The MSM logic is show this repulsive behavior to the public to ‘normalize’ them and make glamorous anti heros of evil women. Sort of like the Billy the Kid was portrayed as a ‘good’ bad guy in the sensible, moral media of the 1800’s. This revolting attept SHOULD make people vomit. I hope it does but I fear it will not.

I don’t know why you’re unhappy with this story, except that perhaps it’s pointless. I don’t think it paints Homolka in a positive light at all. She’s not sorry and she reads a lot of true crime books — doesn’t that make your skin crawl? Where is it sympathetic? Or is there something that I’m missing that you don’t like about this story?

Yeah what a banana republic we have up here… the US just gave 60 years to an old man for a crime that he ‘WAS INVOLVED IN’ as one of a number of participants nearly 40 years ago! It had to do with ‘civil rights.’
In Canada we have Karla making snuff films of young innocent women (including her own sister), with her husband and she gets 12 years. Also, consider that she is very young when she did this, so serving a longer sentence would not have necessarily ruined her life.
Looks like Karla made a deal with the devil and won.

The article was not that bad and provided a valuable insight into the mind of Homolka. The more details we, the public get, the worse the ‘deal with the Devil’ looks.
Jema is completely right. If you took out details and context from the article, this sort of prurient, gossipy coverage could easily be mistaken for some Hollywood reporter breathlessly interviewing some celebrity.
If you found valuable insights in such an article, Sean, well have it. But to the rest of us, a sex-torture-murderer should not be treated as just another celebrity.
Believe me, I won’t be treating her as a ‘celebrity’ should I ever bump into her.
Well, the word, “Lesbians” certainly gets a lot of attention and is an easy way to sell papers or get people to watch tv.
There is, I believe, a time and a place for things to do with Lesbians, but as for serious news, who cares what one convict has to say about another? If there was no lesbianing going on, the MSM probably wouldn’t have interviewed the cellmate.
