Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Mosque says to avoid Western holidays
Apparently in 2003 this same mosque, the Khalid mosque, which mainly serves the Toronto Somali-Canadian community, apologized for a newsletter that compared wishing someone a Merry Christmas to congratulating a murderer. But if you read their web site, you can see that this is a deeply religious and fundamentalist mosque, and they seem to have a large numbera of members. They seem to be against practically every aspect of modern life, from having pictures of people, to wishing people Happy Birthday. What a bunch of stupidstitious lunatics!!
Seriously, we laugh at those tribesmen who fear having a picture of themselves taken because it might “steal their soul”, but these people are not far from that!
But are they really stupid? This mosque has a very sophisticated web site, and are clearly aware of demographic issues:

I guess they can’t wait for Muslims to be present in Canada in sufficient numbers to starting dictating, rather than whining.
I worry about the 2006 census data which will show how Muslim numbers are rapidly growing.
Seriously, why are these people coming to Canada, and why is Canada taking them in. They are 100% guaranteed to cause major social problems. Look at the recent situation with a kidnapped woman in Somalia.

Canadian Mosque Equates Merry Christmas With Congratulating a Murderer
“The appearance of a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv will be the signal for action by the UN.”
Actually no…. it will be the signal for a collective sigh of relief on the part of 90% of member nations that the final solution to the Israeli problem has finally been found, and other than some posturing and “oh dear” nothing will be done, and hopefully the whole thing will be forgotten in a couple of decades.
After all, Israel is a mistake created by the UN in a moment of weakness and misguided guilt, and and only the holy nuclear fires can cleanse the UN of this sin it perpetrated upon the world.
Think I’m kidding? Sorry, that’s how 90% of UN member nations look at it. It’s hopeless.

Lori, “action by the UN” was a joke. An active UN is almost an oxymoron, especially in view of the lassitude with which ElBaradei and his ilk approach their duties. He could at least pretend to be pushing for disclosure of all nuclear facilities followed by thorough inspections, but evidently doesn’t feel the need even to do that.
VIDEO: American Veteran cuts down illegal Mexican flag flying in Reno:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z0H5-sdL_Q
The follow up on this incident is that according to federal law it is illegal to fly any flag above the U.S. flag, and if flying more than one they must be on separate poles and be of an equal size….also this Vet many be charged.
I injected this graphic story because we will soon be having to exert Canadian sovereignty in the same way in Windsor and other border towns if we don’t get a handle on illegal Mexican invasion (Illegal Mexicans from the US claiming “refugee” status in Canada) and the Atzlan nationalism it brings with it.
If I ever see a Mexican, or Hezbolla or Warrior or Six nation’s or any foreign flag flying above a Canadian flag in this country I will do just as that Reno Veteran did…cut it down.
This is where Munticult/diversity crosses the line to contempt for the nation.
“SEATTLE — A problem in Canada’s hospitals is sending scores of pregnant women south of the border to have their babies.
Carri Ash of Chilliwack, B.C. was sent to the U.S. to have her baby after her water broke on Sunday, ten weeks ahead of schedule.
“And they came in and said ‘you’re going to Seattle,'” she said.
Ash’s hospital couldn’t handle the high-risk pregnancy. Doctors searched for another hospital bed, but even hospitals in Vancouver, B.C. didn’t have a neo-natal bed.
“So two provinces didn’t have enough room, so I have to go to another country,” said Ash.
Ash was sent to Swedish Medical Center where, nurses told KOMO 4 News, five Canadian women have come to have their babies in the past six weeks. Some were even airlifted at up to $5,000 per flight.
And a woman from Calgary, one of the wealthiest cities in Canada, had to travel to Montana to give birth to her identical quadruplets.”

We came so close to World War Three that day (More Info)
A meticulously planned, brilliantly executed surgical strike by Israeli jets on a nuclear installation in Syria on 6 September may have saved the world from a devastating threat. The only problem is that no one outside a tight-lipped knot of top Israeli and American officials knows precisely what that threat involved. Even more curious is that far from pushing the Syrians and Israelis to war, both seem determined to put a lid on the affair. One month after the event, the absence of hard information leads inexorably to the conclusion that the implications must have been enormous.
That was confirmed to The Spectator by a very senior British ministerial source: ‘If people had known how close we came to world war three that day there’d have been mass panic. Never mind the floods or foot-and-mouth — Gordon really would have been dealing with the bloody Book of Revelation and Armageddon.’ …-

Regarding “We came so close to World War Three that day (More Info)”
I was reading something last night where it was stated that one of the deterents facing the Soviets regarding dropping atomic bombs on western Europe was the fact that the prevailing winds, blowing west to east, would blow nuclear fallout right back on top of Russia.
So that amongst many other reasons prevented them from seriously considering a first strike.
The Mid-East Muzzies, on the other hand, are too stupid to recognize or care about this danger to themselves. This makes them extremely dangerous to the rest of us, along with a whole host of other reasons amply covered at this site.

The Palestinians’ Nazi Past and Present-A new book reveals the National Socialist roots of the PA.
The most important book to read on the Palestinians, the Arabs and the Nazis has, unfortunately, not yet been translated into English. Klaus-Michael Mallmann and Martin Cüppers’ Halbmond und Hakenkreuz. Das “Dritte Reich”, die Araber und Palästina, translated Crescent Moon and Swastika: The Third Reich, the Arabs, and Palestine was published September, 2006.
Dr. Klaus-Michael Mallman, the author of many books on Germany and the Holocaust, is Privatdozent für Neuere Geschichte at the University of Essen. Martin Cuppers is a researcher at the Forschungsstelle Ludwigsburg, and has published an important book on the command staff and office of the Reichsfuhrer SS, the Head of the SS, Heinrich Himmler.
Here is a summary of the argument of the book, translated from a long summary in German: …-

>>>> Conclusion: “As Mallmann and Cuppers write, the “remarkable similarity between Nazi propaganda that was broadcast into the Middle East and the treatises of today’s terrorists is not accidental;” the one is the ancestor of the other. Mallmann and Cuppers show that virulent Arab anti-Semitism is older than the founding of the state of Israel in 1948, and they demonstrate what part Nazi Germany had in its propagation. Their work is based on investigations in German archives. …-

Hey, did anyone watch the video on YouTube where Al Gore is so very upset with Pres. Bush Sr. for not going after that nasty Saddam and his WMDs?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDitSbkQKIs
Clinton and Gore came up with a regime-change plan for Saddam’s Iraq, all by themselvesies.
Since he’s done such a U-turn on the whole thing, maybe he’ll do a big U-turn on Global Warming a few years from now.
And no one will remember his stance today. Because he’s a Democrat/Liberal, so he’s Good.
“seriously. Im still reading/hearing about monika and the blue dress and the cigar. why is that?”
Because that sort of stuff turns you on?
Also, maybe cons keep bringing Clinton’s shenanigans up because libs keep lauding him as the most wonderful and smart and fantastic president ever.
Feminists should have been foaming at the mouth about the way he treated a young woman in his employ, about the way he treated many women all through his career, about the way he and his wife trashed the reputations of any woman who dared accuse him of anything, about the way he was credibly accused of rape, harassment, sexual exploitation, etc. (Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas, anyone? Feminists sure jumped on a Republican for being dubiously accused by a woman of something much less than Clinton has been accused of).
Being pro-choice must cover a multitude of sins.
The whole Monica/blue dress thing was used as proof that the President of the United States lied under oath while in court answering questions in a lawsuit brought against him by another woman accusing him of harassing her. That’s perjury. It got him disbarred by the Lawyers Association of the U.S. Even lawyers can only stomach so much.
You libs have blinders on when it comes to that trashy man, so what’s the use. Whenever cons point out things he’s done: selling nuclear secrets to the Chinese so he can get some measly millions for his 1996 campaign, caught in countless dubious deals throughout his political career, pardoning tons of crooks in his last weeks in office, holding about 900 FBI files on his political opponents during his first term when Nixon was impeached for requesting ONE (Clinton dismissed his little spying/blackmailing episode as a “bureaucratic snafu”); intimidating Arkansas state security guards into silence when they tried to bring up his harassment of women; selling known tainted blood from Arkansas prisons to Canadian and European firms (yes, buddy-boy, your wonderful pal Clinton had a big hand in Canadian deaths from tainted blood); claiming credit for bringing down the deficit when that policy was forced on him by a Republican-led Congress under Gingrich . . .
Oh, what’s the use. He’s your saviour. His wife will now be your saviourette. And whenever we bring up what a slimy crook he was/is, you’ll yell “Monica/blue dress/puritanical persecution!!!”

I repeat: The whole Monica/blue dress thing was used as proof that the President of the United States lied under oath while in court answering questions in a lawsuit brought against him by another woman accusing him of harassing her. That’s perjury. It got him disbarred by the Lawyers Association of the U.S. Even lawyers can only stomach so much.
You libs bring it up again and again to bash cons about being obsessed. Go read some more Freud if it makes you feel better knowing cons were right about how icky the man is, and you’ve been taken in by a horny twit. Or more likely, go read some more about the whole episode so you can live vicariusly through your hero. You yourself obviously can’t get much action . . .

The UN and Burma
China will oppose any contemplated UN action against Burma. […]
The UN has become a place where totalitarian regimes block any possibility of change by invoking “national dignity” and “noninterference”. At the same time the UN insists it is the only “legitimate” venue to discuss political affairs, an assertion with which a large number of “patriots” agree.
With national unilateral action de-legitimized and international inaction guaranteed, the only way forward against the Burmese tyrants appears to be a networked resistance of private individuals in whatever legal ways this can be attempted. This is the bitter fruit of so-called transnationalism: a world paralyzed by the veto of tinpot strongmen; a world where all licitness is vested in an organization which has decided, as a matter of principle, to hoard it and do nothing further. The “international system” is so rotten that perhaps it can no longer be saved. The UN may be beyond reform.
wretchard said…
Rudy Giuliani “urged NATO to admit Australia, India, Israel, Japan and Singapore on Wednesday as part of proposals to combat Islamic extremism.” As a trial balloon it seems to have thudded right down to the floor. But I think it is an important idea. Opposition to the UN is often expressed purely in terms of leaving it. But it is far more important to create an alternative center of legitimacy than simply pointing out the putrescence of the United Nations.
Put a can of Campbell Soup up on a platform and sooner or later a million worshippers will prostrate themselves before it. Burn a wooden effigy in the desert and it will get bigger and bigger and attract more and more people. By now it’s probably more meaningful to do that than expect the UN to help anyone.
But first one has to set up an alternative icon. Truly the 21st century is the age of religious wars. …-

I don’t think Clinton should have been impeached over the Lewinsky affair. Having said that, his conduct was reprehensible. Having sex with a vulnerable underling, in one’s office is totally unaccetable, and would have been met by harsh sanctions (dismissal, human rights complaint, lawsuit) in virtually any other situation in the workplace. That’s my beef against Clinton.

“Toronto mayor warns city can’t handle refugee influx
The recent influx of Mexicans into Canada may pose a problem for Toronto’s already overcrowded shelter system. The city, says the mayor, just doesn’t have the capacity to house any more refugee claimants.
“We’ve seen an increase in refugee claimants. [They] almost tripled between July and September but we’re still under 100 a month. [It] is still challenging our capacity to provide shelter,” Mayor David Miller said on Thursday.
Over the past few weeks, more than 300 Mexicans have arrived in Windsor claiming to be refugees. Most have come from the United States where the Immigration and Naturalization Service appears to be in the midst of a crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Many Mexicans in Florida have paid to have refugee applications filled out and have been arriving in Canada seeking refugee status. The Canadian government has issued a warning telling prospective claimants that Canada does not charge a fee for refugee forms — and that having the forms will not entitle claimants to any special treatment.
But the would-be refugees keep coming. Some predict thousands more are on the way…”
