2 Million Visits!

Smalldeadanimals.com was launched February 18th, 2004 – and earlier today Sitemeter rolled over the 2 million visits mark.
Very cool. Thanks everyone, for the “early birthday” present!

  1. Personally, I may as well make you my home page. It’s not that I read it all the time, but I come here to check your blogging torries and other links.

  2. Happy un-birthday Kate. I come here to get the goods I don’t see in the Hamilton/Toronto fish wrappers, and I’m never disapointed.
    Keep cranking girlie, you rock!

  3. hey congrats Kate!
I’m jealous. I only have a 11 hits…and 10 of those are me checking back to see who’s visited my website
    đŸ˜‰

  4. Happy Birthday Kate! I hope someone either takes you out or cooks you a nice dinner. Continued success and many thanks/curses for providing such an addictive distraction to my day!

  5. Congratulations, Kate!! Your work is obviously a valuable resource to many thousands of people throughout Canada and North America.
I should say, “Thank you”. Five months ago, I barely knew what a blog was. Then I found your site after hearing the about “Raise the Flag” story over CJME. Been following SDA ever since.
You also motivated me – a former, small-city MSM journalist frustrated with its leftist, pressroom elitism – to join the blogosphere.
Here’s to many million more hits at SDA!

  6. 2 down, 8 to go for the Bil milestone. That could happen sooner if the MSM ever provided info to readers that blogging was easy, free and endless fun.
Guess you may not see any blog info story in the Nat Post or Mop & Pail. They see the point of diminishing returns and are not going to speed it up by being informative.
Ottawa Citizen is still a Liberal agent.
Liberals contemplate quick comeback after disastrous first week for Harper
OTTAWA (CP) – Liberals are dreaming about a speedy return to power after watching the disastrous opening week of Stephen Harper’s new Conservative administration.

What a crock of.. What disaster? A Vancouver protest group assembled in Vancouver Center via an NDP phone-up campaign to yell at Emerson.
I say this is a disgusting misuse of the term *disasterous*. Rigid Liberal nut-bars. TG

  7. Good for you, Kate. You provide a valuable service to thinking people who are fed up with the socialist spin.
    The Lord bless you.

  8. Three cheers for Kate & SDA!
A few questions for you: A few months ago you were getting 4000 – 5000 hits (or site visits?) per day. What is it now?
Also, Mark Steyn has linked to you several times in the past month on his sidebar. Does your site visits / hit count go up noticeably when he links to you?
Thanks for the free provision of SDA! Are you making any money off of Mattress Mattress Inc.? I click on it at least once per week.
As many others have said before me: You Rock!

  9. Sitemeter is showing 8k visits a day at the moment. As I’ve mentioned in the past, it tends to undercount – the actual server stats are quite a lot higher, but as Sitemeter is the one publicly available, it’s the one I use for “milestones”.
Most of the traffic comes in by way of the main page, actually – so while I used to notice traffic bumps on linkage to specific pages by Mark Steyn or Michelle Malkin, it’s not as noticable anymore.
The political news cycle seems to be the number traffic pusher now.

  10. I found sda through steynonline and have always enjoyed my visits here.

Thank you for providing this site Kate.

Congratulations on your well earned success.

I think Kate could probably start a trend by calling the MSM the LSM (lame stream media) in the most blatent cases of presstitution.

Keep it up LSM and Kate, keep whistling.

  11. Kate,
I’m proud to have been one of the two million visitors. Yours is the only site where I really try to be a gentleman, because you are truly a lady of the highest calibre!

  12. Kongrats Kate! Before finding this site I had thought that there was no conservative/libertarian constitutency at all in Canada. I believe you’ve proven that there is at least a tiny one.

  13. Congratulations Kate! You have earned and deserve this! My day is never complete unless I get to read “Small Dead Animals”! Even if I don’t always agree with 100% of what you say all of the time, I still gain some value from it. So, keep up the good work!

  14. Mes sincres flicitations Madame,
J’ai pris l’habitude de vous lire quotidiennement depuis plus d’un mois.
Votre Blog est maintenant dans mes favoris.
    Merci pour votre travail.

    My congratulations Miss.
I took the habit to read you daily for over a month now.
Your Blog adress is now in my Bookmark.
Tanks you for your hard work.

  15. Congratulations, Kate. SDA is the first site I ever visited, at my brothers’ recommendation.
SDA has now become as essential as my morning coffee. Thank you for all your work.

  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE and congratulations on hitting the 2 million mark. Keep up the great work. I for one would be lost, with out my daily visit’s here. Yuppppppppp, I’m addicted.

  17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE and congratulations on hitting the 2 million mark. Keep up the great work. Its hard to get through a day, with out my dose of SDA. Yupppppppp, I’m addicted.

  18. Congrat’s on having a great site.I’m new to the blog scene, but heard about it on the radio, and I’ll be getting the facts this way!!!

  19. Way to go, Kate. Do you know how many RSS feeds are hooked up to you? That probably isn’t the correct technical term, so I hope you know what I mean.

  20. Way to go kate, I concur with everyone best going & after my mail first place I go now “Iam Hooked”.

  21. Congratulations, Kate, and my thanks are to you! You have earned every visitor by being a EXCELLENT journalist. Your website is a voice of sanity in a squishy, repetitive, uninspiring, never ending spewing of left wing drivil in the MSM of Canada.

  22. You have one of the best blogs on either side of the border, Kate.
    An appreciative Yank………Penny

  23. I remember my twins tasting some new pop I’d bought last summer, they had a huge first sip, then Brooke said, “it burnssssssssss….. I like it”
the msm, watered down / dumbed down “all the news that fits” and “all the news thats fit” to become like some sort of… if Mcdonalds sold news with their burgers… we know it’s a “hamburger”, and we know it’s “new’s”, but is it real? and where’s the beef?
increasingly, (certainly?) the answer is no.
interesting comments from Ann Coulter as always…
    (isn’t thinking… “cool”!)
    thanks to markpeters.ca
I recall how I landed here, it was the NDP’s bogus survey to prop up their argument for more equalization $$ in Saskatchewan… (must have been a spike that week.)
    “2 million served” ! cool.

  24. Congratualations Kate. I found this site through Captain’s Quarters during the blackout of the Sponsorship Scandal I was referred to Captain’s Quarters through my daily newspaper. Isn’t that ironic, now I don’t even read the daily just the obits. Anyways the best and most accurate unbiased news is sitting right here in front of me 24hrs. a day.
    Thanks again – Neileen

  25. Hey Kate… you launched your site on my birthday!
And it feels like just yesterday we were congratulating you on your one-millionth visit.
    Hey, two mil… that’s cool!
Myself, I recently passed the 10,000th visit mark for The Canadian Sentinel. Started up on Sept. 11th, 2005. I humbly kneel before Kate… may the three millionth visit come faster!
I, too, am getting somewhere with TCS. Very soon I’ll have some truly big, serious stuff, which is actually ready and might very well become a continuing story. And I’m not just tootin’ the horn here, either…

  26. Hey Kate
From one stubble jumper to another… Congratulations on a wonderful blog and a job well done!
As for the MSM, I am glad that you are there with counless others keeping their feet to the fire every day. It has become obvious that they are going to have to take a hard look at jounalistic integrity and the reasons for the general malaise that has set into journalistic reporting and take some steps to change and improve. If they don’t, they will become increasingly more irrelevant (I don’t subscribe to or read a newspaper anymore) and cease to exist other than as info disseminators and apologists for the powers that be. Shame on them.
    Happy Birthday Kate!
    Maranatha
