  1. Good show, you’ve undressed the bugger for all to see: DON BEEMER EVERYONE!
Are there no depths too low for the mind of a Liberal in desperation?

  2. There are none Liz. They will do anything for power. And particularly delightful is that they are proud of this. Smarmy even, in many cases.

  3. Jory Capital? Those horrible commercials that pound my eardrums every day on CJOB? And those lame paid-for programs they host during the weekends?
Remind me to not invest there, given the apparent maturity of the leadership.

  4. What I really do not get is how these guys can think they will remain anonymous. Rudimentary searches on an IP address will provide all the identity info to out these drive by artists. Sheeesh.

  5. Mr. Beemer is also the Chairman of the Fundraising Committee for the Manitoba Liberal Party and Vice President of the Winnipeg Section of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association.
I checked out his blog, where his mastery of the English language (and personal attack) is apparent… He refers to Peter MacKay as “the biggest girlie-man in the House”, Manitoba PC Leader Hugh McFadyen as a “Dope”, MP Rona Ambrose as a “Prop… with fabulous hair”, Gordon O’Connor as a “dork” and a “turd”, as well as “the stupidest man ever to be a cabinet minister in the history of our country”.
Is this what passes for intelligence these days? I can only shake my head in disbelief.

  6. hehe – my comment above was only from the front page of his blog… digging a little deeper – I found this gem…
“Apparently, I no longer have an option. I can’t quit. Last night the Liberal Party of Canada awarded me, in recognition of my contributions and services to the party over the past few decades, a lifetime membership in the Liberal Party of Canada.
If I look back, both the party and the people who populate its structure have had an enormous impact on shaping my life and who I am today.”
Doesn’t that pretty much say it all?

  7. In Manitoba the residents suffer from frozen brains for eight months a year and then mosquito insanity the other four months. Toss a major flood every four years and you have a gulag.
I also think it’s time to change the name of Manitoba to Personatoba just to be in keeping with the NDP and Liberal politically correct tendancy.

Coming from you, John, that’s a compliment. Usually, you’ll throw a racist comment in there just to assure everyone that you can’t be taken seriously.

  9. Don Beemer, is he related to Freddy Beemer?
You know, Freddy Beemer the garage mechanic that stole Rockford’s identity when Jim was out of town. Jim had to trick Beemer into leaving town by sending him on a Greyhound to the country where he was supposed to keep an eye on “Tombstone Tommy Ricco” and “Big Jack Christiani”, the mob connected artichoke kings.
Freddy just dreamed of being a big player instead of the living in the dreary reality that was his. But Freddy wasn’t coarse and vulgar like Don is.

sland MP said former PM should be hanged print this article
    WAYNE THIBODEAU
    The Guardian
A P.E.I. MP says he is going to issue a formal apology for suggesting former prime minister Brian Mulroney should be hanged.
Charlottetown MP Shawn Murphy made the comments while heckling another MP prior to question period Thursday.
“Get tough on crime, bring forth Brian Mulroney!’’ Murphy is heard saying in the House of Commons during a highly-charged debate on the passage of the Conservative government’s new crime bill.
“Hang him high, hang Mulroney! Let’s get this Mulroney before the courts as soon as possible and hang him high! We gotta get Mulroney, put a noose on his head, put a noose on his head. Get tough on crime.’’
The exchange was between Murphy and Ed Fast, the Conservative MP from Abbotsford, B.C.
Fast, who sits next to Murphy, rose to congratulate his party on the passage of his government’s new crime bill.
That’s when Murphy made the comments.
Murphy is head of the House of Commons public accounts committee.
In a statement issued to The Guardian Friday, Murphy said he is going to apologize.
“There was some overzealous heckling going on in question period (Thursday) afternoon — way too much actually — mainly because of the Cadman affair and the crime bill,’’ said Murphy.
“My comments were totally rhetorical in line with other heckling going on at the time.’’
Murphy went on to say: “On reflection, I agree that my comments were over the top and inappropriate, and I plan to make a full apology to the house when I return on Monday.’’
So now we have Shawn Murphy wanting to HANG former PM Brian Mulroney. An Irishman wanting to kill an Irishman with St. Patrick’s day just around the corner. What a way to start the month of March.
I thought the Irish signed a peace accord and now they want to start “The Troubles” here in Canada again? No doubt St. Patrick will be mighty displeased!!
Yep, ELEVATING A DEBATE by calling for a HANGING!!

  11. I think there should be a major distinction here. Don os not as mich a so called “;iberal” perse as he is a partisan political hack.
I have net many a liberal in my day who you can communicate and reason with…mind you they were unconnected to any political organization or ideological dogma.
What you got with Beemer there is your lock step narrow minded partisan who’s thinking and actions have been compartmentalized by dogmatics and organizational dictums.
Partisanism and “party systems” will not serve the societies or political discourse of this millennium…civil solutions come from open debate between free thinkers…all partisanism does is present narrow theatrics and warring tribalism to society.
Think outside the partisan box…it’s the future.

  12. Nothing turns off an old conservative like myself off more that dealing with a liberal. I wonder how the other board members would feel if his comments jeopardized investment from conservative investors? Anybody have time to write a letter?
The one thing that really caught my attention was that this individual was the TREASURER of the BBB. As a cretienite loyalist it sure stands up my antenna.
One other thought, what is he VP of at Jory? Finance?

  13. Am I being threatened?
Mr. Beemer has left the following comment at my site, trying to intimidate me:

    Careful Mdcallister/.

    Don | 03.01.08 – 6:19 pm | #

I confirm his IP address and note that he entered my site via the comments herein. Have saved Sitemeter information (screenshot) and have IP address via Haloscan. It is Don Beemer.
Is he taking “war” advice from Warren?
Whatever. Know what? Let ’em bring it on. I’m but one of many…

  14. Hans, thanks for posting the verbatum on the Murphy rant. The guy was right out of his tree. It’s like he couldn’t stop himself. It takes alot of hate and venom to carry on like that. His apology will count for nothing, we know how he really feels.
You don’t get fired up and red faced without conviction.

  15. Canadian Sentinel
He’s threatening you, what does that tell you? He’s sucking wind, when you are truly serious you just act. In my world, the business world, I say nothing, I just have them served with papers, funny how quite they are then.

  16. WC, I got the same attempt at a threat from his good buddy Warren Kinsella, too.
You know, after Kinsella’s bloviating deflation and now Don’s empty warnings to “be careful”, I don’t worry anymore.
I’ll continue to tell it like it is.
Yes. Why don’t they just shut up and simply serve us? Why make a big stink about serving us and then not?
Oh, I know. Because they’re bluffing. People who aren’t bluffing simply call their lawyer and have ’em get the gears moving.

  17. And people look at me as if I were a wild-eyed conspirationalist when I say that the Canadian establishment is Liberal and must be overthrown.

  18. It would appear you can say anything at all about a person in Canada as long as that person is a conservative, a Christian, any white man (who is not an effeminate leftist – metro sexual) or in any way on the political right side of the political spectrum.
    That’s discrimination gone haywire.
We should have never given women the vote, look where we are now. It’s a total girly world and boy will NOT be boys if the state has anything to do with it … and they most certainly do.

  19. Bcer,
What an asshole you must be. I have been commenting here for a very long time am to the right of Ayn Rand.
You remind me of the transformed humans in the older version of the Body Snatchers where you exhale loudly while pointing finger at anyone who isn’t you.
Again, you must be a real asshole.

  20. It’s the internet, people. Vicious, vulgar, vacuous insults are part of standard operating procedure, and if one side is notably better behaved than the other I don’t see it (a comment likely to piss off all political persuasions).

  21. I heard Mr Murphys prolonged outburst: it was not heckling, he was deliberately trying to drown out the speach of his conservative desk-mate, Mr Fast. Is this PEI’s idea of free speach? of manners? of debate? you may be the cradle of confederation, but wiht representatives like this, you ahve clearly not grown up.
I tried posting this comment at the PEI Guardian website; I was not successful.

  22. i don’t believe in appealing to the ‘senatus’ in matters such as mr beemers indiscretion…remember we are all of us slowly finding our way back to a older truer existence in the matter of public discourse after the gelding depredations of 40 years of aimless LLLiberal social experimentation…
the old code duello answers very well indeed in matters such as this…..i believe in it…i rely on it and use it in my personal affairs and find it answers very well indeed…..i suggest this beemers chap be contacted..pressed for an apology and if THAT is not forthcoming instanter then i think the offended party should demand satisfaction…
pitchforks at 40 paces…or flails perhaps….surely a few flails exist in museums or barns still….harrow discs as frisbee bruce lee thingys maybe…

  23. the greatest threat to the future of Canada is liberalism – they are the most cowardly, immoral and corrupt people going – it’s poetic justice when someone like Beemer gets caught, I just love it, thanks Kate…

  24. What else does it take for the average Ontario liberal moron to see through these transparent thieves called liberals. They can’t stand the fact that they can’t steal from the opposition side of the house, they must at all costs, regain power to continue stealing like they always have, they don’t care about Canada a fig, they love the stolen money from the public treasury. Stinking despicable liberals, make me puke.

  25. Maybe Don’s colleagues at the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, where he is one the Winnipeg Section Board of Directors 2007/2008, might like to be aware of his penchant for clarity in prose.

  26. Many Saturdays I’ve listened to Jory Capital broadcasts (Patrick Cooney & others) on CJOB and since I’m in agreement with much of their investing philosophy regarding hard assests I was contemplating opening an account, however with scum such as Don Beemer on Jory executive that won’t happen anytime soon. This revelation regarding true character of Beemer came at a most appropriate time for me and I say thank you Mike Brock and Kate.

  27. [deleted. If you want to mount “campaigns” that go beyond fair comment, do it on your own blog. – ED]

  28. I don’t think much distance exists between any of the people in the federal liberal party. Read beamers disgusting scribbles and then watch “stefan surrender” and his colleagues in the house. Not much of slide to get from one bunch to the other.
Personal ethics going hand in hand with good manners and behaviour. That is something these folks will never understand.

  29. “Don seems to have quite a long involvement in politics. This site here says he was a loyal Chretienite.
He’s also been (or still is), treasurer for the Better Business Bureau Manitoba.”
Is the Better Business Bureau of Manitoba insane?
What happens to a treasury when minded by ” loyal Chretienite’s”?
    Exactly!
