Nancy Pelosi demonstrates her keen understanding of military affairs – and credits Iranian goodwill for the success of the surge:
Asked if she saw any evidence of the surge’s positive impact on her May 17 trip to Iraq she responded:
Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.
One hardly knows how to respond to such idiocy. The Iranians are finding it harder to blow up American troops these days, so it must be because of their goodwill. Of course.
Nancy Pelosi is the daughter of a well known Baltimore Socialist family… That says it all!
Well after her foreign policy dalliance to Syria, which proved she can’t read her own Constitution, what should one expect.
Last time I checked the responsibility for foreign affairs rests with the Secretary of State rather than the House Speaker.
But what do I know, I’m only a canucklehead.

I remember reading a description of pelosi; she has the eyes of a horse running from a burning barn.
A funny description at the time, but now the barn is really burning, and she’s adding to the damage as she runs.
