Before he was against them.
The Corner has been compiling the reaction. Glenn Reynolds; “Kerry’s suggestion that the troops in Iraq are dumb failures is not only reprehensible, but false on the facts.”
More roundup action from (combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm) Dr.James Joyner, PhD at Outside The Beltway, on John Kerry, “who came a few thousand Ohio voters short of being Commander in Chief.
Breaking – Kerry clarifies; “Rush Limbaugh made me do it.”
Hot Air – We have ourselves a meltdown”.
Flashback to his own “lackluster” academic record at Yale. (Via Drudge)
Allegations by The Swift Boat Veterans For The Truth that Kerry’s Vietnam purple hearts were self-inflicted become more believable all the time.

Thats Georges cousin didn’t you know? Plus they’re Skull and Bones brothers. No difference between the 2 or the party.
But most here can’t tell the difference.lol
RE: One of them a draft dodger
That is a lie. Many pilots were killed flying the fighter plane that Bush trained on in the ANG.
John Kerry, on Tim Russerts show well over a year ago, promised to release his military records. So far that has not happened. What is the problem? Is there any another elected official in the Congress who has served in the military that has not signed those release forms? I do not think so.
concrete,
Bush is a draft dodger, pure and simple!
Not in the classic sense of running and hiding out in Canada.
His record, absenteeism and failure to engage in active combat are reasons enough.
Everyone knows that the ANG is America’s answer to the House of Lords. A place that the under-achieving privileged go to save face for their embarassed over-achieving arrogant parents.
RE: “Everyone knows that the ANG is America’s answer to the House of Lords.”
Not quite. The House of Lords does not require training with a high risk of personal danger. Training to be a fighter pilot does, and that danger is irregardless of class.
Pilots from the 147th Fighter Interceptor Group, as it was called at the time, were conducting combat missions in Vietnam when Bush enlisted. Air Force F-102 squadrons had been stationed in Thailand since 1961 and South Vietnam since March 1962. Pres. Bush requested a transfer to a squadron that was going to Vietnam and was denied.
The F-102 was a notoriously difficult aircraft to fly. The lifetime Class A accident rate for the F-102 was 13.69 mishaps per 100,000 flight hours, compared to today’s planes which average around 4 mishaps per 100,000 hour.
The F-102 claimed the lives of many pilots, including a number stationed at Ellington during Bush’s tenure. Of the 875 F-102A production models that entered service, 259 were lost in accidents that killed 70 Air Force and ANG pilots.
RE: “Bush is a draft dodger, pure and simple! His record, absenteeism and failure to engage in active combat are reasons enough.”
So by your own pure and simple reasoning, what does that make Pres. Clinton?
Answer, a draft dodger.
Texas Canuck. WTF are you talking about? Don’t equate me with David Brown. I am an RMC grad and retired military officer who supports our troops 100%. You need to lose your black and white thinking; then you will stop insulting people you know nothing about. Just because I say Kerry put his foot in his mouth isn’t exactly support for the guy. I personally think he’s hopeless.
V.v. upcoming elections, welcome to the real world, where this stuff does affect voting patterns.
To set the record straight….
I am an not a RMC grad nor a retired military officer but I do support our troops 100%.
neutralsam – are you real, or just a computer generated moonbat script that wander aimlessly around the blogosphere.
You really need new material.
Haha, Kerry is losing elections that he isn’t even in. Mmm, but that does really tick me off. No one on American soil has the right to show “general disdain” for our troops -or thats just my general opinion.
