As if you hadn’t already figured that out.
From the comments“You heard that in the wee hours of June 14, 2007 Toronto police conducted a major anti-gang raid, arresting and charging upwards of 60 people. But did you know that it’s now being whispered that Jordan Manners’ sister is one of the gun-tottin’ criminals picked up by police?
(It’s been Confirmed)

  1. Anyone know if Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair has popped up yet to say they come from “a broad strata” of Canadian society?

  2. So the sister, Necole Small (who has the same last name as her mother), has a different last name than the brother Jordan Manners.
So from that we can deduce that they were half brother/sister. Same daddy, different mommas.

  3. It would seem that many do not know what causes pregnancy. So they can never be sure of whose who or how they came to be here.
The certainly have no clue what to do once they are here.

  4. I don’t know what you people are worrying about.
When the Muslims take over these guys will be too busy praying five times a day to cause any trouble.
Of course they will have to learn that “YO YO YO here’s a shout out to my main nigga Allah” is not an acceptable prayer.

  5. We’ve got plenty of Jamaicans here in Calgary who haven’t adopted this faux American gangster hip-hop crap. A few have, but it hasn’t become a big problem yet. Most are hard-working, industrious people who fit in well.
These Toronto youths have bought into the whole hip-hop lifestyle bigtime – right down to imitating the accent. It’s laughable watching them talk about the “hood” as they walk through neat, orderly streets and past well-maintained buildings.
It’s amazing the influence that popular culture can have on young people. It’s tragic when that culture is based on glorifying violence, murder, crime and squalor. Probably the best way to fight it is to make them realize how ridiculous and stupid they look.

  6. Can’t help but think of that ole’ saying;
Race does not cause racism. Culture does.
    A ‘thousand-rounds-a-minute’ culture.
As commented before, it is as if the ‘do-gooders’ and the ‘social planners’ and the ‘revolving door justice system’ types, actually believe that taking away the thugs guns would deprive them of their ‘charter right’ to “make a living”.
Could it all be that sick ??
Is that why Alan Rock and Chretien went after the farmer shooting a skunk instead of the rotten apples ??

  7. I wonder why so few of these fine young men make it through the job interview process? Must be discrimination.

  8. Thank You for setting that straight Reid, I apologize.
Between the Blacks, the Mexicans and the Muslims blaming everything on whitey, yet being the first one in line for a Gov’t Handout I get a lil touchy when defending my Country.

  9. Ratt said it well. This is a problem of our own creation. When Jane Kreba was shot, the Chief of Police that had huge & successful experience in LA and Chicago was called for help, he said in an interview, “Your problem is blacks, Jamaicans I think.” and was interrupted with “Oh we don’t talk that way.” His response was “You’d better start. Identify the problem and give them no rest.”
Obviously he was a Bush Poodle or what ever the left was using to bash the US at the time.
Broke my heart to hear a good man get put down by people that were not even up to shining his shoes.
The nut cases are in charge of the asylum.

  10. 2 nights ago, Michael Coren was on CFRB debating why so many people (especially in the black community) were arguing that the police raids (which netted only blacks to my knowledge) were racist. Except for one or 2 blacks who called, every black person on the phone was adamant that the ONLY reason the police raided the area was that cops were racist.
None of them acknowledged that dozens of illegal weapons, drugs and millions in cash were seized…that didn’t matter.
This was the saddest case of denial I have heard and I think there lies the root of the problem. As long as blacks have this persecution complex and as long as they refuse to acknowledge the fact that their culture (rap, no fathers, 70% unmarried mothers, welfare entitlement) is a resounding failure, nothing will change.
Don’t know if anyone also caught this but the result of the provincial tests (EQAO) in elementary schools last week revealed that the school with the lowest achievement was Yorkdale P.S., in the middle of an area refered to as “the jungle”. Anyone wants to take a wild guess as to the demographics of this school? Wonder how many members in this school’s chess club!

  11. Yanni, although I suspect that you are exaggerating to make a point, I think your comments at 11:47 am are way over the line. Those comments smack heavily of what could truly be called racism.
Although I suspect that there very well may be a genetic link to personality traits or “attitude”, I suspect that it is FAR more influenced by nurture or culture (or, likely more accurately, to a lack thereof).
I encourage you to clarify or tone down your comments. Please.

  12. I find it totally amazing, but hardly surprising that the media is so quick to support a ban on firearms, but too affraid to mention that the real issue is immigration of peoples that are just wrong for this country. I say welcome all those people that come from any place, as long as they understand that getting a job, learning to speak english/french and a perpetualy clean criminal record is required to stay here. Even after they gain citizenship, that ‘citizenship’ must be conditional. Honour killings, gangs, or religious extreamism will not, and cannot be tolerated.
Importation of ethnic issues from their countries of origin will be illegal. Peaceful cultural customs are welcome but violent, political, or religious-based trouble will mean a swift ride to the nearest airport in handcuffs and a one-way ticket back to their country of last residence, refugee or political prisoner status be damned! Our house, our rules…..follow them or get out.

  13. Yep. Trowna’s cream of the crop and future city leaders. You got it first on YouTube. 🙁

  14. One of my neighbours , who sadly passed away about fifteen years ago now, still kept his Webley .455 cal. service pistol from the great war..it had been issued originally during the Boer war, and was quite the hand cannon.
He told me once that he was still a good shot, and if one of those large bullets hit you, it was going to come out the otherside the size of your fist.
He told me that anyone trying to harm him or his family was “going to die of a severe case of lead poisoning..”
..of course, it would be but a brief exposure, well within govt standards, as it passed right on through you..
I’m sure the b*tches in that video would hate to take on armed citizenry..when you have to think twice about the crime, that’s a good thing..hear that comrade Miller?

  15. Eeyore,
I hear you. It’s not racism it’s extreme anger, frustration and disappointment.
Some of my best friends are blah blah.

  16. When you don’t have a responsible male role model, you create a lot of feckless macho marginal males that are poorly socialized.
The video speaks for itself. I doubt there is one father involved with any of those Clockwork Orange cretins.
Jews and Asians aren’t found in ghettos because they have intact families. Almost 70% of black births are out of wedlock in the US. What’s the chance of a young black male having a consistent nuturing relationship with a responsible male role model? Consistency counts.
Blacks have no one to blame but themselves for the rot that infests so many of their communities. After 40 years of incredible federal funding – the War on Poverty billions, welfare handouts, grants, affirmative action, with every giveaway skewed to blacks, if you are black and still at the bottom, it’s your damn fault.

  17. Stop immigration from THOSE places, there are enough of them here to breed a city full right now.
Dammit, it’s such a tragedy the ones who get shot are such “great citizens” and had “great futures”, the shooters are poor misguided youth, no pappy, yadda, yadda, (sarc. off).
Nuts to the lot of them and Davey Miller too.

  18. Reid, close. Same momma, different daddies. Has anyone heard from Jordan Manners’ father yet?
Regardless, it’s not Toronto’s fault this is happening. Generations of piss-poor immigration laws in concert with piss-poor crime laws are to blame for this.
It’s nothing scrapping the Youth Justice Act, throwing parents in jail when kids do something stupid, not throwing every immigrant who comes to Canada in Toronto, and the immigrants who do come here making sure they speak English can’t fix.
A lot you say? Well, Toronto is becoming Detroit.

  19. Well, not that the PC gloves are off I can see that others are seeing and hearing the same things that I am: a bunch of tough guys trying to prove they are something they ain’t.
I too wonder why the continent of Africa with all their natural resources is still basically in the stone age. ET probably has some tribal theory which could explain a lot.
As far as these Caqnadian n*gg*rs, the majority of the punks in the video were probably born here but it seems that they identified more with the afro-American gangsta image than being Canadian. After listening to the video I challenge anyone to tell me that what passes for rap music or hiphop stuff does not have an influence on youth.
There are ‘hoods in Houston I wouldn’t drive through at night but then again we are talking about a population of 5 million. And yes, most of the trouble is gang related which probably speaks volumes about the tribal/culture identification thing. Crime jumped when evacuees from NOLA came to town. Not enough turf to go around.
The big thing we have to do is not get caught up in the root causes thing and forget about enforcing the laws that society has established. Okay, I’m sorry about you not having a dad growing up but if you do the crime, you do the time, period.

  20. Speaking of hand-waving and cliche-spouting politicians: here’s an idea that might get through the “diversity” slot that would also prove to be very educational, to the voters:
You know the televised candidate-debate format, with three or four journalists facing the candidates? Just adapt that same format by putting one of those fine fellows in the video, or his likesake, per candiate – right where the journalists normally get put.
And then, we will sit back and watch the performance…

  21. Yeah, those kids had all the weapons a white middle aged guy could get 14 years in jail just for owning.
The police now have the evidence, so what is the problem? Overcrowded prisons and courts are alleged to be the problem, so build a few more jails, appoint a few more judges, and make sure thugs get the maximum under law. Then we’ll have a justice system where the door revolves a lot more slowly.

  22. documentary was strangely lacking in humor
they should have asked to see their gun licenses and registration cards
one of the guns looked like a MAC 10 sub machine gun
but he probably had a “special permit”

  23. use a gun- lose a thumb- can’t shoot a gun without a thumb- these goofs are the same as our West Coast Niggers- Indo-Sikhs- here in Vancouver

  24. What these niggers don’t seem to understand is that all these niggers being killed are being killed by niggers, like you no what I mean man.

  25. “GANG CONTROL NOT GUN CONTROL SQUAWK SQUAWK
Posted by: spurwing plover at June 15, 2007 10:18 AM ”
THAT has to be the most sensible statement I have heard in a looooooong time. Unfortunately, our Charter doesn’t allow it. You know. That nasty “equality” and “racism” thingie.

  26. Just a comment on the above discussion. I attended the Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue Conference in Washington last month. Something that was noticeable in the 600 or so attendees was the lack of color (ie. one Afro-American, no Asians, perhaps a few Native Americans). Attendees came from all over the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, and Alberta and surprisingly they were predominately ‘white’! Anybody want to comment on why ‘whitey’ gets blamed for everything that happens to “recent immigrants” in this country and America, when it has been “whitey” that has created this society, that everybody wants a piece of, and it is “whitey” that volunteers both here and abroad to protect all members of this society.

  27. Any chances of seeing the legal aid bill for this? (In a pig’s ear! Getting these maggots back out on the street, is going to put a few lawyers’ spawn through university.)
Any chances of seeing the legal aid bills that these vermin have already run up through previous convictions? (Sorry- that’s lawyer/client confidentiality.)
Factor in- overtime for the cops to watch these people, ( from the nearest donut shop)
Plus- of course- the yearly increase in the police budget…………….
    Hey- it’s a win/win situation!

  28. Sadly, this is all these kids have learned – from their parents and their environment. I am not a bleeding heart Liberal (far from it), but I see multiculturalism as a big part of the problem; when we are all encouraged to huddle in our own solitudes and celebrate our “diversity”. It comes at a price.

  29. What a disgusting cesspool of so-called humanity.
There is no excuse for those dregs under ANY circumstances allowed in this Country.
Haul their sorry asses off to jail and from there we need a reform type institution to humanize the Bastards, it would be well worth the expense.
This is diversity from the bottom of the heap.
Multiculturalism, diversity are killers with immigration from rat holes like Jamaica as well as
Immigration from countries which spawn Islamic terrorism is a recipe for disaster.

  30. What does this have to do with immigration? These guys were probably born here. Black people have lived in Canada since the 18th century.

  31. Immigration from the same sources is still going on.
It’s about behavior and lifestyle, it’s only about Blacks because that’s what they are, Blacks. If they were White, we’d be calling them Whites.
It’s not about Black people in general, Belisarius and you have to know that.
Political correctness just doesn’t allow truth.

  32. What we are seeing here on a small scale is “reprimitivization”. Someone wrote a column about this in the paper a while ago. Basically he said that most of Africa is descending back into a caveman culture. When the colonial powers left Africa, most of the continent, especially the ones that were British colonies were functioning countries, with th institutions of a state and at least an educated middle class. Now fifty years later none of this exists any more. No legitinate goverment, no education, none of the institutions of a modern state. They are also at the point, with very young populations, and a very short life expectancy that they are several generations away from the memory of a functioning state.
What do you think the odds are that the kids in this video will have normal functioning families and raise productive children. I think we are seeing the same reprimitivization process here. Socialism caused it, more socialism is not going to fix it. Why do all these women have children without husbands to support them? Because we support them. If there was no welfare and public housing these women would not allow this to happen.

  33. This was actually painful to watch. It’s almost like watching someone commit suicide — you don’t want to see it, but morbid curiosity makes you watch.
There are six more installments just like this. It seems to have been a documentary of sorts. You can find them in the YouTube user’s profile here:
    http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=carlkma
Commenters on the segments can’t tell if this is real of if it’s over-the-top parody.
If it’s real, it truly saddens me that people do this to themselves.
I’m also disappointed in some of the comments here at SDA. I understand that some of you are disgusted and angry after seeing this, but that’s no excuse for some of the comments made in this thread. There is absolutely no reason for anyone here to be using “nigger” to refer to the people in this video, regardless of their behavior or how they refer to themselves.

  34. mbaron, interesting comments. So true. A good number of blacks hate whitey and whitey’s governance, but given the chance they can’t govern themselves properly. Look at what Mugabe did to his own country. But it’s not just blacks. Chavez is headed the same way with Venezuela because of his burning hatred of the USA combined with his insane socialist policies. Some people are not fit to govern and should never be given the chance.

  35. “Black people have lived in Canada since the 18th century.”

That’s true. There never were very many until the last 30 years, and they never fell as low as the second and third generations of Toronto Jamaican-Canadians has. When you’re in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging. In this case, that means not letting more Jamaicans in.

  36. Someone said, “No fathers (not that that necessarily matters)”.
Holy smokes! Nothing could be further from the truth. Every child needs a mother and father. To lose the influence of either is to lose part of not only ourselves, but of all of the nurturing, experience, wisdom, maturity, guidance, discipline and love unique to each gender.
Which is why I’m also against adoption by gays. Yes, it’s better to have two men or women raising you, than to be in care of the state. But you simply cannot replace what each gender brings to the table.
And the horrible results of absentee fathers is in full flower in the Jane-Finch area, apparently.

  38. OK, so now you know that Jordan Manners’ sister was picked up in the raid. But did you know that it’s now being alleged that a member of the Driftwood Crips avoided initial arrest because he was tipped off by a family member on the Toronto police force?

  39. Blacks themselves hate the Jamaicans as they are dangerous thugs, always causing problems, yet when I wrote a letter to Lorrie Goldstein in the Toronto Sun stating, as many of you have suggested, that Canada should ban immigration from Jamaica he called me a racist.
Belisarius, I grew up in downtown Toronto and Scarborough and finished high school in the early 60s and never saw a single black person until grade 12 at Winston Churchill High School. This was the largest school in the area (1,500 students) and had 1 black student. Today when I drive by I don’t recognise it. Once you have a large enough population to allow the criminals and inhabitants to resume their former culture it will reassert itself. Give it time in Calgary and you will have the same problems.

  40. I try and avoid Toronto so I have no idea what the situation is there. The guys in the video appear to be wannabe American hip-hop gangstas, complete with the BS accents. I can’t tell if they’re the children of Jamaican immigrants or not.
So how bad is the problem?

  41. Kathy Shaidle: Why don’t Japanese people live in Public Housing? Or Jews?
Surely there must be a few….
“Toronto Community Housing is the largest social housing provider in Canada and the SECOND largest in NORTH AMERICA. It is home to about 164,000 low and moderate-income tenants in 58,000 households, including seniors, families, singles, refugees, recent immigrants to Canada and people with special needs…
…Our portfolio includes more than 360 high-rise and low-rise apartment buildings, as well as about 800 houses and duplexes throughout the city.”

I think some people would be willing to kill just to be able to live in the Beaches or at 679 Queen’s Quay W.

  42. Texas Canuck wondered why Africa is still basically in the Stone Age, despite all their resources.
Here’s my take on it: It is because of all their resources. For centuries, it has been easy for Africans to live in a primitive, tribal lifestyle. Food was plentiful; without any industry, the water was clean. Their lack of medical knowledge meant that so many died, populations were stable.
Northern Europeans, on the other hand, had to learn to survive winter. That meant storing food and fuel for a community. They had to build shelters, organize farms, and bring in harvests. And, during those winters, when farming activity ceased, there was time to tinker and invent. So, little by little, architecture became more complex, houses were built of stone instead of mud, castles formed the centre of budding towns, and a civic society was formed.
As transportation improved (let’s not forget the Romans were building roads all over Europe, as well as their astounding acqueducts, as early as 500 BC), different cultures learned the advantages of trade. Rules were formed for trade, duties, safe conduct, etc. Codified laws covering many areas of society became more complex.
All of these things contributed to a society where people realized that co-operation led to greater prosperity for all, compared to a “might makes right” society. Granted, this took centuries to occur, but especially after the English revolution of 1688, things took off exponentially. So, for three centuries, European technology led to an acceleration of civic society, whereas African society had remained virtually the same.
During the colonization of Africa by the European nations, the rudiments of a civic society were built up, but as we have seen in the post-colonial era, it has only taken half a century for most of that work to be undone. In my view, if the Europeans had held on until now, the new information technologies might well have been the key to instituting true civic society in Africa.
Instead, the reversion to their tribal society has given us the massacres in Rwanda and Darfour, the turmoil in Ethiopia and Somalia, and the complete waste of Zimbabwe. Even in South Africa, arguably the most civilized of the African nations, most whites live lives behind high walls, protected by bodyguards. I don’t see this trend reversing.
Well, that’s how I see it. I believe someone once said “Geography is destiny”. I think that’s true.
