See McGuinty – Updated: See McGuinty Threaten Media

See McGuinty run;

Quattrociocchi, whose plan to build duplexes in Brantford has been put on hold because of a protest by Natives, voiced his concern over the situation but was simply told by the Premier that it was ‘a federal problem’.

Brantford Expositor;

Quattrociocchi said he did his best to avoid problems before work started.
“I don’t understand why this is happening,” he said. “I’ve been playing by the rules and I’m a small developer.
“If my small eight-unit development has created such concern with some members of the Six Nations, then does this mean that all houses along the Grand River as well as the casino are owned by Six Nations?”

Looks like it…

A small Brantford development company will not yield to “extortion” by paying the Six Nations Confederacy Council a fee before it goes ahead with the construction of four semi-detached homes, its owner said yesterday.
Mike Quattrociocchi said that under the terms of a so-called development protocol, the aboriginal group wants him to give it about 4 per cent of the estimated $1.2-million value of project. He said he plans to resume construction next week, even though it is likely to trigger protests.
“They are going for the small guys because they know they can squeeze us,” said Mr. Quattrociocchi, whose project was shut down last week by native protesters.
Earlier this week, the confederacy council, which represents the hereditary chiefs of the Six Nations, announced the creation of the Haudenosaunee Development Institute, an agency that the chiefs say will “oversee” the development of lands in the Haldimand tract, an area six miles on either side of the Grand River.

From the comments – “It gets darker. Looks like Ben Chin tried to have the story hushed up.”

  1. It’s the old Mafia tactics – where you bully your way into extorting money from the local people. The Ontario government, under McGuinty refuses to confront and deal with these native extortionists. Why not?
Considering that the only agenda of the Liberals, in this case, McGuinty, is to ‘be in Power’ – McGuinty must be worried about losing votes from the non-local latte crowd who ‘feel’ for the natives. This latte crowd is far larger than the local Brantford or Caledonia people directly affected by the Mafia Natives.
However, it isn’t a situation just for the federal gov’t. That’s akin to saying that any time a native does X – the federal and only the federal gov’t is involved. But this is a local situation dealing with provincial and municipal affairs – ie housing development. I’d say that both gov’ts are involved. The federal has to settle any land claims – valid or invalid land claims; and the provincial has to reject acts of extortion and violence that are imposed before a land claim is settled in court.

  2. McGuinty caved in to the indians at Caledonia and emboldened them through the one-sided non-action of the police. He and only he is responsible for this mess. Anyone with an IQ greater than 50 could predict that further protests were inevitable. As one who lives within spitting distance of Caledonia and who has friends and colleagues living there trust me, it is ALL the fault of the Liberals and McGuinty. He’s fooling NO ONE with his allegations that it is a federal matter. He has insulted the intelligence of every
    right-thinking Ontarian with this drivel.

  3. Watch that video to the end and you’ll see a cougar attack on a horse in Niagara area of Welland if I caught the city name correctly.

  4. Thanks to the dystopian optics and indemic dysfuntion of the McGuinty lack of leadership, A deed in Onterrible isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
He is also standing still while six nations forms an illegal extortion cartel. much like the Mafia…acting as a 4th level of government shaking down deveopers and councils for a percentage under threat of trespass and occupation.
Then there’s the “green belt” which is in reality a way to subvert land regulation from local council and the civil courts to a single Minister in Toronto with arbitrary regulatory powers which cannot be challenged in court….land owners (farmers) who utilize their land for revenue can loose all they own in an arbitrary zoning decicsion and they have bo avenue to appeal or seek compensation.
The single thread through this entire McGuinty regime is an abominable contempt for private property, property rights of deeded owners and the unobstructed rule of law…McGuinty’s concepts of property are more akin to those of Castro…even Chinese citizens have more land/property rights than an Ontarian.
On the political scale McGuinty is an idle poser who offers no value or civil order for revenues consumed and holds office purely for the sake of the power that comes with itm or any other powers he can rob from municipal councils and the private sector….except when he FXXks up…then “it’s a federal problem”.
McGuinty is pretty much as low a life form as you will find dwelling at the bottom of the political cess pool….if this extortionist gets back in office I suspect either ballot fraud or mass mental disorder in the Onterrible voter.

  5. Until this starts happening to the voters residing in the 905 area code I don’t think this will have one bit of an effect on McSquirty

  6. McSquinty is being disingenous. But are we surprised? While it is true that, constitutionally, native issues are Federal jurisdiction, but issues pertaining to land claims involve the Provinces as well. The reason for this is that the majority of land involved in land claims is under the jurisdiction of the provinces and not the Federal government.
    http://www.ainc-inac.gc.ca/pr/info/trty_e.html
    Who’s Involved in Negotiations?
Comprehensive claims are negotiated by three parties: the federal and provincial or territorial governments and the Aboriginal group. Provincial governments must participate in negotiations because most of the lands and resources involved in the settlement of claims fall under provincial jurisdiction.

Using BC as a point of comparisson to Ontario on this issue. BC has taken the reigns and is making progress in getting land claims settled. Ontario is sticking it’s head in the sand and blaming the Federal government for Ontario’s lack of progress.

  7. This is the Natives demanding protection money. Is this legal? Would this developer be charged for paying protection money to terrorists?

  8. Ben “Double” Chin trying to stop the airing of the clip. Threatening to remove access to McGuinty and complaining to upper management at CHCH.
Sounds like he’s learning from John Duffy on how to steer a campaign.
    Ha ha ha.
As McGuinty (David or Dalton) would say, “that’s rich”.
Oh, Ben – you still haven’t cleared up your muddled and muddied biography…were you born with a silver spoon or under persecution? http://www.asianwildrose.ca/?p=89

  9. Ben Chin biography? Here it is.
    Former CBC Anchor.
    Failed Ontario Liberal by-election candidate (Toronto-Danforth 2006).
    Current Dalton McGuinty advisor.
Spends most of his time using the internet to go negative on John Tory with a fake news show called The News With Ben Chin.
Former Dalton McGuinty advisor after news of him trying to hush a story gets out on the net.

  10. why would anyone think Dulton would protect innocent ordinary citizens from organized criminals ?
He has refused to confront pistol toting young thugs and now shakedown natives are at it and he just smiles . . .

  11. The developers and affected citizens should pool their resources and hire some firm like Blackwater or Sandline to come in and deal with the Natives and possibly their OPP cover…

  12. “He has refused to confront pistol toting young thugs ”
So true, yesterday when confronted on the continuing violence in and around Toronto schools he dismissed, what he called, “The Americanization” of our schools, never let a Liberal election somehow avoid some more anti-american rhetoric, by placing metal protectors or guards in the most problematic schools. He stated that this was the “Canadian way” so I suppose Mr. “Education” supports are youngest and most vulnerable citizens being knifed or shot as being truly patriotic to the Liberal view of what makes us Canadians. Yeah, you’re a bright spark there McDolt….

  13. Chin has constantly threatened CHCH since the Caledonia mess started…they were threatened with licencing being yanked when they broadcast Gary McHale interviews.
The McGuinty regime is a typical deep south “boss” cracker regime…like Tammany hall or the “fixer” cabal Huey long ran.
They have no cash so they “fix” problems with threats and heavy handed bureaucratic regulatory terrorising.
Like I said, the man’s human garbage….not surprising people like Chin and Bryant thrive in his regime.

  14. Reid said: “McSquinty is being disingenous. But are we surprised? While it is true that, constitutionally, native issues are Federal jurisdiction, but issues pertaining to land claims involve the Provinces as well.”
The feds have dealt with the issue already…they have produced a 16 page legal breif that states there is no legal basis to SN claims in Caledonia or any surrended areas.
That seems clear…why the “negotiations” when there is no legal claim?
Secondly Dolton is constitutionally responsible for the integrity, legitimacy and lawful administration of the provincial deeing system of private lands…he has committed actions which have imperiled the system and breeched its integrity…he should not be simply voted out but also charged and tried by those who have lost property, property value and ownership rights due to his diobedience of the courts and the rule of law.

  15. We will see if this story has legs…it should
    Quick check…
    nothing much in MSM
nothing on Bourque or National News aggregate

  16. Why would they not take the law in their own hands? Chimpy Mcliar has allowed the contraband tobacco issue to go from less than 1% to over 30% of all tobacco sold in Ontario. When dolton mcliar became premier, there were 2 “smoke shacks” on the Deseronto reserve. At last count, there are now over 60. It is pretty clear that the law governing the distribution of a controlled substance has been totally ignored, as they know chimpy mcf@#$face does not have the balls to be a leader and deal with it. Billions in lost revenue, our children being poisoned, laws being flaunted, yes, life in mcarsehole’s Ontario!

  17. “Really makes a guy wish Mike Harris was still running the show ……”
Yeah, but then the Teachers unions would be upset then. Goes to show you who really runs this province now…hmmmmmmmm!!!

  18. Would would buy a house with such a pedigree? Who would mortgage it? Paying the “fees” does not solve this developer’s problem. There is no market for a house that has a risk of not being transactable.

  19. In case any of you guys were wondering, the Caledonia area code IS 905. All you Torontonians, wake the hell up. This is your back yard we are talking about.
Buddy of mine was doing some landscaping work in June out that way, caught the Mohawk Extortion Society parked at the end of the driveway. Seems they were trying to decide if it was worth disrupting the tree planting.
From the looks of this developer guy, he’s not going to back up. This is what we need, somebody willing to stare the creeps down. Hopefully the Brantford police department will do their job and keep both the Mohawks and the OPP off the site.
Remember kids, this is not a racism issue, not an Indian vs. White Man issue, not a land claims issue. This is an organized crime shakedown, nothing else. Your Ontario government is aiding and abetting the Mohawk Warrior Scumbag Society in an extortion racket.
Election coming. Vote early, vote often.

  20. …The developers and affected citizens should pool their resources and hire some firm like Blackwater or Sandline to come in and deal with the Natives and possibly their OPP cover……
I beg to differ. The residents should arm themselves and form a militia. It’s much cheaper in the long run than hiring security and is more fun. Also, Blackwater helped Ray Nagin to confiscate people’s guns during Katrina – they cannot be trusted if they are prepared to stomp their own constitution.

  21. Paul said: “We will see if this story has legs…it should”
The GTA papers and media are all McSquinty clients…nothing from these prestitutes…however read the local papers from the cities inside the Grand river claim area…they are slowly waking up to the fact Dolton has screwed theor deeding rights and development system by allowing the illegal over ride (without the weight of a court decision) of SN claim on legally surrendered and purchased deeded land.
The interesting one that I read was the Kitchener and the Cambridge papers. I think the local editors are freaked that Dolton would let SN shake down city council for development fees on a the only block of Haldimand tract land (Waterloo county or Block 2) which there is no doubt that was legally surrendered and paid for through a crown mortgage which was discharged when all monies owed to SN were paid to them by crown agents…This is land that was lafully deeded to the Mennonite land company in 1845.
This is incredible news to see six nations trying to shake down the governments of uncontestably surrendered land….From what I’m reading in these local papers, the editors think McGuinty has his head full of gravel allowing this.
As you say, let’s see if this has legs…particularly in a jurisdiction which id totally lawfully free from any SN claims.

  22. First Nation’s know they are dealing with a gutless Liberal leader and they are using the leverage.
Let’s hope the developer in Brantford sticks to his rights and brings the extortion issue to the front burner as an election issue for all to see.
McGuinty allowing broad daylight extortion in Ontario Canada.
    Some leader!

  23. All you Torontonians, wake the hell up. This is your back yard we are talking about.
Definitely everyone in the Grand River watershed should be extremely concerned. Story in today’s Record about Six Nations demanding money for permits for any building in the area. We’re talking Kitchener, Waterloo, Brantford, Cambridge…

  24. Shaken said: “Would would buy a house with such a pedigree? Who would mortgage it? Paying the “fees” does not solve this developer’s problem. There is no market for a house that has a risk of not being transactable.”
Correct…IF this SN development fee requirement is pursued by the government through the deeding system it means the precedent has been set and ANY property in the so called claim area has a defacto caveat on it… encumbering development and full ownership rights….this is why this is so dangerous and the fact no one in the Onterrible media or political arena is talking in these stark terms concerning private property is freaking me out.
I have NEVER seen such a stage managed cover up by media and government.

  25. I have NEVER seen such a stage managed cover up by media and government.
I think MSM has been intimidated. This is very scary indeed. We could be next.

  26. “Correct…IF this SN development fee requirement is pursued by the government through the deeding system it means the precedent has been set and ANY property in the so called claim area has a defacto caveat on it… encumbering development and fullownership rights….this is why this is so dangerous and the fact no one in the Onterrible media or political arena is talking in these stark terms concerning private property”
Which MSM in Canada would carry such a profound Editorial?
    In my view absolutely none!
Sadly, it’s left up to the internet blogs to fight the good fight.
When will FOX News come to Canada?

  27. Joe said: “When will FOX News come to Canada?”
Don’t rely on Fox News Joe, they’re as bad as CBC in their own way…they spin like all the others.

  28. Kate: A BIG THANK YOU!
This seems to be the ONLY medium that gets the truth out there.
McGuity is such a scum. Two thumbs up to CHCH news and to the developer for confronting McGuity head on. The look on his face was priceless! Same old story put the pressure on the media (or should I say threaten)to buckle under the pressure.
Two tiered law, one for the taxpayers and one for the Indians!

  29. This so called Institute is clearly an attempt to legitimize what I see as a racketeering effort…. fraudulent claims, extortion demands and physical intimidation of citizens … all the actions of criminals. It’s no accident that the work stoppages are forced by “Protesters” They know damned well they have no legal claim and use the tried and true methods of organized crime to intimidate.
Mike Quattrociocchi has the balls of a bull to push this.
And Dalton McSlimey has none whatsoever. Still the sheeple of Ontario have not woken up to the outrageous incompetence and dishonesty of these scumbags! WHY NOT? Because the MSM are letting their Liberals skate.

  30. Dalton’s people are so busy deflecting the Mini-Sponsorship Scandal that iam surprised they found time to make such a Threat to CHCH-TV, Tory should be running with this & On Another Hot Issue lets also not Forget that $2.8 Billion was collected in HEALTH TAXES & was it applied to Health “No” A fraction has been spent of the $2.8Billion.
So Where did it Go?? Into the general coffers for future spending sprees that are not Health Related. I will not raise your taxes, Oh but thats not a tax lets remember Dalton said that.

  31. What are the laws re: hidden mikes? Seems to me politicians out ‘shaking hands’ should expect to be recorded. The fact that McGuinty hasn’t dealt with Caledonia is old news. The big news here is the threat by Ben Chin.

  32. Re hidden Mics….
Wasn’t a private meeting and there were plenty of visible microphones and cameras so whatever McStupid said he should have expected to be recorded.
Every last person there knew there was recording going on!!

  33. If the premier and his government are doing nothing wrong whats the big deal with a hidden microphone?

  34. Below is the original article first, followed by an exchange between a letter writer, and the writer of the article
    A matter of appearances
    Brantford Expositor (On)
    Monday, August 20, 2007
    Page: A9
    Section: Opinion
    Byline: Philp, Tim
In politics, as in life, it is often not what you do that gets you in trouble, but what people think that you do. It is for this reason that the Progressive Conservative campaign to put Coun. Dan McCreary in Liberal MPP Dave Levac’s seat at Queen’s Park is starting to show a few cracks.
At last Monday’s city council meeting, Coun. Richard Carpenter, a well-known Liberal, accused McCreary of using his council position to further his provincial election campaign. While a sitting councillor always has some advantage when running for higher office, such as a place in the public spotlight, Carpenter’s allegations were of a more serious nature.
Carpenter accused McCreary of using his council position to provide a benefit to a person who is working to get McCreary elected to the legislature. At issue was an application by developer and former councillor Mike Quattrociocchi to make some minor zoning changes to a piece of property on Grand River Avenue that Quattrociocchi is developing. The changes were minor in scope and would have been granted to any developer for the asking.
But that was not the point. McCreary voted to approve the zoning change. These kinds of issues are a matter of routine for city councillors, however, on this occasion it just looked bad for McCreary to vote on something that will help Quattrociocchi who is a member of the Conservative party executive.
It got worse when Carpenter overheard Quattrociocchi asking another councillor about sign locations for McCreary’s campaign. This indicated that Quattrociocchi was more than just a bystander in McCreary’s campaign, but an active worker.
In a clumsy attempt to still the controversy, Quattrociocchi denied that he was working on McCreary’s campaign, however, he said that he wanted McCreary to win and that he fully intended to get involved in the campaign. It is difficult to imagine any private citizen who is not involved in the campaign making inquiries about sign locations….

  35. So because he’s a Conservative he’s not allowed to get a minor zoning change that anyone would get. He should just role over when native protesters try to take away his livelihood and extort $48,000 from him. And CHCH should not run a story on it? Is that it Brantford?

  36. You got it fminna. Welcome to liberal leftist Ontario – where corruption is just fine as long as it is liberal leftist corruption.

  37. This is not the worst of it. McGuinty has put a referendum question on the ballot regarding the Ontario electoral structure: do we keep first-passed-the-post, or mixed-member-proportional.
Given that “[c]itizens will be represented by 90 members elected in local ridings (70% of the legislature) and 39 members (called “list members”) elected provincially (30% of the legislature)”, if this passes with the required support, he is required to introduce it.
    Elected members = backbenchers
    Appointed members = party elite
    Hail Caeser!

  38. So it’s even darket than we expect…petty private politics between partisans are being used to endanger the Ontario deeding system.
We gotta stop calling this backward commie toilet “Onterrible” and call it Lower Slobovia…or Vulgaria…slide a buck across the ringht partisn palm and you can commit crimes under bureaucratic protection.
Makes the OPP nothing but a private goon squad for the current raceteers in TO.
Time for real change down there.

  39. Indians want everything white people have but they don’t want to work for it. I was working in an office where native worker stated they have to promote me because “I’m Indian and I’m a woman”.
You can use any excuse you want for not having anything.
