Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Great clip. I thought it amazing that he was able to exit and re-enter the plane on the same jump/soar… (!). “This isn’t flying; it’s falling with style!”
I see, though, that the flyer lost his life in another skydiving accident. Sad.
For powered human flight, it’s still hard to beat ‘Jet Man’ Yves Rossy.

That was great.
How long does it take to get to that level of expertise.
Can’t help but think of Wile E. Coyote when I see this.
It’s actually Verbier, not la Verbia. (My sister lives there).

Sheesh! Its thrilling to watch, but does this guy have any loved ones? I cannot understand his motivation at all…
Can’t wait until these are mass produced in China. Quality control anyone?
The Discovery Channel recently did a story on this fellow ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEXxkWXncuo ) who is building and flying a variety of strap-on jet-powered wing backpacks. It doesn’t seem much safer, but I think I’d rather have the powered version.
Man, the higher intellegence animal ?
Naw, Flying Squirrels perfected that kind of gliding long ago but they know better than to land where there is a blender out front 🙁
This guy is going to die soon.
AQS, he died ten years ago.
Who needs a suit of a ‘shute?
Sorry wrong link above, watch this one…
The diver in the bottom link is dead. The one at the top link is still very much alive.
For me, an interesting spectator sport.
Notice the next video is entitled **In memory of _____**
Don*t do this at home. = TG
That skydiving thing was absolutely AWESOME! 15 feet off the snow, what’s not to like!!! Man, if I was 20 again… my mum would kill me!
What was that!
Are you sure it isnt ESPRETOS MARCOS or VELA LaCAVA
