As the post mortems continue over the conviction of David Ahenakew, I am reminded of a post by “Raskolnikov” at Dust My Broom” this past April;

Pick up books assigned to studies of native history, self-government or politics, and the radical bent is obvious. For all the lip service about how we have to turn to our elders and our traditions for guidance, it would appear that our elders include Noam Chomsky and our traditions include anarchy. We are supposed to be peace-loving people yet we study and believe theories espousing violent revolution, anarchy and reverse-racism. Go to sites like Friends of Grassy Narrows, Resist, Redwire or Winnipeg IndyMedia and you can see, for yourself, the radicalism that permeates the aboriginal community, at least among the activists. Even more tragic, few stop to wonder about this and can only resort to inane rebuttals about the oppression being so deterministic how can we do anything else but long for bloodshed and violence? It’s our only option.
Now, with people like David Ahenakew and Terry Nelson, who, despite being an illiterate criminal is still a “role model” in the sense that he shows how horribly easy it is to become chief when you don’t let things like a lack of spelling skills and morals handcuff you, spurting their racist bile, the radical left sowing has produced its first sprout peeking out of the dirt.
Ahenakew is the most obvious product of such indoctrination: the Jews started WWII, they control the world, are a disease, they slaughter innocent Palestinians on their way to charity drives. He may as well be reading from The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, or, for that matter, an Eric Margolis column.
Don’t know about you, but hearing that all the political problems in this country being caused by the ‘radical left’ and the ‘commies’ is becoming tedious- why not refer to them as they really are: very well-organized CRIMINALS! (If you or I engaged in what these people have been doing for the past 30 years, they would toss us so far behind bars that you would have to pump air in to us!)

In a comment on one of my posts on hate crime it was stated that the motivation for acts of people like Ahenakew should not be an offense in the spirit of free speech.
The frightening aspect of this is the top down learning that goes with it. So called leaders like Terrance and David speak and it flows into the brains of whoever depends on them or sees them as hero’s fighting against “the white man”. Take a look at some of the sites he mentions and also include Ghostchild if you could. Then think about the killings in Red Lake by the “native nazi”.

Tony, somedays there is just no cure for stupidity. If Mr. Ahenakew wants to be a fool; then let him. Why however call attention to him by stripping him of his medal. Evidently, the good work he did to deserve it; didn’t somehow magically disappear. Somehow all his Assembly of First Nations work has been extinguished; like not a few land claims?
But then given that Canada still has some of the most racist legislation in the world with the Indian Act; we should not be suprised. How about Canada’s apartheid Indian Act; this is not racist? Stripping Ahenakew of his medal, for his inappropriate remarks about Jews, is akin to the kettle calling the pot black.

The CBC is certainly making a big deal out of allegations made by a couple of people who in all likelihood have been recruited by the Vast, Left-Wing Conspiracy and the Libranos to discredit the man who could finally bring down these despots.

Remember, Grewal recently provided the RCMP with more tapes, but what, if anything, are they bothering to do? They won’t tell us, the people who have a right to know, a fecking bloody thing! They’re, instead, very fecking quick to tell the fecking Canadian Brainwashing Corporation they’re investigating Grewal on ALLEGATIONS concerning a very small, ALLEGED amount of money. Why don’t they say they won’t investigate due to lack of evidence? They say that wrt the Libranos all the fecking time! When I say that I can’t believe what I saw last night on “The National”, I am not using a figure of speech. It was like a bad dream. Mark Kelly introduced the news story in question: “Sightings of Gurmant Grewal have become a rare thing, but the Conservative MP could find it hard to stay out of the spotlight for long. CBC news has learned the RCMP is asking questions about Grewal. It’s not over his tape-recorded conversations with Liberals; as Terry Milewski reportes, the issue is Grewal’s campaign financing”.
Terry Milewski: “Gurmant Grewal is already under investigation after tape-recording his conversations with Liberals about crossing the floor. Now CBC news has learned that the RCMP are also investigating his campaign finances.”
Turns out there’s insufficient documentation of a couple of $600 cheques, and a $1000 cheque, made out to him by constituents. Milewski says the president of Grewal’s riding association, Jim Holt, says that the cheque went to a supplier for campaign expenses, “although that is not the procedure required by the elections act.”
Almost half of this unusually long (4 and a half minute) news story has Milewski standing in front of Grewal’s constituencey office, with the name “Gurmant Grewal” prominently displayed behind him.
For over one full minute (seriously) we get a close-up camera shot of these $600 cheques, with Gurmant Grewal’s name on them, panning up, down, left and right to the accompaniment of Milewski’s voice-over. The first time we see a cheque, it is a jump edit as the word “fishy” is being pronounced by one of the donors.
Even knowing what everyone knows, it is still shocking that the CBC, who never asked their Liberal bosses about the CONTENTS of the Murphy/Dosanjh tape, who covered PMPM’s illegal multi-billion dollar spending spree with the demeanor of kids following an ice-cream truck, who never once investigated to find out where the hundreds of thousands of dollars in CASH come from — cash which was used to fund the Liberal’s winning campaign — and who never investigated Liberal fundraising behaviour and it’s many millions of diverted money until it was already in the public eye due to a public enquiry, last night had the RCMP and Terry Milewski on national television looking, probing, casting aspersions on Gurmant Grewal (who else?), all over the insufficient documentation of several $600 and a $1000 cheque made out to him by consituents. When you factor in the RCMP, it is all far too ominous to dismissed as mere “bias”.
At one point Milewski, again standing with Grewal’s name over his head, says this with a straight face, comnpletely earnest and utterly devoid of irony: “The issue here is that the elections act has very strict rules about campaign donations. Everyone must get a recipt, and the act also makes it illegal for donations to be deposited anywhere but in the campaign’s account, or the riding association. The act also says that only the official agent can handle contributions, and that every one must be reported to elections Canada. In Gurmant Grewal’s campaign, we found five cases where these things don’t seem to have happened.”
Now it cuts to one of the people who gave a $600 cheque — who may or may not be a donor to the Liberals as well (more on that coming right up) — “This is really strange and unusual. We have one of our national parties, one of it’s candidates is accepting donation towards a campaign, and there is no recipt being issued — so it raises a lot of questions”.
Milewski signs off with some curiously threatening introductory wording: “As the riding president Jim Holt said, these charges are part of what he called a political assassination campaign by the Liberals against Grewal. (!) And it’s true that some of those complaining did give money to the Liberals as well as the Conservatives…” (which ones?) “…but neither Grewal nor any other Conservative is ready to give a full accounting of where the money went, and why these donations were not reported as required.”

Believe it or not, I was once warned by a professor after using the line, “This is our country!” that I’d better not say that sort of thing again or I’d be removed from the email discussion list.

MP Gurmant Grewal appeared on CTV tonight regarding one cheque that was written to him. The cheque was dated in 2003, before the Conservative Party of Canada existed legally. No surprise the donor didn’t receive a receipt. The receipt is the cancelled cheque isn’t it. And no tax donation exemption, right?
Obviously some third party is at work stirring up the pot here. Health Minister Dosangue told reporters he wasn’t involved in a character assination campaign. Then who?
