A comparison of two experts who have pronounced on the Grewal tapes — one who said they were altered deliberately, and other who said they were clean recordings.
You have to decide which of the two is more credible.

Here is a keen incite:

I suggest going to “buckets” for all your “Grewal tape” needs. Does everybody realise “buckets” had enough “information” to “one-man-wreck” the CPC… yet he hadn’t even taken the time to figure out how to pronounce G-R-E-W-A-L….thus “buckets” is born.
If further examination shows that the “expert” hired by the Globe and Mail was wrong, the Conservatives and Mr. Grewal should sue for libel. its about time the CPC started playing hardball, and the best way to do that would be to force the G&M to involuntarily “donate” a large sum of money to the CPC for having printed something that was false and defamatory.
The Liberals were caught red-handed on tape. The fact that they still find it unnecessary to defend themselves against, or even refer to, the actual conversations on the tapes is like a loud non-stop alarm bell.
What a fatally sleepy country we are.
The current climate of complete Liberal immunity will land hard on the sham reporters who currently predominate the MSM. In a few years this state-sponsored era will be looked at as a dark age of journalism in Canada.
The one thing we can know for sure is that Gurmant Grewal’s pushing the REC button won’t be topic number one.
These incidents – AdScam, Grewal, Sheila Fraser’s reports, various whispers and facts and blatant evidence of corruption at the highest levels of government, at the heads of Crown Corporations, almost everywhere you look – all Liberal, all covered up – will NEVER be honestly investigated or reported on.
NEVER. We have seen blatantly and now in plain daylight that the Liberals have managed to corrupt or comprimise every institition we once thought above corruption. Even the RCMP at the higest levels and most likely CSIS. Even the Governor General for God’s sake but that’s not really a surpirse since I’m sure she would not want her spending either curtailed or audited.
We will NEVER change this government now. There is no political party, power or entity that can shake them loose.
They manipulate parliament; they control the ability of the Opposition to even oppose. They buy off mayors and whole provinces and every interest group you can name. They own the media.
Jack Layton knew he could not fight them – so he joined them. Duceppe is holding his ethics and morals high but the rest of the country sneers at the “separtists”.
Stephen Harper was supposed to ride in on a white horse to topple a country full of organized crime? It won’t happen. NOBODY can do it- no party or person or movement aside from 100’s of thousands of Canadians marching in the streets.
That won’t happen. Canadians have become a country of puppet people manipulated by clever and well tuned propaganda. It is history repeating itself – from socialism to worse. We are now on our way to worse.
There is no public outcry. Mid June is when the average Canadian has finished paying their taxes on their earnings – 1/2 of the year we work for THEM. THEY dangle our own money in front of us if we are good we may get a few cents on the dollar back. If we grovel.
We will NEVER change this – the Liberals are too entrenched. Will I give up caring? No. But I also won’t critisize those who are trying and failing to even nudge the populace to be in the least bit dismayed.
I support the Conservatives. I support Stephen Harper. But, we are out gunned, out manipulated, out bought and out sleazed to ever change the terrible direction this country is heading .
Sad, but so true HappyDaze. Sad but true.
Dosanjh: single tier medicare is safe
National Post – 3 hours ago
OTTAWA — Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh seems virtually alone in claiming that single-tier medicare is safe. Dosanjh says there won’t be two-tier health care in Canada, even though the Supreme Court struck …

Librano$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
This pinhead was taped by a reporter from MSM; duct tape?
Somebody should tell Dosanjj to have a look at Paul Martin’s private clinic and his Executive Wellness Plan.
Wondering whether our esteemed health minister is also a member of this private clinic. They have offices in Ontario as well as Quebec.
In quiring minds do want to know – hypocricy thy name is Liberal.

(1819-1861)
Say not the struggle naught availeth,
The labour and the wounds are vain,
The enemy faints not, nor faileth,
And as things have been, things remain.
If hopes were dupes, fears may be liars;
It may be, in yon smoke concealed,
Your comrades chase e’en now the fliers,
And, but for you, possess the field.
For while the tired waves, vainly breaking,
Seem here no painful inch to gain,
Far back through creeks and inlets making
Comes silent, flooding in, the main.
And not by eastern windows only,
When daylight comes, comes in the light,
In front the sun climbs slow, how slowly,
But westward, look, the land is bright.

Fight on:
“In front the sun climbs slow, how slowly,
But westward, look, the land is bright.”
Fight on!

Many people have reached the same conclusions as Happy Daze — that those of us who do not tolerate corruption propaganda and sleeze are really up against a seemingly intractable problem.
The only solution is for people in the West to assert their right to have a say in how they are governed. It is starting to become apparent that people in the west have vastly different values than southern Ontario does.
Not only does Ontario have no interest in changing the status quo, they apparently are quite happy corruption and crime being synonymous with Canadian government.
People out west cannot ultimately abide by such criminal unaccountability. It is one thing to be ruled over from afar, but it is another thing altogether when such rule is unaccountable and entirely self-interested.
The fact that the Liberal Party of Canada have used our federal police force to do their partisan bidding, and that they have laundered Canadian taxpayer’s money to fund their own party’s winning campaign — these little details WILL come back to haunt them.
It might take a year or two, but the recent polls showing overwhelming support for these Liberals in Ontario just points to an inexorably growing rift in this country. The next election will divide the country into three regions.
Everything else will follow from that.
EDB – the corrupt Liberals are in Quebec, they are in the west, they are in every institution.
The West is a real cash cow for the Liberals and their behind the scenes grafters. One huge unending source of pilfering is Indian Affairs.
Billions are wasted, pilfered, skimmed. Yet, billions more are “promised” by the Liberals. I weep for our First Nations people who are being used as pawns for a money laundering and make work industry for the unscrupulous.
Nobody can audit. Nobody’s cries are heard. Nobody can clean it up. Nobody cares?
Tell that to our wonderful first nations people who are forced to live below third world poverty conditions; whose social problems are causing genocide.
We care – but even at the “management ” level of their own people we know there is waste and mismanagement and corruption.
We care…we just can’t do anything about it.
I, for one, will not put up with an elected official, a person we hired, being a thief or an unethical idiot. I, for one, will fight this to the very end, even if it means the breakup of the country, or if it turns violent I will be there, because, I, for one, will not compromise my morals or ethics and have them minimized and trampled on for a minority of unethical and unmoral peoples that only use there morals and ethics for destruction of all we, and our forefathers, have died for. In summation, I, for one, will not be made to kneel to a dictatorship or aid in the advance of socialism, because I do not want my children and grandchildren to have to be slaves to a totally corrupt regime.
Ya, I think that about sums it up. Over the years, since Trudeau it’s been a low level resistance, but now, it’s become two stroke, no control, bend in the middle, full throttle, and non stop. If Ontario wants to live under these conditions, then they can have it, and I, and many tens of thousands like me, are ready to say goodbye to that part of the country.
I am currently reading a book called “Our Fathers: The Secret Life of the Catholic Church In An Age of Scandal”, by David France. It deals with the sex abuse scandals in the American church.
It’s a highly revolting read, but it’s topical: I am constantly struck, as I read the book, by the similarity between the church’s response to the uncovering of pedophile priests, and the response of the LPC and the MSM to the Libs being caught red-handed on tape.
The doublespeak, the character assassination of those who come forward, and, most disturbingly, the actively ovine complicity of the laity in disregarding abject abuse of power all have a familiar, um, smell.
By the way, I want to make abundantly clear that I have no knowledge that Martin or Murphy or Volpe or Chretien or Gagliano or Trudeau or Morselli or Corbeil or any other federal Liberal has, or has had, any affiliations whatsoever with, or was in any way affected by the teachings and rituals of the Catholic Church.
Neither am I saying that Catholicism in particular would foster an attitude which allows for closed hierarchical enclaves to be closed to outsiders and independent of external judgements.
I am merely speaking to the manifest nature of two different instances of abuse of position and authority, and of the similarity between these two variants of institutionalized authority.
Any takers?
No, but both institutions have demonstrated that power corrupts.
The basic moral values that we’ve all been raised to live by, and had it drilled into our head. Honesty, integrity, and ethical treatment of others is a basic western value based on a lot of religions.
It’s been claimed that a lot of wars have been started as a result of religious values, but is it possible they were started as a result of corruption, and taking advantage, of those values?
Link to Andrew Coyne – he has another excellent insight into this topic in his most recent column. Wouldst there were more journalists like Coyne – he is the ilk that I would like to see teaching the journalists of tomorrow to think for themselves, see beyond the spin and give thoughtful insights while not suffering fools.
http://www.andrewcoyne.com/
Rob – may I comment – ethics, morals and honesty used to be Canadian values. I am from the east. I still have family in the Ontario and Quebec.
We were all brought up with the original Golden Rule. Today’s Liberal Golden Rule is them’s that have the gold makes the rules.
Our lost moral ground from the top down is a Canadian tragedy- not just for the West.
HappyDaze,
They still are out here to a large degree, that’s why your hearing how the country is so divided, and in the west were kinda stubborn about that, so no matter what happens out east, attempts to compromise will ultimately result in some sort of conflict.
Our lost moral ground IS a tragedy for the whole country, not just the West. But it’s southern Ontario that overwhelmingly supports these Liberals.
The level of support there is unfathomable to the prairie west. (Outside of g-town Redmonton).
So? What are we going to do about it?
I recommend everyone read “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress”, by Robert A. Heinlein, and start making plans.
It’s time. Now.
Time for what? I haven’t read the book.
What will be harder for Darth ujall? Explaining his voice on the tapes… or getting people to hear his voice on one-tier healthcare.
Ujjal has never considered it necessary to explain his voice on the tapes. Because the tapes were altered.
As PMPM might say, “Just read the papers”.
The time to recover is now, before it becomes unrecoverable. If a certain aspect of the country can’t be brought back to decency and respect for other regions, then Canada will become many nations. The outcome is inevitable, as each regions range of acceptance of what is right and what is wrong is so vastly different, and what may be acceptable to the majority in one region may be deemed totally unacceptable in another.
It will be harder for our dis-honourable health minister to convince people in British Columbia who turfed him as Premier for implied corruption, mismangement of the province and who earned himself the reputation as a traitor to the NDP party.
He was also accused of some election shenanigans involving membership stacking and quite a bit more.
Strange while the media is combing through Mr. Grewal’s every living breath that none of these tales of Dosanjj have been revealed. Nor are the media camping out on Mr. Murphy’s front lawn like they are with the Grewals.
Forget two tier health care – we have two tier media with hunts and character assasination going on.
Dosanjj is not known for his ethics. He gave the NDP in BC a bad name so I guess that’s why he fits so well with the Liberals.
Funny of the day: When Ed Broadbent was asked today if Dosanjj was the right health minister to tackle canada’s health care crisis the witty and straight shooting Ed retorted ” Was Colonel Saunders a friend of chickens?!”
How the hell did Dosanjj get elected to the feds if he already had a history?
Dosanjh IS a go-to guy when you want something fixed…if you know what I mean.
“Two-tier media”. That’s good, H.Daze.
Very seldom do I print off someone’s post but I have a hardcopy of HappyDaze’s heavy post. I want to look it over again when things turn around.
Of course we both know this will be turned around in time. Canadians are becoming more aware every day.
The Governor General has her mansion up for sale. She is very sharp and has the best counsel. You may be assured she does not want to be found complicit with a corrupt government in avoiding her solemn oath to Canada. Just a matter of timing…eh?

Federalism will only work if there is some check on the power of the PM and thats not about to happen soon. We have to hope that Quebec separates and then Alberta start making noises. We should have an election right away not in the fall, somehow persuade Duceppe to stay where he is for now, until he takes most of the Quebec seats and then defect if he wants. Then should he go to the PQ all signs would point to separation. At that time Alberta should jump in and clamor for separation also. By then Ottawa would be willing to listen. In the latest edition of the Western STandard, David Warren, whom I thought was a staunch federalist, is now talking separation. Good for him.
If you folks would like to help get the ball rolling, email Pat O’Brien and Tom Wappel, two liberal MP’s and try to persuade them to vote against the budget next week or abstain. Any thoughts??
EBD, I have a post about it at my neocancon blog.
If the liebrals retain power after this whole ordeal, how do are they going to explain massive and growing sympathy for the Bloq. I am having a hard time not seeing Duceppe as the most important politican right now. Sad huh…
MikeP,
Just emailed them both..
The comment would be, once the sparatist ball starts to fly, I have my doubts you would stop it. It’s already spreading fairly rapidly.
yeah Rob I emailed both of them last week and Wappels EA actually emailed me back. What do you think of this? I have a sneaky suspicion that Martin is about to pull a fast one on guys like O’Brien and Wappel. He maybe telling them he will put off SSM till the fall if they vote for the budget. Then when they do he will bring it forward because he knows the bloc will vote for it and he doesnt need O’Brien or Wappel. I don’t trust Martin at all.
Geez Rob if Alberta separates there goes my Army pension. Have to come out of retirement.
Alberta and the West DO need to make some noise. This country was not created by Trudeau Liberals, but it sure has been mangled by them. If a more regional confederation were to come into being, we could finally leave this seventies, socialist central-planning bullshit, with all of it’s corruptions and progaganda, behind us, and reassert our core Canadian values, which do not come from Ottawa, but from the pioneers who built this country.
MikeP,
Ahhh… ya’ll didn’t like sitting around .. New AB Army’s will be lookin for trainers anyway … 😉
EBO… a lot of people have joined the separation party, and when I talk to anyone about it, it takes NO effort to convince them. I’m constantly printing off the form and even mailing it in for them. It’s not even something you have to sell here. I’ve only had 2 rejections after they’ve read the proposed constitution, and those were people I wouldn’t want on my side anyway. They had kind of a liberal attitude, if ya know what I mean.
EBD re your earlier remarks about “red G-Edmonton” – gimme a break, there were 2 Libs elected last time, one of whom is now independent, both only squeaking in.
With respect to provincial politics, I’ll confess to voting “anything but” PC but only because we need an opposition. Klein’s “divine right” reign needs to come to an end (and he’s not so conservative these days anyway). Bring on Morton.
Andrew Coyne postes that he thinks a wait till Gomery finishes up is OK. I say, no-no.
Not being able to post at his blogsite is so frustrating so I sent him an Email outlining why a wait confronts law and the Governor General’s oath.
I sure wish he would write to the Gov. Gens. position in this mess. No journalist seems to look at this.
I don’t like the Globe and Mail so may have missed something there, but I seriously doubt it. The Nat. Post is my choice.
My note to Andrew is at BendGovernment.blogspot.com Be interesting to see if he counters my logic. He may choose to ignore the topic. preferring not to knock a teammate.
In any case Gov. Gen Clarkson just put her 1.5 mil house up for sale. She knows that we have a corrupt government holding power by way of fraud and blackmail.
If she fails to be true to her sworn oath, I would like to see her charged under the law.
Soon she will be seen as complicit with a fraudulent government.

Can’t sleep. Poked my nose in here again on the way to the kitchen.
Screechin’ Annie got elected right in the heart of Edmonton. That, together with the Liberal apologist Edmonton Journal allows me to casually toss around the moniker “Redmonton”. Plus, it’s where I was born and raised, back when it didn’t have an “R”.
Klein IS running on fumes now, and worse yet, they’re not his own — or anyone else’s, for that matter. His grin is becoming disturbing.
And yup, Morton is da man.
Sorry TG we started different tunes at the exact same moment.
…late breaking news…June 11 2005 1:30amMST…
I’m driving home from a batchelor party, caring little about the government for once, and guess what I have the pleasure of happining to listen to on cbc radio…
Please keep in mind I only wish I was making this up.
The cbc had a panel discusion with a member of SHAMnesty international regarding the horrorific destruction of SADDAM HUSSEIN’S…LEGAL!!RIGHTS!
You should have heard the way the panel host talked about the situation. “This is needed to make it LOOK like the iraqi tribunal HAS ANY LEGITAMACY!” This is a quote from a preson payed (proudly) with your tax dollars. This outrage has been generated by the same organization (and I am sure the same “person” on this radio “program”) who recently called the prison camp at GITMO a “system of detention centers reminiant of the GULAG”
Complete %100 anti-American propaganda.
Thanks for fanning the RAGE cbc…. yet again
Knight, I’m hoping (judging by the typos) that you were in a cab vs. driving -just an assumption, since you were at a batchelor’s party.
I hear you. I just watched “the national” and want to puke. Not much national about it, other than the decision by the talking heads that Duceppe would remain in fed politics.
Like there is NOTHING GOING ON HERE FOLKS…
God help us.
Like it or not, the religious groups are mounting a massive campaign, albeit in the shadows, against SSM. This will be the Libs undoing, and the Tories know it. They might not be out there yelling about it, but it is being discussed quietly on the doorstep, one-on-one. Nobody can pillory Harper if he did win and use the Notwithstanding Clause, given that there are murmurs that it might be used by the Libs re medicare. I get disheartened reading MSM, too, and Gidget Taber and Puff Duffy’s anti-Harper musings last night convinced me that MSM is a real threat to my health. We can post what we want, but how many of us will be out there with our Tory candidates on doorsteps or whatever, delivering the CPC message and winning converts? THAT’s how elections are won. The MSM is not a Tory’s friend. We have to count on ourselves and each other.
How many canadians are going to vote for ssm.
Some voters in toronto.
Some voters in vancouver.
Thats it.
Lets hope this becomes the libs undoing.
Doug, I really believe it’s being under-estimated by the Libs. And if they go ahead and ram it through, having lied about more consultation, protection of church – which even Cotler can’t guarantee – people will become outraged at the arrogance of the Libs. I don’t care what issue brings them down. Just let’s bring them to their knees and break the back of dependency the public has on the LPC.
Iron Lady; I agree with you we must get our message out ourselves – somehow. The MSM are bottom feeders who exist only because their ‘masters’ – liberal est. of Canada, backed by wacko jacko, throw them rot to write and pay them. They have been indocternated by Communist Profs at Communist universities and they have no interest in ‘the truth’, they are propaganda driven fanatics who sneer and laugh at the truth and those who tell it. They are vocal bullies with no real morals. It is essential that we get a media of some sort, in print, on paper. Many people do not know how to use the internet for news so we have to figure out a way to get the REAL news reported. I have suggested MASS mail – outs of The Western Standard. This excellent magazine is published twice a week, with a major monetary injection by Conservatives it would be forced to publish weekly. I know that Conrad Black gave up on Canada but he could afford to…all Conservatives in Canada cannot afford to move to England. (it would certainly change the political landscape on that little island though wouldn’t it?) We also need a T.V. channel T.V.defeated Conrade Black; I remember watching it all in horror. I do go door to door and it is amazing how people change their minds when they are confronted with facts. The media have people believing that the CPC are an affount to ‘better minds’, people do not like to be proven wrong with hard facts and they blame the outfit that fed them lies for making fools of themselves.
I think putting the entire CPC platform on CD/DVD, using the skills of the young CPCs to make it visually interesting, would help. People need it broken down into digestible ‘sound-bite’ size: the key issues, and how the CPC will address them. The public believes their taxes are going to health, education and pensions. They have no idea how much of it goes to LPC special interest groups and major corporations vis a vis corporate welfare. These are huge issues that most Canadians are unaware of. The CPCs must become more proactive, and use the creativity of young Tories to get the message out. I am tired of seeing a CPC caucus of old, grey, tired faces – I’m not talking about age here, just dejection. I suspect they feel they’ve been run over by the Lib juggernaut, which they have. But they have to shake it off and get a jump on the Libs, and drive home the SSM thing if that’s what their constituents want to hear.
I’m asking this just to make sure I understand – both reviewers were working with the original tapes, right? Oh, wait – they weren’t. And they came up with different conclusions? Conspiracy is definitely afoot.
Credibility (in any rational, objective sense) does not rest with the “experts” nattering over an alleged single edit in 4 hrs of taped conversation that criminally implicates a crown minister, party fuctionary and the PM in a vote buying conspiracy.
MSM placing as single tape glitch as the credibility broach in the issue is the public misdirect of the century
A further hit in “credibility” goes to the MSM who focus on this fly speck when it sits astride a steaming mass of government criminal corruption.
I sit in awe at Canadians capacity for crappy media….look what happened to Rather for running with a false story that just fit his general bias…no such thing in Canada…the government is the watchdog of our media’s conduct/licencing and we get about what we can expect from that incestuous relationship.
I consider it a capital crime to actually have to pay to be so badly propagandized by the media.
Who is game to research the appointed members of the board and chair of the CRTC?
