Showing Up To Riot

In the words of @KurtSchlichterEnjoy your New Rules. When you want to go back to the Old Rules, let me know. I’d like that. Until then, hey, consequences, player.

    1. Are you kidding, he dies a little each time he goes on twitter and sees his pinned tweet.
Every time he puts an opinion on twitter, it gets evaluated against his baseless claims.
This is just a nice little multiplier on the self inflicted misery of a leftist.
That pinned tweet as a settlement is far more deterrent than the money, especially money from someone in his positions who would probably be covered by some “social justice” organization.

Remember, someone else paid Sharptons judgement over Tawana Brawley and he carried on, but if he had to walk around wearing an apology shirt for a year it would likely have ended him.

      1. Sorry … having no interest whatsoever in Twitter, I don’t understand pinning from pining. I’ll take your word for it … that his ears have been pinned back, and he wears a Scarlet Letter.

        1. Kenji, Barret’s apology and admission of error is “pinned” at the top of his twitter feed. It stays there for however long his agreement with Gunn Reid specifies, it’s the start point for anyone who follows him to see. It isn’t a complete solution, but it’s a good thing.

  1. Shame there wasn’t two more zeros on that figure. An amount that could be paid, yet an amount that’s very painful.

  2. Sheila Gunn Reid is playing a winning strategy against people like David Barrett. This is much more effective than making a show of chasing down Ron MacLean with a camera and a binder with 90,000 signatures in a misguided attempt to help Don Cherry, who needs no one’s help to defend himself. Be a Don. be a Sheila. Fight back with a winning strategy. Win.

    1. I’m afraid you’re talking rubbish there, KC.
We need multiple approaches. Getting Mrs. MacLean to call Don Cherry a bigot on camera was priceless.

      1. Not rubbish at all, and I agree we need multiple approaches. Ambushing Ron MacLean like the Rebel reporter did is not one of them I support – it’s a waste of time and energy at best, and makes conservatives look stupid at worst. Glad you enjoyed it – you’re free to do so, just as I’m free to call it stupid. Under the usual understanding of the word, Mrs. MacLean may be correct that Don Cherry is bigoted – that is, quite intolerant of those who disagree with him, which may be unpleasant or unpalatable for some people, but it’s certainly not a crime. Mrs. MacLean could also be a bigot, but I would not know that, as she is not as public a person as Don, or her husband. Mr. MacLean is…well, I think we all know. Note that Mrs. MacLean was quite assured that Don is not a racist. She knows him better than any of us do, so I believe her, and agree. I don’t think he’s a racist either. But a bigot? Perhaps. Being intolerant of other’s opinions is okay, as long as you respect their right to have them, which I believe Don does. That’s freedom of expression. Sheila is demonstrably NOT a Neo-Nazi, which is why I support her fighting back the way she has. David Barrett had the freedom to call her that, and she made good on her right to ask him to prove his allegation, which he couldn’t – so he had to apologize – and pay up. On principle. Which is why I support Sheila’s winning strategy.

  3. Sorry – maybe I’m old. But the words of Hank Williams are ringing in my ears: “Anybody playin’ our music without our permission will be mighty good friends of our’n…” or words to that effect.

Me? – you want to call me a neo-nazi, fill your boots – I’ve been called worse, and sadly, I’m not a neo-anything. Anything you call me, I’ll call you something right back – and if you get triggered or offended, sucks to be you pal. The country has a crazy li’l thing called “free speech”, right? If I’d been the tribunal, or judge or whoever, I’d’ve told them both “you’ll split the court costs, and now get out of here before I fine you for wasting my time. Case dismissed!”

    1. You haven’t been paying attention then. The left instituted a whole lot of “hate speech” laws and tribunals and such.
Remember Ezra Levant spending years defending publishing the very newsworthy Danish cartoons? Around the same time Mark Steyn was hauled before the tribunal. Up to that point they had a 100% conviction rate.
We can not continue to play by the old rules while the left play by a set of rules in courts they control, we have to play within the new rules. Remember, you can not count on the left to observe principals, they only have tactics.

How far do you think an NHL team could get these days if they tried to stay with the old rules regarding two line passes?

      1. Mark and Ezra fought back, and won, early inspiring victories in the larger war.
As for new rules / old rules – remember if we become as awful as the enemy, then we have already lost. We must fight for positive principles that mean something. Like honour. Like family. Like free expression. Like freedom of opportunity. Fighting for what we know to be vital for both civilization and the natural world to prosper and flourish. If we forget what we are fighting for, and just fight in anger and frustration, we will become the enemy and will lose. It’s not as easy, but I’d rather win for something rather than just against something.

          1. Agree. The Allies certainly didn’t refrain from adopting Nazi tactis like close fighter-bomber supoort for tanks, massive overwhelming localised artillery strikes, heck even carpet-bombing around Caen, which (a) killed about 6,000 French civilians (who were on OUR side!) and simultaneously (b) ended Panzer Lehr overnight ..

Fukc sanctimonous bllu-hsit. I’m out for lefty fascist blood! It’s way past high time to make these Nazi wannabe’s SUFFER!

Let the D-Day Landings begin… And take no prisoners!

        1. A better approach might be to show them the folly of their new rules by making them adhere to their new rules.
They obviously can’t figure it out with logic and thought.
If logic and fighting honourably worked on them it would have worked already.
They are like simple animals: they respond to pain, not to high minded ideals and logic.
I’ll repeat it: If logic and fighting honourably worked on them it would have worked already.

And losing with honour hasn’t worked for us.
There might be a lesson in there too.

      2. So your brilliant strategy is to…be the left? These aren’t ‘new rules’ this is just the old ones.

        1. Yes. Once the Allies figured that out, the Fascists crumbled. Carpet bombing, savage armoured advances that blasted EVERYTHING in feld-grau on the way through. Alamein was actually the first time a Western Allied army set about BLASTING everything that moved on the enemy side of the lines, rather than just targeting military strong points.

The Caen campaign was absolutely beautiful. Tangential benefit Smashed Panzer Lehr (and actually 12th SS as well beyond recognition – thanks a stack, Monty!) killed 6,000 French civilians, and two things happened: the Nazi 7th army ran screaming back to the border, and the French worshipped the Allies as they liberated town after town. The Allies started winning when they finally accepted they weren’t in a cricket match.

I WANT to fight like the left does.

          1. This isn’t a war. You’re not ‘fighting’. The left isn’t fighting either. They’re winning a struggle of ideas against people (like you) who don’t really have any.

        2. So your brilliant strategy is to…be the left?
I seldom use the abbreviation, but this deserves an Oh, FFS.

    2. Sorry Y free speech in Canada no longer exists. Until we start standing right in face of those who would jail us and really give them a serious reason to leave us alone they will continue harassing and haranguing. My right to speak freely has been infringed upon regularly. I have been banned and censored many times in many places. The day someone knocks on my door to arrest me is the day I will die for free speech.

    3. Bah…unless you’re talking pitchforks and torches, y’all just blowing hot air. The time for playing by rules has long passed.

    4. I can’t tell if you’re saying this from the US or Canada. I’m saying what I’m saying from the US. I agree with you (and I think most people here do) that it’s better to have thick skins and give better than you get, but if as here we’re dealing with Canada, and they have rules that allow the left to attack you for hurt feelings, you need to attack them and as whichever unoriginal Alinsky comment applied, make them live by their own rules. It will be intolerable for them. And they deserve it til they agree to help us change the rules to something sensible. Your machismo is entertaining. And as I said above, I actually agree that it is the way it SHOULD be. But in Canada it’s not the way things ARE, so I applaud those who are taking advantage of it and imposing that stupidity on the other side.

    5. To. Ykbott. No. You’re an idiot who doesn’t know much, if anything. Ms Reid is a reporter, therefore a public figure. If someone calls her a Neo-Nazi this claim can tarnish her reputation and ability to earn a living as a reporter. Far different than I calling a random person the same thing. If you can’t figure that out then don’t comment.

      1. Best line of the day….LMAO.!

        Me either Buddy
        (_i_)hole…?? Without a doubt.
And I too woulda loved to see at least 1 extra zero on said fine (if not 2)

      2. Yes. Exactly. These are the words that we fight back with. Mockery and humiliation are some of the best weapons to defeat an enemy.

    1. A denizen of Calgary. A useful idiot of the climate hoaxers and Chinese communist party, paid good money by Nazis (the real ones who bankrolled the Holocaust, and are now plotting the extermination of the white race) to find reasons to justify destroying Alberta’s economy.

He claims to be a father and a dog lover. Let the gelded wonder get back to us on that with a DNA test, and may the dog find a better home one day.

  4. In Ezra Levant’s retweet of Sheila Gunn Reid’s victory, is included #6 which mentions a Robert P. J. Day that had some nasty things to say about Ezra and Rebel News concerning Rebel News raising funds for Ft. McMurry’s fires that devastated the areas.

scroll down here to numbers 49 and 56 for the money quotes:
    https://www.canlii.org/en/on/onsc/doc/2017/2017onsc5956/2017onsc5956.pdf

Robert P. J. Day had retained legal counsel Jeff G Saikaley for his defense, who “I think” may also represent Richard Warman with whomever he is currently suing.
It may be a tight group. If you’re not permitted to say in one group, “I don’t like people who wear leather” … it’s likely you’re not permitted to say this in any of their friend’s groups either.

So it’s important to recognize that although Sheila and Ezra appear to have won this time, those people, will return with their legal teams to shush your opinions in the formerly great country of Canada. They’ll be back, emboldened by whatever new legislation the federal Liberal/NDP coalition devises to shush you. And they will, the new people in cabinet have all aspired to “do something”. The British Columbia provincial gov’t is currently looking at devising a way to shush based on codifying “hate” and this is never, ever, going to go away.
The people in gov’t making these rules, are the winners of the university’s diversity and inclusion studies departments, the social engineers that were offended by not gaining dates in Uni, are now 2x offended that you’re not dating them after Uni.
They’re not going anywhere. They’re still fat and ugly and pissed off, and you are going to pay for this.

PS, when are the western provinces going to separate?

    1. “the new people in cabinet have all aspired to ‘do something’.”
Nice summation. These people, people who give honors to the likes of David Suzuki are seething with anger and we will all pay for that anger.

    2. If they were the intellectual giants they think they are they would understand that what they are doing is hate beyond any insult that I can possibly think of. You really have to HATE your fellow man to constantly be trying to enslave him/her in so many different ways.

    3. Ezra Levant.

      Actually fighting back.

      Beautiful.

I retract my “there are no remaining testicle owners in Canada” comment.

      A Canadian Conservative with cojones.

      And actually fighting back.

Take notice, Conservative Eunuchs of Canada.

Hoist your falsetto and do something!

      1. Ezra Levant & co.: fighting back by being snowflakes.

This is the perfect finale for Ezra’s free-speech posing. Never really meant it.

        1. You should look up the expression “hoist with his pwn petard”, but I doubt you possess the necessary comprehension skills.

          1. I doubt unmebot can hoist anything.
its an automaton, a digital device with its own IP address, programmed to spew under possibly hundreds of pseudonyms on as many blog sites.
as such, it doest have arms or any like grasping accessory. thus unable to lift anything but the bar on spew content.

  5. It’s cute how you and Schlichter keep pretending you get to ‘make the rules’ as if that’s what you’re doing. These aren’t ‘new rules’ these are the left’s rules and now they’re The Rules.

    1. Rules get changed all the time. I have started unfriending all the leftists I knew. I don’t eat out anymore (overpriced, crappy quality, and notorious employers of illegal migrants) I am very selective about where I shop and what I buy, and I am starting to think more and more about supporting far-right parties, because I know the more of us that do, the unhappier UnMe keeps getting! Beautiful!

      1. So in other words you’re in poorer and poorer mental health and more like to end up in one of ‘those headlines’.

  6. whats a pinned tweet?
does that make it stay at the front of the line?
can u tell I dont tweet?
did Ms Reid suggest to barrett if he redirect his accusation towards the antifa crowd she would let it pass?

    questions questions questions.

    1. Pinned tweets are posts that are set to stay at the top of the person’s feed, no matter what else they post. Anyone going to their Twitter account that isn’t going to a specific linked post will see the pinned tweet until it’s un-pinned.

As for the last question, that would be counterproductive. Redirecting it wouldn’t get the original post retracted, so the smear on her reputation would remain.

  7. I see Sheila is Canadian. Does that have something to do with her successful law suit? Because I would like to know the legal grounds for her success. It seems they get away with it 5 times a minute here in the US.
