Parody Under Threat

Global warming is threatening the future of parody.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) – Severe weather caused by global warming can pose greater physical danger to women than men, a Canadian attending a UN conference on climate change said Friday.
“For instance, often women don’t know how to swim, so in a flood situation that can lead to a higher instance of death or injury,” Angie Daze, a program manager with a Canadian group called Reducing Vulnerability to Climate Change, said.

  1. Relax, it’s only a $3 million Canadian government boondoggle. Some of those Bangladeshi women will probably look good in swimsuits. There’s another $97 million where that came from. By the time they’re finished, all the Bangledeshis will have swimsuits, the Tuareg will have umbrellas, and Mongolians will be kitted out in slickers and rubber boots.
And of course, a whoooole lot of people in government, NGOs and assorted government and CIDA contractors are going to get cottages in the Gatineaus and Muskokas.

  2. You couldn’t make this stuff up. Daze, haze, smaze. We must be the international embarressment of the month
