  1. Someone should infect a few of those elders so that they could be the martyrs.
I had polio before the vaccine was developed here in Canada. I have one leg that is shorter than the other – I was lucky, some of the other people that caught it ended up in iron lungs. It is like any other physical limitation, a curse. Not Gods fault, not the victims fault but it is those old fanatics fault if they don’t allow their people to be vaccinated.
The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me!

  2. So what other products of technology aren’t allowed under Sharia? Are bombs, cars and airplanes blasphemous as well? Maybe Allah wants his jihad carried out using catapults and big rocks. Rest in peace, religion of peace.

  3. pakistan.
alnd of the budding soccer stars.
    polio epidemic notwithstanding.
I missed polio by a couple days when I was born; my ma got the mild form in the delivery hospital before she even left !!
it was the non paralysing strain but for a newborn it would have been fatal.
I attribute the near miss to the Intervention of God the Creator of life whose predominant activity is PROTECTING His followers and believers, not the other way around.
that’s ‘Allah’s’ job apparently. must be God’s evil twin or sumptin, I cant figure it.

  4. If that directive is coming from a religious adviser he has gone off the shallow end into cultism which is ever near the surface in that particular “religion”.
Those living the “religion of peace” appear to be a confused mass of humanity on a dangerous path of
    destruction.
With directives like this, they are working towards their own demise.
There is something extremely disturbing to see the
persecution of women continue, even in our midst.
The wearing of total cover blue burkas by
women in Afghanistan is still the norm.

  5. You can find nuts in all religons that preach against the evils of technology, science etc.
In present day radical islamism it is particularly powerful though because they back it up with violence, something most of the other religons in the world left behind a a long time ago.

  6. It’s unfortunate for the kids, but perhaps fortunate for us.
    Less jihadists to indoctrinate.
