I am reminded of the fantastic David Lean work; “Lawrence of Arabia” and the scene when Damascus is liberated from the Turks. Allenby (who was portrayed abysmally in the movie) cut off all power and water to Damascus when the Arabs thought they could run it completely by themselves. The whole place fell into anarchy and chaos that was only saved when the British stepped in to run it properly. I hope many of you have seen the movie or you should see it ASAP before some gauleiter in charge of what can be seen and what can’t decides that we shouldn’t be allowed to see it.

LOA is, in my opinion, one of the two best English language movies ever made. The other one is The Best Years of Our Lives.
Not only is LOA a great story, one which still affects us today, but it’s a masterpiece of film-making. David Lean could tell more with a single shot than with pages of dialogue.
AGREE! The scene in Dr. Zhivago when the mounted police attack the marchers. The incredible ability of Omar Sharif to convey the horror of what the camera didn’t show. Incredible work by Lean and one of his favourite actors!
One of my favourite scenes in LOA is when Lawrence (Peter O’Toole) suggests to Sharif Ali (Omar Sharif) that they attack Aqaba from the rear. The camera quickly shifts and zooms in on Ali’s face to capture his reaction.
That expression plus that shot, convey his thought that Lawrence had lost his mind. No words were necessary.
Once more with feeling, if you don’t or are unwilling to destroy your enemy your enemy will destroy you. How many people will take the time to list those who actually are our enemies? I know who they are and why they should be removed but must think that it could not be so.

It pains me to say that, I used to love regularly visiting Seattle, used to love the people there. One of my favorite memories is taking my girlfriend at the time to a god-awful Mariners/Rangers game in a near-empty Kingdome. We sat directly behind 5 elderly black men who kept us in stitches the entire crappy game. Where I don’t doubt these men actually did deal with some serious racism in their era, they exuded nothing but class and warmth to a couple of naive white Canadian teens. My, how times have changed.
It is satisfying though, to see the Dr. Frankenstein Dems being attacked by the very monsters they created. I understand this new Seattle sub-city has already turned on Seattle’s famously progressive mayor. To that end, I wonder if all the Hollywood libtards who just lost their jobs working on any and all ‘police shows’ feel at all betrayed by the very lynch-mob they helped create. The fringes of Seattle can’t be as bad, though politically, still left. Always enjoyed staying in Lynnwood, even Mt Vernon area.
