Where are these trees being planted? By whom? How long will it take for these miraculous fast-growing trees to counteract your wastefulness? Hurry!”
(Personally, I want to be on the same side as the guy who wrote this (warning: extremely rude & offensive in every possible way, shape and form), right or wrong, rather than that of boring old Suzuki.)

    So its kinda like the guy in the Italian mafia who goes to his catholic church every sunday, puts a hundred bucks in the plate as its being passed around, goes off after into the little box ta have a chat wit da oliness and buda bing buda boom, all of last weeks wackings have been wipe clean off the slate, foregiven cause he paid his dues to da choych.
    You can drive your SUV all you want, just don’t forget to pay when the Goreackle passes da plate.
    Save the planet….boycott hollywood.

    the best way to store carbon is plant fast growing forests , cut them down , put them all in underground caves and seal with cement . All forests have a recycle into the carbon cycle of less than 50 years and in the case of deciduous forests , a partial recycle ever 6 months. WTF are the looney left lackeys thinking?

    THERE are more trees in North America than 30 years ago (some of this may be gradual recovery from large burns that Plains Indians did to increase buffalo habitat).
    THERE are more trees in Africa than 100 years ago. This may be caused by a rebound from deforestation. Africa had a larger population, then gradually a smaller population, as the slave trade increased. Abandoned farms went back to forest.

I’m going to market a bulletproof, CO2-offseting, oxygen producing, fast growing renewable specimen. Anybody want to buy a Dandelion? (not cheap) S&H extra. Valid only where carbon credits are sold.

    Seal hunt banned. Seal population explodes.
    Climate change becomes front page news. Seals expelling CO2 with every breath they take. Oceans warming. Cod stocks disappear.
    Solution?
    Club a seal.
    Save the planet.

  29. Looks pretty grim when China and India have thousands of coal fired generator plants and are speeding up the construction of more.
    Clean Coal technology would be the best export Canada could promote, but I*m not going to hold my breath.
    Unless there is a direct connection to winning federal elections, there seems to be little hope for Clean Coal Tech. = TG

  30. Calgary just passed there anti smoking bylaw. Now if the aldermen we pay to run our city were on the ball they could have saved all the fighting between exempt establishments and those that must comply. I suggest that the bar owners who feel they are going to lose a significant amount of business due to the smoking ban strike up a deal with the churches around town to buy clean air credits. Just like magic the anti smoking problem is solved. You gotta hand it to uncle Mo hes got this unclean air scam covered four ways from Tuesday.

    Keep up the pressure on rev canada to revoke DS charity licence. Also, let your MP know of your complaints and if any action is taken. If you don’t have a redial button, forget it unless you want a very sore finger. I do think the carbon credit scam is being exposed for what it is. Thanks to DS and algore. Wonder if they realized they would be under such scrutiny by the general public.

  36. The comment in para 2 by KShaidle reminds me of an early-60’s scandal–Billie Sol Estes and his tanks of oil (there were lots of tanks; there weren’t much oil).
    He Promised there was oil in them thar tanks. Somebody’s Promising they’re gonna plant them trees and offset them carbons. I bet they’ll have pictures of them trees, too.
