And then be aware that there are those who, while admitting their own token effort won’t make any difference, think that an hour of illuminated dissent will result in “driving up your electric bill”. This is less awareness raising than it is an IQ test for the candle powered.
But that’s not all. Be aware when Green Party peepers come prowling your property;
Between 8 and 9 tonight, I’ll be doing what I usually do at that time:I’ll be out with my wife walking our two dogs 5km around our small town.
Tonight, however, I’ll be looking at my neighbours’ windows to see which ones are participating in Earth Hour.
And I’ll be looking out mine to see which ones are skipping national Clean Your Firearms Day.

I am away this weekend down in Albuquerque…I was out for dinner with my friend here and one of our fave spots in the Sandia Foothills overlooking the city. The waitress came by our table just a couple minutes before 8pm to tell us they were dimming all the lights so I made a point of watching over the city to see if I could see any significant dimming…nope…as far as I can tell the people here sure did not buy into the idea.

didn’t take note of the 8 pm earth hour in Vancouver, but I did notice all the street lights along Marine Drive were on while I was driving in bright sunshine today.
You know what’s going to happen. After four or five more extra cold winters the Koyidiots are going to be dancing around rejoicing about how crap like this saved the planet.
