Baa, Baa

Black Sheep?

A key organizer with the NDP’s upcoming Saskatchewan election campaign has resigned, CBC News has learned.
Dale Schmeichel, who was co-chair of the NDP’s election planning committee, resigned on Aug. 15.
The resignation comes as signs of an election are springing up around the province.
Schmeichel is a longtime NDP insider. Four years ago, when the last general provincial election was held, Schmeichel was the party’s provincial secretary, chief executive officer and campaign manager.
He was also a key planner in Saskatchewan during federal election campaigns.
Schmeichel, who is a vice-president with the Crown Investments Corporation, was at his day job Wednesday but didn’t return calls from the CBC.

Sources say that rumours that the falling-out stemmed from a proposed “sheep with a Nazi armband” campaign are unfounded.
Related (in all probability).

  1. Why the hell don’t the dippers and the libbers just form one party,so that all the crap can come from one source instead of two? Funny thing though. Any bets on when this cartoonist(/) will be canned? And isn’t this a hate crime? Oh wait. Guess not. It was against the Jews and a white guy.

  2. Should we be surprised by the dippers behavior seeing they are set to get routed. This just confirms the results of the polls that have been coming out.

  3. Good point. Maybe after the “Nazi” and presumably now aborted wolf fiascoes, somebody at the NDP brains trust decided to show the perpetrator the door before he had his next bright idea. Schmeichel may also have been turfed by somebody else looking to save his own butt. But since there is no greater natural source of groupthink than a committee, and since socialists in particular insist on doing everything by “consensus” (check your local college campus), I wouldn’t expect any great improvement in the quality of NDP campaign tactics any time soon. It’s the same group of people, minus one. They’ll probably replace the wolf with a picture of Brad Wall being led on a dog leash by President Bush and put that out instead.

  4. Why are the NDP afraid of the National Socialists?
I mean, are they not brothers who march together on the left?

  5. Oppppssssss. My bad. Sorry Kate. 3’s look like 7’s without my specs and 6 coffees 🙂

  6. Ah, another link for my blog. It will serve the Democrat bashers here in the U.S.
Couldn’t find that cartoon of the arm banded sheep anywhere. Anybody know where it is?

  7. My brother, a hardcore trade union member, has left the NDP. He even went so far as to join the Sask Party. I know alot of NDP’s that have done the same. The polls show that the NDP will be wiped out in the next provincial election, but I am still holding my breathe.

  8. Hmm…I wonder how long we are going to have to wait for all of those left-wingers to start taking there own folks too task for ‘minimizing’ the holocaust?
My guess is a long time.
I noticed good old leftdog is too busy checking everyones spelling.

  10. CIC management are not “chicks”; more like nomenclatura.
You leftists are more like tyrants, in that you create social problems such as poverty and dependence that justify your ability to tax and lord over everyone.
