Again I encourage Canadian conservatives not to become too blindly supportive with the Bush administration as there are plenty of warts that have gone unreported concerning 9/11 and other domestic issues which are starting to fester in the public discourse…the poll numbers show it.
All indications are that this brewing “cover up” scandal is about to rip wide open and it will take most of the current administration down as quickly as the watergate commission did Nixon’s gang.
The reason I give the brewing scandal any credibility at all is that its proponents appear to be totally non partisan and politically unconnected private citizens…they have no anti-war or leftist agenda…they want a full accounting on the reason national security was so criminally compromised on 9/11….and they ask rational questions about known facts that conflict with the offical story in the 9/11 report… why are they being politically stone walled over complaints that the 9/11 report is inconclusive and devoid of offering explanations to many known facts concerning the incidents on 9/11?
These people cannot be dismissed as “nuts”…the MSM and administration have attempted that for the past 3 years and still public concerns over the anomalies in the 9/11 investigation grow. It’s just a matter of time before full accountability is demanded by congress.

You might want to take of your tin foil hat for a short while, stop pretending you’re not a liberal troll, and do some historical reading and study.
You could start by reading about the very analogous history surrounding the Pearl Harbor attack and the subsequent Congressional investigation. The imperfections, the errors, the derelictions, were systemic in the US government, going back into the 20’s and reflecting negatively as much on the Harding, Coolidge and Hoover Administrations as on the Roosevelt Administration.
That reading and study will offer to the open mind something that’s called “historical perspective”, something woefully lacking in liberals and liberal pseudo-philosophy.
One could make an excellent case (and numerous objective, erudite, informed authors have done so) that had Bill Clinton and his Administration even halfway done their duty in their EIGHT YEARS in office, 9/11 could not have happened, or would have been prevented by US intelligence and law enforcement.
Eight MONTHS of the Bush Administration was not enough to counter-act the enormity of Clintonesque derelictions of duty, particularly in the area of national security.
You want to talk about scandal? Clinton’s eight years in office was practically non-stop scandal. From campaign fund-raising scandals, to influence-peddling scandals, to corrupt Cabinet Officer scandals. And that’s not even touching on Clinton’s non-stop “Bimbo Eruptions”.
Whatever the flaws of President George W. Bush and his Administration, (and every president has had them, even Washington and Lincoln-that pesky “historical perspective” thing again) they are minute compared to those of Bill Clinton and his Administration.
In my opinion, history will judge Bill Clinton one of the worst, if not THE worst, president in American history. America will be paying for his errors of ommission and commission for decades.
Contrary, history will be very kind to George W. Bush. He and his Administration will be seen to be on the right side of history, that of enlarging human liberty throughout the world.
Those of the American and generally the Western left who hate Bush and his Administration so viscerally will be seen in the contemptuous and profoundly negative light their destructiveness and nihilism has so richly earned.

Muhammed Ali, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Ahmad Rashad are Muslims. They can hardly be called terrorists or viruses. Remember, these people adopted Islam as their religion, and were not raised in an environment where the faith was usurped by demagogues with a nefarious agenda. I’m Jewish, and I know for a fact that converts tend to be more fanatical about the religion than those who were born into it. So I have to believe that the Islam practiced by the gentlemen I mentioned above is closer to its purest form.
Dave’s counter argument to “It’s Bush’s fault” is “It’s Clinton’s fault”. That’s politics in a nutshell.

I couldn’t help thinking the parallel�s of blogs like these to the movie ‘Judgement Day’ where a couple hiding inside a mountain refuge while Skynet was attacking mankind. But out of the nuclear chaos came calls over the radio, pockets of people calling in to start a rebellion.

I do not call people, whether muslim or not, a ‘virus.’ I called Islam a virus. Once it infiltrates a country and grows to a critical mass, it behaves like one. What other observation could anybody make when considering historical Islam and it’s path today in Europe?
Consider the rape wave in Sweden. Rapes have tripled in 20 years and 85% of the convicted rapists are Muslim. Women are so worried that a group of teenage girls has designed a belt that requires two hands to remove and which they hope will deter would-be rapists. In Oslo, Norway, Muslims were involved in two out of three rape charges and in Copenhagen, Denmark, Muslims were involved in three out of four rape charges in 2001.
And talk about Dhimmitude – 30 guests in a Swedish public bath watched as a 17 year-old girl was brutally raped by a gang of Muslim youths recently. And no wonder, they’ve got religious permission to do so. An Islamic mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are “asking for rape.” Hamid, a young immigrant in Sweden says, “It is not as wrong raping a Swedish girl as raping an Arab girl. The Swedish girl gets a lot of help afterwards, and she had probably fucked before anyway. But the Arab girl will get problems with her family. For her, being raped is a source of shame. It is important that she retains her virginity until she marries.”
They refer to Mohammad, taking instruction from him – acknowledging that Mohammad himself had forced sex (rape) with several of his slave girls/concubines. This is perfectly allowed, both in the sunna and in the Koran.
If you postulate that many of the Muslims in Europe view themselves as a conquering army and that European women are simply war booty, it all makes perfect sense and is in full accordance with Islamic law. The only law they care about.
Is this not unlike a virus that we should all be alarmed about?

Pages 186 and 193 of document BIAP 2003 00090 carry one of the most important information revealed so far regarding Saddam Nuclear Program. In these two pages which document a summary of meetings held by members of The Military Office of the Iraqi Baath Party and dated May/12/2002 and June/9/2002 they have a section that discuss Saddam Hussein meeting with the Chairman of the Atomic Energy and an elite of researchers.
I first thought that this may be a reference to a meeting between Saddam and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) so I called both of IAEA offices in New York and Vienna to check if Saddam had any meeting with the IAEA Chairman prior to May 2002, and they indicated to me that they do not recall any such meeting of IAEA chairman and Saddam prior to May 2002.
What is also important is that President Bush in a speech dated October 7 2002 mentioned that Saddam has held numerous meetings with his nuclear Scientists and I quite from President Bush �The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program. Saddam Hussein has held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, a group he calls his “nuclear mujahideen” — his nuclear holy warriors� (see: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021007-8.html ).
So this document shows that it is true that in 2002 Saddam still has an active nuclear program if he still has a Chairman of the Atomic Energy Group and a group of Nuclear Scientists.

Interesting quotes from muslims in Sweden and Denmark – I live in a small town with a fairly large muslim population for its size. One of the video stores has a small curtained room with adult fare in it. One day whilst thinking about renting one of the tamer one’s for me & the missus to watch as the kids were gone for the night I took a boo inside. Interestingly enough out of the 50 or so titles in there, there were only about 10 that could be considered even slightly “mainstream”, the rest were of the more hardcore and semi violent nature that one might expect to find in seedier locales in the big cities.
I knew the clerk at the counter and asker her why such titles were carried and who rented them, she replied that it was at least 90% young muslim men who rented these, and the more hardcore and violent the titles sounded the less time they spent on the shelf.
I guess it’s ok (as well as not hypocritical) because the women in these are “non-muslim”?

Islam, a virus? Anyone who has even a tiny understanding of Islamic history knows one thing. Islam has spread via invasion, force, butchery. Christianity used some of these same methods as well, but European Christianity was also full of reformers and humanistic thinkers who eventually won.
Most of you younger readers do not know (because of an MSM blackout), but most of Africa was Christian 40 years ago. Countries like Kenya received most of their aid and support from a great number of Christian agencies. Today, Kenya is under Muslim siege, as are increasing numbers of African countries. The UN fully backs the Muslim wave, because the largest UN voting block is Muslim. The wave (virus) has come from the North, and has spread by violence or threat of violence.
There is nothing new in this. It is simply the continuation of 1400 years of aggressive and barbaric evangelism. Mohammad made it clear, that rape, murder, and killing are the spoils for his warriors. Bad Muslims, poorly trained Muslims, secular Muslims, are peaceful Muslims. The fanatics are the true believers.
Moderate Muslims only exist where they are the minority and where they are under the supervision of either dictatorship or a Western Power. During the cold war, Soviet or Western powers held the Mullahs in check. Today, that restraint is gone. Added to this is the Liberal philosophy that hates Western free market success so much, that being allied to Muslim interests is more important than protection of democracy.
Islam is the enemy over there, but Liberals and leftists are the enablers over here.
It’s time people started getting genuinely concerned. Europe is likely beyond saving, simply because demographic shifts will give Muslims a 30 to 40 percent population in the next twenty to thirty years. We owe it to our children to stop the virus in North America.
Muslims behave when they are a tiny minority or under the rule of humanistic law. Once they reach a threshold, they DO NOT embrace liberal democracy. They have not had their reformation. Anyone watching Europe and coming to some other conclusion needs a brain transplant. Anyone watching the impass in Iraq right now, must begin to see who is the root problem. It is the Mullahs, and it’ll likely take a brutal repression by the Iraqi Army to save Iraq. The massive turnout of voters for peace has no impact on these people. They are driven by Mohammads commands, and as true Muslims, they are completely right to hate and despise and want to destroy us. Mohammad commanded it.
We’ve got a long struggle ahead, and it’ll likely get a lot uglier before it improves. And we’ll lose, if the MSM and Liberal elite continue to pander to the barbarians.
� The details surrounding the BC legislature raids are infuriating. The payments received by Dave Basi and his crew – well, that will be tried in court, and justice will proceed. Our anger continues to grow, however, over the free pass that Erik Bornman has received as a result of turning on his former “business” associates. Once again, we saw this guy act with complete impunity within the federal Liberal scene for close to a decade, and in spite of every dirty trick, every underhanded tactic, every bare-faced lie, he always seemed to escape concequences. So now, the warrants assert that his company dangled federal jobs that weren’t his to dole out, and of course $24,000 in bribes, and walks away from criminal charges due to becoming a star witness for the Crown (all allegations that have yet to be proven in court). And his former partner, Brian Kieran? Well, the former reporter is now preparing for retirement, a decision that happened just days before the warrants also linked his name to money passed onto Basi (also unproven in court). This of course leaves Kieran’s current partner and president of the Liberal Party of Canada in BC, Jamie Elmhirst, to pick up the pieces of a business that despite changing its name, still employs the infamous domain for the company website. Government relations? Indeed.
And shame on McCarthy Tetrault for hiring Bornman on as an articling student, in spite of knowing that he was a key figure in this case. +

This Government will tackle crime. It will propose changes to the Criminal Code to provide tougher sentences for violent and repeat offenders, particularly those involved in weapons-related crimes. It will help prevent crime by putting more police on the street and improving the security of our borders.

I got an e-mail from an American friend last night, with a post from someone who taught at the University of Massachusetts where Jill Carroll was a journalism student and where she was a reporter on the school newspaper. He read her articles and here’s what he had to say about her and her politics:

Farmers To Shut Off Groceries

Organizers of today’s farmers’ protest are promising to shut off supplies to grocery stores across the province if they don’t get more help from the federal government.
Organizer Dwight Foster, from Greely, tells CFRA news they’ll stay camped out on Wellington until Friday, awaiting word from the federal government that more financial aid is on the way. Foster says it’s critical they get assistance this week, since many farmers won’t be able to do their spring planting unless they’re assured the federal government will be putting up some cash.
But if there’s no word by Friday, Foster warns that farmers will start blockading food terminals across the province. That will lead to empty store shelves in a few days.
The farmers want the federal government to sharply increase financial assistance to cope with subsidies paid to European and American producers that they say are undercutting their markets. +
