In an exclusive, Rusty Shackleford of The Jawa Report has identified the four “anti-war” hostages taken in Iraq. The names include those of the two Canadians being held.
A hostage video has been released of the four Western peace activists taken hostage in Iraq. The Jawa Report has obtained a copy of the video. Images from the video and links to video posted below. The video shows American Thomas Fox of Clear Brook Virginia, Canadian Harmeet Singh Sooden, who resides in Auckland, New Zealand, British citizen Norman Kember, and some one who appears to identify himself as James Loni (last name unclear) of Canada.
Previously only Norman Kember had been identified. The Christian Peacemaker Teams organization has confirmed to The Jawa Report in the e-mail that the four hostages were working for that group.
The copy of the video I have makes no ransom demands, although a voice can be heard directing the hostages in the background.
He also has a transcript and photos.

Can’t feel sorry for them…they had to know that going there they where putting their lives in harms way.
I hope the Marines save their asses.
Then they can go back to bitterly complaning about the fascist Bushhitler McChimpyburton regime and imperialist ameriKKKa.
All in the comfort of a nice heated home and with plenty to eat and drink. Make sure you educate your children that we’re really the bad ones.
As much as I don’t like “peace activists,” I hope these guys make it out OK.
Agreed, Matt.
Kate:
Clean up on aisles 5 and 6.

hehehe….. Dr. Rusty Shackleford of the Jawa report? Checked out his link, pretty good.
Rusty Shackleford is the alias of a character named “Dale Gribble” from the cartoon series “King of the Hill.” If I recall correctly, Dale, who is terrified of the gov’t, and their computers, which he calls “the beast” took the name Rusty Shackleford (from a deceased child) to avoid being found out in one episode. He also collects welfare under that name.
And now that I’ve revealed that “I know too much” about cartoons let me say that one episode of Futurama said “Detecing trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer.” Oh my, dug my own hole there….
via the NRO corner, they found this from the group.

“CPT does not advocate the use of violent force to save lives of its workers should they be kidnapped, held hostage, or caught in the middle of a conflict situation.”
These people have demonstrated significant courage to act upon their beliefs. They must be incredibly frightened, and their families must be experiencing profound anxiety.
Let us hope they are freed soon, unharmed.
As much as I disagree with their positions, it’s precisely those positions that may lead to their release. If their captors understand that these people are protesting the war, they could well release them to make their point that they’re simply opposing the army forces themselves. If they were to be so stupid as to act against the activists, the terrorists may soon find themselves with a backlash here, and no peace activists to oppose the war over here. Anyways, there’s reason for hope, for sure, especially if the captors are communicating with their hostages.
It did take courage to go over there in support of their beliefs – I find myself wondering if they’re still of the same opinion, now that they’re face to face with what the military forces are facing over there. Could lead to an interesting breakthrough, of a sort.
These people put themselves in harms way on their own bias, but it will be the people they are protesting against that will be in extra danger rescueing them if the chance occurs. They will probably do it without a word of thanks from them.
I hope they make it out alive but if it costs the life of one troup then I wish they rot.
That ass Dan McTeague was on TV saying that he couldn’t do as much as he normally could for the hostages because “some people were putting partisan politics ahead of the good of the country,” and that was preventing him from giving full attention to his job.
What an asshat!
“That ass Dan McTeague was on TV saying that he couldn’t do as much as he normally could for the hostages”.
As he normally could? And that would be…..
We have no consulate there. And if he helps them like he helped Kazemi, well, wish them luck.Oh wait. Maybe he meant he couldn’t go to his terrorist buddies in Montreal/Toronto and promise them anything,as he hasn’t any access to gobs of money for awhile.
Let’s start a fund to send more freaks to Iraq: see how friendly the ‘resistance fighters’ are.
Let’s fucking leave them there…they deserve everything they get.
For once, I will laugh when their heads are cut off in realtime
Give the PM credit. He has not called the hostage-taking “unacceptable”.
Yet.

Unfortunately I suspect the kidnappers are just petty crooks out for a few quick ‘n easy Dinars, and they’ll probably let these doofuses go.
Pravdas headline blames the US for the hostage taking.
should be there all day at the top.
no room on the CBC site for election stuff unless Harper falls down the stairs.
Where’s a good terrorist when you need one!
Would someone please drive a bus load of explosives into Liberal party headquarters..!!
B Wylie, are you a liberal plant trying to make conservatives look bad?
None of this matters. It is all about money. That and hatred of the west. Canada is just as evil as the rest of the west in their eyes. They are as good as dead.
