ElBaradei Out Of The Loop?

What’s going on at the International Atomic Energy Agency?
Friday, Feb 22:

“In the last four months, in particular, we have made quite good progress in clarifying the outstanding issues that had to do with Iran´s past nuclear activities, with the exception of one issue, and that is the alleged weaponization studies that supposedly Iran has conducted in the past. We have managed to clarify all the remaining outstanding issues, including the most important issue, which is the scope and nature of Iran´s enrichment programme.”

Tuesday, Feb 26:

“A senior diplomat who attended the IAEA meeting said that among the material shown was an Iranian video depicting mock-ups of a missile re-entry vehicle. He said IAEA Director General Oli Heinonen suggested the component — which brings missiles back from the stratosphere — was configured in a way that strongly suggests it was meant to carry a nuclear warhead.
Other documentation showed the Iranians experimenting with warheads and missile trajectories where “the height of the burst … didn’t make sense for conventional warheads,” he said.”

  1. Well what did you expect? He’s a lawyer, not a nuclear scientist or anything useful like that. He wouldn’t know an enriched plutonium atom if it came up and bit him in the a##. What’s that favorite Egyptian term? Oh yeah…bakshee.

  2. Is it just me, or does anyone else think having someone named Mohamed police Muslim terrorist states angainst getting nukes, is a bad idea?

  3. “Other documentation showed the Iranians experimenting with warheads and missile trajectories where “the height of the burst … didn’t make sense for conventional warheads,” he said.”
That sentence would suggest attempting and EMP (electro magnetic pulse) explosion to render regular circuitry useless.
Only shielded circuitry would still function, usually defence type stuff.

  4. D’ya’think? Could it be? They wouldn’t lie to use would they? Naw!! Why… all those left wing dirt bags that supported them in the Holocaust Conference wouldn’t support them if they were nut cases or bad guys…would they?

  5. Too many appeasers in the West. Europe, forget about it, you’d think they’d learn.
Obama is an appeaser. Hillary is just nuts.
    McCain hopefully will become Pres.

  6. Baradei is in the loop, but $20 says that he is a mole. A corrupt one. I am sure he’s got a bag of cash from the mullahs. But who I am to pass judgment?

Actually, air bursts of nukes increases the effectiveness of the blast. You set it off a KM up or so and the damage is exponential.
Same with the MOABs and the other huge fuel-air bombs.
EMP’s are generally triggered by upper atmosphere detonations.

  8. Thanks Warwick, I did my advanced theoretical physics course with a focus on shock waves.
Shock waves are useful for shattering a whole lot of stuff. Height of the explosion depends on what part of the infrastucture you are trying to lay waste.

  9. It would be interesting for the tactical chess player to look forward and suggest how Iran is likely to play the nuclear move for *check mate*.
Seems Acmahdinejad is content with keeping Hizballah at low idle along the border and in Gaza. Muqtada al Sadr is also on simmer for the time being in Iraq.
Something seems to be in the works. Who knows what Shiaa leaning Maliki has in the offing. = TG
