The RCMP investigation into alleged misconduct by Canadian Human Rights Commission employees goes national on CTV News tonight*.
A big thanks to all of you who have pushed this story behind the scenes with your local media and politicians, in your opinion and editorial columns, and to Mike Duffy, who has been the pointy end of the spear poking at the MSM in recent weeks.
Update – *my information (by way of Mike Duffy) indicated that Bob Fife would be reporting on the RCMP investigation this evening. I didn’t catch all of the National, but the part I did had no mention of it.
Given what the HRCs are prepared to do to people in the name of human rights, I shudder to imagine what they’d do to an accident victim in the name of first aid.

Duffy had Ezra Levant on today, briefly explaining how the HRC has actually, itself, posted offensive statements on blogs to try to ‘attract’ statements from people who Really Feel That Way…rather than pretend (as the HRC people will claim they are doing).
AND, how the HRC tried to disguise its postings by hacking into private people’s internet lines. This was harder to explain…
AND, how one person in particular, our friend Lucy, was an ex-HRC staff member and was filing claims of ‘being offended’ both during his tenure and afterwards, and receiving tax-free settlements as a result.
Duffy let him talk – it’s getting out. The fight continues.

Sweaty palms ? – thinking back to the once in a life time journalistic classic – the Mike Duffy take down of Head Lib Strater on live TV.
[Liberal tactician John Duffy, a regular guest on the CTV show Countdown with Mike Duffy, had grown visibly weary of questions about the attack ad, which was distributed to the media and posted briefly on the Internet but never aired on television.
That, however, is what Mike Duffy wanted to ask about. And when Duffy the strategist tried to dismiss Duffy the journalist, redirecting his question into a discussion about the debate, the popular host staged a fiery television attack of his own.
With cameras rolling on what may have been the most captivating 30 seconds of TV of the campaign thus far, the host spilled the beans about an off-camera plea from his guest not to raise the ad, which warned a Conservative government under Stephen Harper would lead to “soldiers with guns� in Canadian cities.
“You were in here earlier when we were off the air on a commercial break trying to intimidate me into not going back to that ad,� said Mr. Duffy, his voice rising in indignation.]
I’d love to see any video of that, ET, if there is any.

I remember in 2006, when Duffy called out that Liberal adviser on live television. I had written Duffy off as a hack, and I could not have been more wrong. Duffy is a good man whose number one focus is balanced objective reporting and freedom of the press. He has proved it once again on the HRC story. Duffy is the greatest asset CTV has.
Didn’t see this on the CTV national news either.
There something different about Duffy. cant put my finger on it but he’s defiantly at the top of his game lately. Make no Mistake. All I will say is he can be a sneaky SOB pinning his guests like that. They looked like there necks where in a noose.
I caught the Duffy vs. duffy bit when it happened and have been a fan of the big guy ever since. It must be tough to tread water in a pool of fools for so long.Kudos to the MD.BTW,whatever happened to the little duffy? I haven’t seen his toothy sneer on the tube for a long while,even beer and popcorn Reid is still showing his alcohol ravaged facade on the opinion shows every so often.
Watched Duffy today with Ezra Levant. I’m amazed that CTV even let this get any air time. He plugs Bob Fife & his interview with Ms Hechme for the National at the end. Watched the National at 11 pm tonight: not a peep, zilch, nada, on the RCMP investigation into the CHRC hacking her internet account. Maybe Ms Hechme got cold feet. Or Bob Fife did, or someone else. Makes Duffy look like he’s feeding us a line, though.
I’m a betting man: A $100.00 says we don’t hear squat about this RCMP investigation again, or anything but a white wash if we do.
Duffy knows he is on to something big. As a newsman, he realizes how the hrc’s can affect him and his right to report the facts. The left-lib media must be spinning like tops, realizing they no longer have control over what is reported, and what isn’t. Not long now until the hrc’s are dismantled and go down in the history of Canada as the vile attempt to squelch freedom of speech by the left.
Honestly, who’d have thought six months ago that we’d hear the following question being asked on national television:
“Am I correct in understanding that some people who were former human rights investigators have left the human rights commission and are now launching human rights complaints on their own, saying that they’ve — they go and troll for hate, and then come back and say, ‘I’ve found hate, I’ve been so hurt and offended by this I want damages’ — and so they’re making a living off this activity?”
Let alone that they’d ask Ezra Levant.

Although there is enough anti-CPC on the blogs that is more legit than what Fife could spin. Nothing like a loyal member voter spurned….and rightly so…this should be a wakeup call.
having delayed a story or two myslef in the past this is easy to do. Stopping the story forever is next to impossible without legal tools.
All the CHRC had to do was have their rather attractive PR person work CTV to say and point out errors or potential errors in the report, assuming CTV let them see it….which quite honestly would be unlikely. But all she has to do is make her case that there MIGHT be something inaccurate. The effect is to cause CTV to go back and reconfirm the report. That could take one hour, one day or one week….but I will tell you that doing that is dangerous since if you are wrong in your intmations then they will come after you like a ton of bricks.
This report will air, be patient, let CTV do its job, dont see conspiracy theories and let it all play out. The fact that Duffy said there was going to be a report means one exists and orgs like CTV dont like not showing stories they say they have.
Oh and by the way, once the story is on one orgs editorial radar the others will look for their own angle on it to cover as well. If Fife’s story draws blood this will turn into a feeding frenzy…..I wouldnt want to be the CHRC press person today, but if she wants advice I would happily meet at her Hy’s for a nice dinner 😉
Why would Bobby Fife be interviewing someone? Did not CTV claim he was a commentator and not a reporter after the “knuckle dragging” comment to the living mummy, Lloyd?

CTV might drag its feet a little, but to CBC and Star and Globe, the investigation of the federal human rights commission by the federal police for the rights violation of a private citizen isn’t even a story. (The censorship gang can spin and squirm and wiggle all it wants but the only people who could have or should have had the Jadewarr username and password were CHRC employees or their close associates and they were used on an innocent citizen’s Internet account.)
So is this poor citizen going to sue the HRC into non-existence for illegally hacking into her personal network and exposing her name and address to the general public for no good reason?
Not to mention being on the hook for the “crimes” committed by HRC staff whilst imitating her?
The CTV / Duffy / Levant clip plays very naturally with crisp clear sound. Fortunately it gets through the HRC part before stalling on the Abolish the Senate / Joy Mcphail part.
