Sask NDP Fall For My Ruse

Hoping to take advantage of my declared absence, Lorne “small dead animals doesn’t speak for the people of Saskatchewan” Calvert has scheduled his nomination meeting for Wednesday night.
And not a moment too soon – with no more pulp mills left to “invest in” or casino cash to toss around, the only thing left was a last minute university tuition cut announcement and we’re good to go.
Your Saskatchewan election venting/predictions here!
Update: We go to the polls on November 7. Elections Saskatchewan scoops the Premier. (via 650 CKOM)

  1. On the subject of environmental initiatives..
I see that some folks are wise to the little games the NDP are playing with their monopoly over the utilities.
You will find that this is true in the socialist realm of Manitoba and in BC as well.
Ontario pretty much the same although the power utilities are supposedly not under the thrall of the government. Alberta so far as I know … same thing.
The problem you see is that the governments are more interested in REGULATING the technology than in seeing people benefit from it. The utilities simple have NO incentive to cooperate other than to pay lip service to public demand for the sake of image.
Same dynamic is happening in a BIG way in other areas of environmental technology.

  2. Buying votes to the last minute!
    Teachers Strike Deal
    October 10, 2007
There is no threat of classes being disrupted by striking teachers. The
province’s teachers have ratified the agreement between the Saskatchewan
Teachers Federation and the provincial government. Close to 65 per cent voted
for the deal. Over the next three year teachers will gets pay hikes of 5 per
cent, 4 per cent and 3 and a half per cent. They will also see better benefits,
including more maternity leave and more government contributions to their
    retirement plan.

  3. Troll, I’m the bint who deleted it.
I’m male and it offended my sensibilities. That particular word isn’t welcome in any area where I have the capability to influence and given that Kate was still on the road, I used my influence.
I understand that your vocabulary is limited, if you need help with the real comments and posts on this site, please see freedictionary.com
    Now bugger off.

  4. I would like to hope Saskatchewan would begin putting to death the “legacy” of Tommy Douglas and start a long prosperous Conservative reign.
Unfortunately most of the good Saskatchewan Conservatives are here in Alberta earning a lavish living and such.
There’s more oil-rigs flying Rider flags in Alberta than Saskatchewan…

  5. Knight…that’s because there’s more oil rigs in Alberta than Saskatchewan, the oil drilling not the oil, stops at the Sask border doncha know.

  6. We’re in a boom that the Tories said would never happen. We’re in the black and a “have” province.
A housing boom, buisness boom and you still are in shock. We’ll get the transfer payments too. You guys are so obtuse it’s a joke. It started 10 years ago. I witnessed it. All around Regina and Saskatoon all the while your SaskaTories denied it. Your right wing media denied it. Get your pointed heads out of your square arsses. It’ll be a close election that’s for sure.

  7. Conservatives can be happy that the Troll is a self-identified member of either the NDP or the Crooked Liberals.
I wonder if the commie parties realize that they have a demented misogynist as a member of their parties?
And who could become a danger to the women in those parties.

  8. the real problem will be the NDP paying people to vote, (highly illegal but not unheard of) and ferrying people to different poll stations throughout the province. I know what the naysayers (trolls) will say about that but it is a reality and the only way to counter that is for every single one of the Saskachewanites who really truly want change is to get out and vote. I know I’m preaching to the converted here

  9. Whatever the NDP have or have not done here will be decided by the voters. I’ve been around for over 50 years and the NDP have not hurt or ripped off the people of Sask. How many ex tories that these Sask Party used to work for got seats on corp, they called themselves consultants? How many got paid 100’s of thousands for their service. You guys are young on here and uninformed. Buisnesses create wealth for themselves. Just look at the states. Some crooked CEO gets 100’s of millions for downsizing and firing workers. Do any of you people on this blog actually have good paying jobs or know what a good paying job is? I talked to a young man today at a fast food joint. He’s married and has a child. I asked what he thought of the increase in minimum wage would do for him. He wasn’t sure.He thought it would be a bad move. This is a kid probably making around minimum wage. He said he gets a raise everytime the minimum wage goes up but felt sorry for his boss who lives in a 200,000.00 house in a suburb. He’s got a plan to make big money. It’s a dream
That just shows the biggest problem we have is getting people not to listen to underpaid probably overworked dreamers that are on this blog. What’s good for buisneses is not good for everyone. I’ve worked in private sector and public. Public pays better and has the golden handcuffs. Benefits. Not everyone is that lucky.People on low wages cannot afford the basics. Lots shop at value village and the SEars bargain centre. That’s where I shop. Free enterprise is expensive and not free. I see a lot of middle aged people working at Tim Hortons etc. They work hard and make low wages. It doesn’t matter but I wish more people would read the right wing racist, sexist, homophobic ,radical chritian ageda you have on this blog. More people would think before they voted for you bunch.

  10. I’m probably a bit off topic here, but these lefties are starting to piss me off.
Let’s talk about Afghastan. The Federal NDP (Taliban Jack, shows NO respect for our brave women and men who put their lives on the line to keep this country free. Olivia Chow, Jack’s wife, wanted to remove guns from the Toronto police service when she was a city counsellor. ( Makes good sense to me!). Taliban Jack wants to “koombaya” with the Taliban. Look out for the baseball bat behind your head Jack. (The guys are Einstiens).
Lefty judges continue to let cop killers (Hay River), out of jail and keep our streets totally unsafe!
The Leader of the Opposition (Sophie Dionne)!
“I love these Taliban molesters, beheaders, killers etc. and damn that Conserative Government for killing a few”. Have you lost a son/daughter in this war? I know how proud we all
are of our sons and daughters serving our country aound the world.
The Liberals and NDP in Saskatchewan and Ottawa DO NOT support our troops. These tree huggers and their supporters have no idea who should support us in a time of war or attack.
These fedeal and provincial NDPers are all the same. You put your life on the line. If we win, it’s all because of them. If we lose, there is probably a “white cat/black cat parable” out there somewhere.
Fidel Castro is getting old. Young Tommy Calvert and him bafoons need a place to go. Take your tribe to Cuba Tommy; but, don’t storm out of your meeting with “W” over equalization. The Berumada Triangle might get you.
    Fair well commrade.

  11. With Meadow Lake and P.A. Pulp closed and no allowance from owners for 150 Million clean up.
25 Law suits from Alberta and local investors
