Rhymes with “statesmanship”;
“They walk into coffee shops … drag their knuckles a little bit and say they’re going to lower taxes,”
Then, like Rosie O’Donnell sweating through a Hepburn gown, he tries Churchill on for size.

socialism . . . just another embarrassing mistake on the path of political development
O yes, was’nt that the National Socialist Party in Germany?People seem to forget that little fact.A car for every one (Volkswagon ie;peoples car)and full employment and high pay for the workers. The NDP could’nt say it better and have taken up the torch complete with the strident speeches.
I did not know that bullspit rhymed with statesmanship!
These Dippers are going down this year!
Promise.
Unfortunately, I live in a safe Progressive Conservative riding here… Southdale.
Wish I was in a swing riding where I could help a dipper flame out with spectacular results.
(After years of living in the Osborne Village and then up in the Yukon, you don’t know how refreshing it is to live in a PC neighborhood. Too bad our fed representative is a stink Liberal. Small steps, though!)
Doer is one of the reasons I moved to Alberta. Manitoba has the worst economy in western Canada. All the brightest young people are moving away in droves. The only increase in population is that of welfare recipients. Crime is out of control. You can not name one thing that the NDP has done positive, unless you’re a unionized govt worker. NDP says they have increased funding, but the total number of doctors and nurses are less than when they took office. Rewarded the unions destroyed the economy. The only buildings built downtown are govt funded ones, mts centre, hydro building. No one likes working downtown, especially after dark. Its a shame that the ndp have destroyed a prov
Man, I thought Gipper McGuinty was a twit (OK it’s true) but Mr. Doer is in a league of his own. By the way, I hate to ask the obvious, but since us Ontario folk sometimes get the wrath of the west for voting Liberal, how come so many people from Saskatchewan vote NDP? Is it the legacy of Tommy D.?
I ask this as a serious question. I’m a dyed in the ‘purlaine’ wool Conservative. Lived in Ontario all my 47 years and never voted Liberal, NDP, etc.
If you’ve just slipped up a bit and are asking about Manitoba, there Brian, I’ll tell you my opinion:
Big union town, with lots of rail workers and former rail workers. The feds, the province and the city are huge employers, and most of our economic might bolted east and west after the railways became less and less important.
Too many people looking for a lifetime job, and too many restrictions on entrepreneurial opportunities.
At times, it’s very cold and then very hot, and we have many angry insects, which anger the blood and promote socialism.
”how come so many people from Saskatchewan vote NDP? Is it the legacy of Tommy D.?”
That and the legacy of Grant Devine.
Ohhhh but I understand the WFP is all ga-ga for Gary 😉 Frankly I think it is the WFP who has kept this kleptocratic doofus in power long after his best before date…he’s starting to turn and they can’t keep the smell from the voters much longer.
Yukon G. – yep, major slip up on my part. Sorry folks. Chalk it up to a brain cramp and I’ll give you my best Homer Simpson “Doh!”
Like in SK, when the conservatives threaten in MB, the anti-Alberta rhetoric gets ramped up:
“Chuck Strahl is an Alberta-centric organ grinder and Hugh McFadyen and the provincial Tories are the Alberta-centric monkeys,” said Doer.

Doer is a Moron. He lies more often than most other politicians. He tries to take credit for other peoples doings and is quick to blame the former Filmon Gov’t when things don’t work out.All one has to do is ask a Crocus Investor about Doers neglect and probable crookedness.I think Ralph Klein said it best when he referred to Gary Doer as a “Lazy Socialist”.
Doer and the winterpegs have not been happy since Calgary became the distribution centre for the west. The economic and population geocentre of the west now resides somewhere around Caroline. the feed in and out from the west ends in Calgary, the north south corridor from Mexico to Alaska passes through Calgary, the eastern distribution comes through Calgary and the eastern rhetoric falls in the same place. no one even mentions “Adminton henymore”
