  6. What Khamenei stated is consistent with Islamic ideology, going back to Mo. The essence of Islamic morals and dogma is wholly based on what helps or hinders the spread of political Islam. In other words, if something helps Islam, it’s good and godly. If something hinders Islam, it’s satanic and evil.
    That’s why their religious morality is mostly opposite others. ‘Good and godly’ can (and usually does) consist of murder, torture, genocide, rape, slavery and plunder.

    Interesting take “progressive” journalism has on Islamic absolutism…they just can’t get past the idea that some orthodoxies cannot be reasoned with…or “talked” into compromise…they can’t understand absolutism..they are relativists so Absolutist thought is enigmatic to them….so they fill in the blanks with warm fuzzy wishful thinking.
    As in this case, clerical Islam has made it quite clear that the US is profane…an unbeliever..an infidel nation…the great satan…and they will only “negotiate” once the US has been “converted” to the word of the true prophet and worship of the true god…when the US has a “islamic” government….seems pretty absolute/resolute to me….but if you are left-inclined and filter everything through a utopian filter what fundamentalist Islam is saying approximates what we see in “progressive” publications….it’s absolutism presented with a fwuffy-bunny wrapper.

    So what’s behind the violence in Kenya? No, say it ain’t so.

Kenya’s Muslim population is roughly 10% – that historical tipping point where the Muslims traditionally assert themselves and their Islamic law (sharia) on the poor, unsuspecting host country.
    For it is the unique nexus of bloody violence between tribes – Kikuyu and Luo – and religions – Christianity and Islam – unraveling Kenya right now that gives Obama his opportunity. After all, his father, Barrack Hussein Obama Senior, was Luo and a Moslem.
    When Raila Odinga lost the presidential election last week (12/27) to Mwai Kibaki, he claimed the vote was rigged, whereupon his tribal followers went on murderous rampages such as in the town of Eldoret, where on New Years Day dozens of people were burned to death in a church set on fire.
    Throughout Kenya, hundreds of people have been politically murdered in the last few days.
    The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya has posted on its website a photograph copy of a Memorandum of Understanding, dated and signed on August 29, 2007, between Raila Odinga and Shiekh Abdullah Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya.
    It pledges the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila’s election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees to 14 actions, listed a) through n) on page two. Read them all, and be sure you’re sitting down. Here’s a sample:
    b) Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.
    c) With immediate effect dismiss the Commissioner of Police who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists to oppress the Kenyan Muslim community.
    g) Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters. [Note: everywhere in Kenya, not just in “Muslim declared regions.”]
    And here is the biggest non-surprise: Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a “close personal friendship” with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior.
    When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi.

  16. I just finished reading one of the most powerful and insightful books I have ever encountered and it should be required reading in our schools and by our politicians especially bin Layton. The book “Infidel” by Ayaan Hirsi Ali is one we all must read. She describes her life as a Muslim and it is a real introduction to this dangerous theocracy. She writes about life in Kenya and is amazed at the rapid growth of Islam there. The blindness of her adopted country, Holland, to the dangers of Muslims astounds her as she makes the decision to leave the Muslim faith. There is a fatwa on her and she is protected by security 24/7 or she will be killed as Theo Van Gogh was.
    One example on this blindness was when she told her fellow members of parliament that honour killing was happening all the time yet they refused to believe it. When she finally got the police to track the statistics they initially analyzed just 2 of the 25 counties yet it showed 11 girls were murdered in just 8 months! Ali is a giant and her courage is remarkable.
    Barbara Slavin seems to following the same path of refusing to see the true message.

  17. What is it that makes some people tell lies, half truths, omit truth and make up something other then what actually occurred?
    It is just very hard to understand, that apparently sensible and well adjusted people will lie for an ideology, it is as though they have trouble living with reality.
    Some say that liberalism is a mental disorder; it seems to be something more serious than that.

    It *is* depressing to hear self-nominated “feminists” so loudly expressing their disgust at what essentially amounts to knitting in frustration. Oprah, anyone?
    Real women make babies and get their men under control. How would that statement work in Islamic teaching?
