I don’t see anything wrong with the Junos being on April 1st. I would call that truth in advertising. Hosted by one-hit Nelly. The only CTV promo that didn’t make me cringe was Sarah Harmer. She finished a distant second to Nelly about five or six years back…
April Fools day and Dion is speaking to farmers. On Friday the 13th Holland is speaking someplace.
Doesn’t dion know that it is spring seeding time, and farmers are working at 2.00 p.m.
Hope someone goes and gets video of attendance. Of course, dion is likely to appear at an exit of the Junos and say, what a crowd I had.
The Battleford room eh? That’s a tad spacious for Dion, attendee’s, press, and the one or two members of the public that care.
People ticked off about equalization in Saskatchewan (and they are few) aren’t gonna jump to the Liberal party.

Btw………I find it ironic how Ralph Malph Goodale is on the radio with commercials on how the Tories lies about a promise.
Either this guy suffers from memory loss, has no conscience, or is just plain hypocritical (I’d say the latter two), but he seems to forget the “CANCEL THE GST” promise the Liberals made to the entire country.
One thing about Ralph……whe he finally gets turfed from office, he could find employment in the weather services………after all…….the guy would make a great weather vane…….

Guys are getting ready for the field around our part of the country, you know, cleaning grain, fixing machinery, going into debt as no grain has been moved for months due to no rail cars. Regardless, who would waste a nice sunday afternoon to listen to a speech in a foreign language.
i would like to go just to see if Dion is really as stupid as he comes off to be…….i suspect he is…..I think I will bring my backpack just so he feels welcomed…but man he is almost impossible to understand and MY first language is French…poor bugger I don’t think he knows how bad he really is….

Mary T, I’m sure you would like someone to explain the reason for miles of empty grain cars sitting on abandoned CN tracks east of Thunder Bay for the last two years.
Beaker’s probably just a little confused or behind the times. He’s thinking of last year when Pammy Anderson was the “hostess” and he’s looking forward with great anticipation to meeting another great environmental saviour.

Plus: you kinda gotta love that both are scheduled for Palm Sunday. That may raise some attendance issues, and for M Dion in particular some potentially unnerving historical precedents…
Dion is an atheist so has no idea what Palm Sunday is to the Christians of the world. Not a good way to encourage Catholics to vote for him.
I think Borat dion would be more comfortable with the socks and sandals crowd than the boots and cowshiet . since the Junos are on CT V. his visit to the farmers will give CBCpravda something to cover on sunday.

Is it just me, or is anybody else fed UP with the pathological fixation our Canadian media has on the calling of a federal election? Can journalists go even ONE day without frothing at the mouth on that topic?

Whenever the election is called, let’s hope the media are as unprepared as they were for the Quebec one. On Neman again today, the panel was projecting that the Clean Air Act will be the trigger. How many would turn their vote around if Harper called it a confidence motion. Dion is prepared, so he says, but is missing candidates in many ridings. Heard him say the conservatives were lying re wanting an election, but having all candidates attend a Boot Camp, and sending spies to video him, sent a different message. Maybe PMSH is goading them into spending money they don’t have, so they will really be broke when the election is called. All the panelists flogged Danny Williams re his ads. Would NFLDers reallly vote for the opposition, if a majority Harper govt was in the making. What would they get then. There is a major contract coming up for renewal in a few days, and some suggested if DW keeps it up, it will be given to BC.
