  1. Gassy Jack, Bendover Svend and all the gang over there at the NDP should be fired out of a cannon.
    Okay…okay. That would be cruel.
    How about a firing squad?

  2. Howza about we just ship them over to be with their heros? Oh wait. All their heros are coming here. Oh well,it was just a thought.

  3. Well, Jack is living up to his new name,Taliban Jack. No doubt, in the true Lefty Doctrine terrorists have rights and he’ll defend them and protect them to fight another day.
Does he also feel they have their rights to plot and blow up innocent people around the world in the name of Islam as well? Let’s hope not but it’s something to ponder.
The Left can wreck havoc on a society as destructive as a plague.
They demand social programs and freebies galore but want to make life miserable for big business and corporations. Who the hell do they think pays for all the dole they demand?

I once asked a dipper this question Liz. Apparently, big biz etc. LOVES to be taxed to death, just so they give away everything to support the new Utopia. Ummmmmm….so why are they leaving Manitoba in droves?
Mind you,if everybody is bankrupt and there is no evil money, then we will all be equal, which is what socialism strives for. Well not “equal”. They will be just a tad bit more so.

    . . cruel indeed . . . . for the bullets.

  6. Well I now have my answer next time Western calls me for an Alumni donation…..

  7. cozying up to fantics and monsters does not seem to be the sole province of the utopian left…the progressive right and the media has their share of monster lovers as well.
For instance, Gorby’s Soviet Union actually did scatter toys rigged as grenades around the landscape of Afghanistan in an attempt to reduce the number of future rebels….A KGB inspired solution/policy we are told. They targeted children for death, injury, and maiming, with the end game being nothing more noble than a desire to simply steal the country of Afghanistan before the west got it .
Bizarrely, many in the Canadian media and the public both left and right, remain enamored of Mr. Gorbachev. Our PM Brian Mulroney fawned over him for photo ops, we supported his Nobel Prise nomination. Would they feel the same about say Bill Gates, if Microsoft had done something similar?
People think Microsoft is evil now… what would they think if it started putting anti-personnel mines inside boxes of WordPerfect, Photoshop or palm OS marked “free edition” then dumping truckloads off at University and high school camuses? Or if they were herding Linux users into camps at gunpoint and systematically raping them or beating them to the point of permanent disability?
This easy affection for monsters who happen to be high-level white collar terrorists continues; Pooty-Poot, as George W. Bush has famously nicknamed the current President of Russia, was a KGB foreign intelligence officer for 17 years.
The KGB was infamous for torture, murder, and other such crimes as well as the infamous Afghan toy-mining policy. This group was to Soviet Russia what the SS and the Gestapo were to Nazi Germany. And Pooty’s brave new Russia remains a brutal police state regardless of all the spin in the “progressive” western media.
Still…the “Pooty-poot” endearment seems morbidly out of place.
    How sweet!
    How warm and cuddly.
    How unwholesome.

  8. The great Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan were demolished by the Taliban regime in 2001, who decreed that they would destroy images deemed “offensive to Islam.” The Taliban Information Minister complained that “The destruction work is not as easy as people would think. You can’t knock down the statues by dynamite or shelling as both of them have been carved in a cliff. They are firmly attached to the mountain.” The statues, 53 meters and 36 meters tall, the tallest standing Buddha statues in the world, turned out to be so hard to destroy that the Taliban needed help from Pakistani and Saudi engineers to finish the job. Finally, after almost a month of non-stop bombardment with dynamite and artillery, they succeeded.
    Repulsive, isn’t it.
It will be the Louvre and the Sistine Chapel some day too if the stupid lefty apologists for evil have their way.
Why Western Art is Unique, and Why Muslim Immigration Threatens It……www.brusselsjournal.com/node/2128….another great piece at Brussels journal from Fjordman.

  9. Regarding the sundy whackos kept on speed dial for comment:
These must be the sources for the often published/broadcast nebulous; “experts say” or “studies show” or “critics have said” or “experts claim” or “it has been said before”.
The nebulous sources that sanctify journalistic innuendo have been revealed…a rolodex/speed-dial bank of outspoken whackos and social misfits…we always suspected 😉

  10. Hmmm…Pakistani and Saudi engineers needed to do the Buddhist historic statue desecration-destruction. Wouldn’t that mean it was an international Islamic effort, a Taliban/Pakistani/Saudi desecration-destruction?
We didn’t hear THAT interesting fact in the MSM!
Anyone familiar with the history of how we got the word “vandals” in our language as the descriptive noun for barbaric destroyers? Maybe at some future point (assuming the survival of Western Civ) that’ll be replaced in the English lexicon with “islamics”.
Deja vu all over again, as Yogi Berra said.

  11. So will Jack’s compromise with the Taliban involve crushing to death under collapsed brick walls half of all the gays in Afghanistan, or just half crushing to death all of the gays in Afghanistan?
And I can hardly wait to discover the compromise on education for girls and women.

  12. Couldn’t describe the Left better than “apologists for evil”, that’s exactly what they are, Penny.
Going to bat for the rights of evil doers is aiding and abetting them to carry on another day.
    Our MSM is no better.

  13. Jack Layton knows how to bring peace to Afghanistan through negotiation, what is he waiting for?!!! When is he going over there to deliver peace?!!!
Is he that nasty a person that he prefers the war to go on just so he can have talking points?
Jack keeps saying that there is some way to bring peace to Afghanistan immediately, obviously he must know what it is, the entire country should urge him to overlook his partisan political talking points and do the right thing for once.

  14. Jack Layton is like the King of BS, Bill Clinton, another vacuous talking head.
Was Bubba so cravenly shallow a person that a well measured firm response to terrorists was asking too much of him? The ’93 WTC bombing had them on his radar. He knew the names and networks. The moron was offered Bin Laden by the Sudanese gov’t, he was too busy on the golf course when the call came in with important money contributing cronies. Sandy Berger’s behavior was an extention of this. God knows what was in the files that were in the little fool’s socks. Another Bubba disciple gone astray.
Liberals are the last refuge for the cognitively muddled, the disingenuous and the sad little creatures whose issues with mom have driven their whole lives. Hey, I know I sound severe. I don’t care. It feels good saying it.

  15. ********It will be the Louvre and the Sistine Chapel some day too if the stupid lefty apologists for evil have their way.*******
I had never considered that there may be GOOD come of the deeds of these fools!!!!!!!

  16. Taliban Jack Layton is one very fortunate, albeit vacuous leftist Canadian politician.
The fact that Canadian MSM is basically infested with left wing editorialist, reporters and journalists Layton and other lefties like Stephane Dion will always have their platforms promoted.
Sadly there is not a national conservative media to counterbalance the perpetual leftist spin that passes as news dissemination and subsequently shapes
    our public opinion.
Waiting for Taliban Jack to be taken to task by any Canadian MSM for his cozying up to the terrorists is not a situation where holding ones breath (waiting) is advisable.
    It won’t happen!!

And 2 months later Dubya gave the Taliban $43 million. Repulsive, ain’t it.

Obviously not as repulsive to right wingers as asking that due legal process be followed.

  19. Here in america we have the ACLU doing the same thing when it comes to the cross

  20. So, let me get this straight. Jack Layton is a co-signatory on a letter that wants an investigation into the detention of a Canadian citizen by US authorities. The man is the director of clinics at the School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario.
But the man in question has strong opinions, with which conservatives disagree. This, is it implied, we shouldn’t raise a finger in his defence. Freedom and die process, it seems, are only for people who espouse conservative values. Pointing to a media double standard regarding the destruction of venerable Buddhist monuments in Afghanistan versus the destruction of venerable Muslim and Christian monuments in India and Kosovo, is proof positive that the guy’s a terrorist or something.
This all makes Jack Layton “an apologist for Islamofascism.” Have you all gone stark, staring mad?

  22. Layton’s “compassion” only extends as far as his political/personal fortunes.
The Partisan left should not read much more into this theater than that…Layton knows he can put on the most outrageous theatircs because he has absolutely no chance of ever having to follow through on these convictions….and it pulls in the sap vote…right Dawg?

  23. Guess you made my point, Cat. People with some points of view are worthy of due process and so forth. People you disagree with are not. Let’s hear it for the rule of law. Or is that “rules?”

  24. It’s an issue of Canadian sovereignty over Canadian citizens.
If you believe in that kind of stuff.
Yes this guy may be a sleaze ball but he’s our sleaze ball and our responsibility to deal with him.
Jack is right on this one.

  25. That isn’t what I said Dawg. Quite simply I will not lend this man my undying, unquailified support, prncipally because nothing happened to him other than a few rude remarks evidently. The US has a right to screen any and all entrants to their country. This is not a violation of El-Kassem’s rights in any way shape or form. They can if they so choose deny anyone entry, just as Canada did with the thief Winnie Mandela, and the racist Shabazz.

  26. That isn’t what I said Dawg. Quite simply I will not lend this man my undying, unquailified support, principally because nothing happened to him other than a few rude remarks evidently. He does not have the right to enter the US at will. The US has a right to screen any and all entrants to their country. This is not a violation of El-Kassem’s rights in any way shape or form. They can if they so choose deny anyone entry, just as Canada did with the thief Winnie Mandela, and the racist Shabazz.

  27. How do the usual leftard appologists know that this terrorist supporter and cheerleader for a known anti-semite didn’t get due process?
I didn’t see where it stated how long he was held for and where.
If he was questioned at the boarder, so what? Given his past associations, the US customs people would be remise in their duties if they didn’t detain him for questioning.
I’ve been questioned at the boarder and I’m not a terrorist supporter, criminal nor an apologist for anti-semites. I didn’t get the leftard NDP and their retarded friends in the media going apeshit about it nor did these leftards demand investigations.
Suck it up sally. If you’re gonna support bigots and terrorists, there will be reprocussions – as there should be.

  28. This one seems pretty clear-cut to me. The US authorities have every right to detain and question any foreign national entering their country, no questions asked. If you don’t like it, stay home.

  29. further to the taliban destroying the buddha statues. they made the people plant the explosives that destroyed the greatest statue on earth
the taliban destroy any image that resembles or even remotely resembles life or the living.
it ain’t the destination, as we all very well know it’s the journey that makes life

  30. Apparently, nothing says peace like a cowed population. Read Worthington’s article today:
    http://www.torontosun.com/Comment/2007/06/12/4253820-sun.html
Freedom isn’t one of the critereon used, so Cuba and Yemen and actually quite peaceful. Those dirty rotten Americans, with their gun culture, free elections and prosperity aren’t really “peaceful” at all. Who’d a thunk it!!

  31. “So, let me get this straight. Jack Layton is a co-signatory on a letter that wants an investigation into the detention of a Canadian citizen by US authorities. The man is the director of clinics at the School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario.” – dawg
“Canadian citizen” as a convenient and secondary identity to citizen of and allegence to the Ummah. A dangerous distinction you seem not to understand. Along with your pal Jack.
