Kick off is just under an hour away. For Sask expats (or the just plain curious) who can’t get the game on TV, you can listen live at 620 CKRM Regina (and get a better play by play than the CBC). From the reports coming out of a completely befuddled Toronto, the stands are going to be about 75% green&white.
As an indicator of just how big a deal this game is for the province – yesterday’s Regina Leader Post featured 32 pages of coverage.

At times it wasn’t pretty, but congratulations to Kent Austin, the Riders and the “Nation” – Grey Cup Champions. |
And special tip-o-the-hat to Premier Brad Wall and the SaskParty – for removing the NDP jinx from office and making a Grey Cup win possible again.
From a dog show list I belong to:
“The streets are KAOS….oops..I mean Chaos!!!!! Albert St and Vic is impassable, the intersection had to have 1000 people standing on the streets and sidewalks. The Albert St bridge is packed with
cars and people walking carrying flags open beer, which will get them in trouble, Horns honking…..and jsut bedlam!
I ran into Joyce D. ( WF Terriers) at my parents apartment lobby, and she said there was a totally naked guy running down Albert St. between the cars….she said she forgot her camera! hahaha….We made it out to Victoria via McIntyre and headed east to home…..the noise and traffic is incredible…what a great win for all of Saskatchewan!!!”

GO BOMBERS !!!
I have to support my next door neighbours, GO RIDERS!
Go Riders
The Riders are off to a good start.
Bombers intercept !!
Good luck to the roughies.!!!
Need a turn over near an end to open this up….
the trick is to get the play by play on the radio but watch the action with the sound off on the dreaded cbc.
works fer yer avg hockey game too or so Im told. I find hockey painfully repetitive.
The riders can’t catch a darn ball!!!!
The Riders must have gotten some pointers from Danny Macioca in Edmonton, they are looking very average right now….need to pick it up!!
The game is closer than the score would indicate.
At least the half time in Toronto this time is better than Frank D’angelo and the Steelback 24 doing old Trooper songs 😉
Ok, the Riders have made it up to me.
Beautiful comeback for Riders in the first half.
After being butter-fingered for most of the beginning, Saskatchewan get it together.
up 3 and a critical turn over in bomber terrirtory…hmmm the plot thickens 😉
TOUCHDOWN BOMBERS!!!
Dinwiddie should NOT be throwing those across-the-field passes. You’d think he’d have learned his lesson after the first pick.
TOUCHDOWN RIDERS!
YEA! GO! GO! GO!
I am listening to the game in China. It is Monday morning.
I am so happy that the Grey Cup is All-Prairie.
Is Toronto doing a good job as host?
The Riders are driving. We here in DSM get the CFL on our regular Cable Station. Remember it as a kid. cool game.
GG Saskatchewan. I was hoping there at the end, but that interception ended it.
SASK WINS
GOOD WORK RIDERS
THE NDP CURSE IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Riders . Great game
Full marks to the Riders on their 3rd ever Grey Cup. Congratulations.
and RIDER PRIDE runs NATION WIDE!!!
Congratulation to the Riders. Sask deserves it.
I am not a fan, but with 2 grandkids born in Regina, and Kindersley, guess I can pretend to understand the game.
Congratulations, KateLand – turfing the Dippers, and winning a Grey Cup, all in one month!
From a jealous Torontonian.
Just think of all the Grey Cups Sask coulda had if the NDP had never been elected.
Congrats to my old home province! Rider Pride.
kerry joseph you just plain suck and should be traded or benched. your performance is less than rookie. throws behind the reciever, low throws, overthrows. my granny could do better
Congratulations from Manitoba.
Sask has the top Football team … a good new government … Kate McMillan ….. an economic boom around the corner …. wow …. good for you.
Congrats to the Riders and all their fans!
BRAVO, Riders!
….and it also looks like the name of your province is now KateLand according to Flaggman . Very appropriate. I like it.
Congrats to the Riders! My grandfather is looking down from heaven and smiling at the win.
Anyone else ready to scream from the number of times that Mark Lee called “Dinwiddie” a gunslinger?
Krikey, I’m glad that CBC is out of CFL coverage next year… They’ve been pretty bad for better than a decade now.
Dumping the NDP has its Rewards.
I’m more rady to scream at all the easterners who pronounce it “Sass-kat-chew-onnn”.
We get rid of the NDP and already good things happen. Riders Rule!
Congratulations to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. They could have laid down after losing their No1 QB but they played extremely tough.
Shockingly though like the Janet Jackson Nipplegate scandal at the superbowl a few years ago Canada now has the Lenny Kravitz butt crack scandal. 🙂
The WEST won the Grey Cup and the WEST was the runner up. Go Riders and Bombers!!
The “GAP” is filling up nicely.
Congrats y’all.
The right way to go green. At least we still have one team of “Roughriders”.
Mark
Ottawa
Displaying my Green & White colours – in grass and snow, in Winnipeg.
Bets on how long my boulevard art lasts?
Damn. Good game — our defense kicked the crap out of the Riders, but the offense couldn’t move the ball. This is going to make next Labour Day unbearable.
Congratulations Riders and Rider fans from this Winnipegger. Of course I wish it could have gone the other way, but you guys are worthy champions.
Congratulations to the Riders and their watermelon heads from a Calgary based Pegger.
Disappointed naturally but under the circumstances my beloved Bombers have nothing to be ashamed of.
…Sask was lucky to win. One good QB and they’d be toast.
Winnipeg had the better defense.
Dinwiddie did the rookie thing.
He projected his passes, he went to the same well too many times.
But hey, how’d you react under that pressure?
…then again I don’t get paid $300,000+ for 18 games
Beauty. They deserved it.
WHAT A GAME!! Well done Riders!!
And now back to our regular scheduled programing…
GO STAMPS GO!!!!!
Cheers and see you next season.
