Master of everywhere they hide and cower

So to the idiots at the Globe & Mail: show me where exactly Canadian and Afghan troops can’t go in Arghandab. Because the Taliban can’t be said to control a damned thing otherwise…
…except maybe a Toronto newsroom.

Update: From comments at The Torch, by someone who’s served in Kandahar:

I’d like to hear the source for the reports of ‘hundreds of Taliban’ in the area. I’d bet it’s an Afghan source.
A good rule of thumb that I learned there: When an Afghan tells you a number of Taliban, dividing by 10 will be closer to the truth.

  1. It’s not about sensationalizing Damian, it’s about undermining the mission and somehow turning it into Vietnamistan.

  2. I kinda wish it was true, then our soldiers could roll up into those villages and kill every single taliban that were supposedly in those 18 villages.
It’s funny — the only people who don’t seem to understand that every time the taliban fights, they lose, are the media. Just going by that axiom shows how ridiculous their claims are.

  3. Seomtimes it’s like reading sports reports in the hometown newspaper. Barely suppressed media jubiliation about that jail break, it was like their side staged a come back in the late moments of a game.

  4. MSM can’t wait to publish Taliban propaganda on behalf of Taliban Jack and the rest of the leftist defeatists in Canada

“No large formation of insurgents were met or spotted. Only minor incidents occurred,” alliance spokesman Maj. Gen. Carlos Branco said at a news conference with Azimi. “The insurgents who were there, were evidently not in the numbers or with the foothold that they have claimed.”
