    I have watched a few dozen of these #walkaway videos, I find them both very educational and strongly reinforcing of my personal beliefs of what progressivism truly is. As for Canadian voters, if there is a trend to #runthehellaway from Justin’s incompetent Liberal Party, I suspect the NDP would probably be the major benefactor.

    It’s tough supporting conservative ideals in Canada these days, there is no viable Conservative party to even get behind here in BC, and federally, Scheer seems to be as beholden to the ‘Eastern elitists’ as much as any career Liberal. The plight for true American Conservatives was much the same until a dedicated patriot named Donald Trump came along.

    One thread I have noticed throughout these #walkaway videos is fear…. not of Nazi Trump… but of their fellow Democrats. Virtually everyone I have heard came to their ‘moment of clarity’ on their own and reasoned for themselves that the left is packed with close-minded haters and bigots. Many had stories of friends and family angrily turning on them for ‘coming out of the closet’. To stand by your principals in the face of a life-altering negative backlash shows real character and I applaud every one of them.

    Soon, I think we will start to hear the word DEPROGRAMMING a lot in conservative circles as we discuss effective ways to free people of their severe close-mindedness caused directly by the intense propaganda they have been victimized by. Heck, there’s an idea right there, no lefty can resist the urge to play the victim card.

    1. The definition of leftist diversity and inclusiveness: everybody (i.e. all people, hence the diversity) must have uniformity of leftist thought (this is leftist inclusivity). Anyone who disagrees is a Nazi and will be sent to a socialist re-education camp!

      I predict the purge will start with the “white” “deniers”. With the aid of the UN and the ANC … “white” South African farmers will be summarily murdered for the “crime” of “causing harm to the native lands of native peoples, by forcing mother Gaia to produce feed for cattle”. Therefore … to “save” our very planet … these pale faced farmers must be ritually killed according to native tribal customs. All with the blessing of the UN.

I also have been watching a number of these videos over the past month and one thing that has struck me is that there was a reason that the Obama administration was so eager to institute the Net Neutrality Law. If that had been passed then these videos would have been censored. As it is we already know that there is a concentrated effort within Google, Facebook and Twitter to skew the conservative views in these venues. There is an effort by some governments to openly censor this ability to communicate. The socialists that many on the #WalkAway movement see as a danger would like nothing better than to shut down this electronic media. The examples of shutting down appearances of people like Milo, Ben, Ezra and others that have occurred recently should be recognized as a warning shot fired across the bow of the ship of freedom. The hard press have been in command of ‘news’ since Guttenberg’s time. In the last seventy years they have taken the lessons of Goebbels to new depths. They no longer report the ‘news’, they skew, slant, edit, alter, and omit at their pleasure. The electronic media that has arisen in the last ten years, available to the vast majority of the world’s population is a direct and immediate threat to them and their ilk. The #WalkAway movement is already under attack with the Left claiming that it is a Russian Bot operation. Nothing can be further from the truth. It is incumbent on each and everyone of us that believe in free speech to get behind this movement. Whether you live north or south of the 49th., it is of paramount importance that this movement and these videos are observed for what they are, a chance to break free from the indoctrination that we have unknowingly been bombarded with since the Sixties. You owe it to yourself, your friends, and your children to watch a few of these testimonials and spread the word.

      I now have 5,000 Friends who came to join and receive my thoughts. I also have a Blog, which I am not promoting through SDA; as yet.—- Facebook quickly set my Facebook pages as a Separate Group and actively support my Advertisise because they apparently put me in a “Circle of Similar Thinking People”.
      I fight this as best as I can and will continue. Just thought this may be New information for some. Cheers;

        1. I’m honestly completely stumped as to how net neutrailty would even begin to be used for censorship. It’s like saying the first ammendment is government censorship. If you have any sources that could explan this to me I would greatly appreciate it, because I can’t find anything whatsoever.

          1. Andrew, there are several questionable things in there. It’s like the HRC, first set up to arbitrate rent disputes and work problems, and then morphed into what it is today. One big item in that article is open to interpretation , and there in lies one problem. That it falls under government (statutory) laws, is another problem. Once the government gets involved, just think CBC. Like a typical lefty, you have very low comprehension skills!!!

The “tradional” media have violated the public trust, by ignoring the basic tenets of The Press. The People, empowered by the Internet, have completely bypassed the BIASED Press. So … what are the leftist politicians to do? Shut down The People’s voices. Control and censor the internet via “Net Neutrality” Laws.       Nothing frightens totalitarian regimes quite like Individual FREEDOM.

      The Left are doing everything in their power to SILENCE speech and freedom. They are DESPERATE to regain control of the narrative.

When it comes to immigration, diversity is the recipe for a country that stands for nothing with not a hope of having a cohesive society. We become a country of communities with no common thread, a recipe for disaster. Tribal warfare comes to mind.

Hey, what sane person could possibly object to Antifa thugs hitting Trump supporters over the head with bike locks or being told that white people should be “cancelled?” Hey, it’s not like Leftists would ever plant a few fake stock photos in order to discredit an entire movement.

  9. I “walked away” in the late 1980s when I saw the Politically Correct straightjacket descend. Amusingly, the lefty “intellgencia” looked down their noses at their unionist paymasters, with warnings before a meeting between them about how uncuth they were.

    This why the Dementocrats lose and one day, maybe in Canada too.

        1. I think in the 1970s and even the 1980’s there were still “old school” professors who had been educated in the ’40’s and ’50’s. They might have been predominately liberal, but they still had a high regard for Western Civilization. And they weren’t dragging left-wing politics into literature and history classes. I got my B.A. in the early 80’s and got a classical liberal arts education, with only a bit of Marxist lecturing from the young Baby Boomer T.A.s. Well, by the end of the ’80’s, the Boomer Marxists had taken over and that’s when P.C became a thing. I couldn’t believe the difference between my rigorous undergrad studies and the crap I had to read in grad school – Andrea Dworkin, really?

  11. Good for her! I am curious about what kind of political outlook she had to be readily transferable from Ron Paul to Bernie Sanders. Other than their “outsider” and “crazy uncle” personas, their views on most issues couldn’t be further apart. I can understand progressive fealty to unapologetic socialism embodied in Bernie over the thoroughly corrupt, evil and mercurial Mrs.Clinton but there is very little libertarian nor liberal with Sanders and his socialism. I wonder how much generational differentiation was involved given her Grandfather was a die hard Democrat until the end, her father was Republican and she was “independent”.

    I’m sure that it took courage to leave the jackbooted mobs of PC progressives. She seems well spoken.

    There is no cure for stupid. One day, they will all repent and go back to being socialists.

      If you can’t accept folks with differing opinions how do you expect to grow your base?

        Which group is more likely to be tricked and fall for it again?

        People who are walking away now were avowed communists, Hillary backers, full anti-capitalism, for what? 5, 10, 20, 40 years? Whole lifetime? In the long term, how reliable could they possibly be.

        All these people actually voted for Hillary, knowing Hillary’s history. I just doubt the cult thought is so easily over come. It will always be there in the subconscious. Subtlety influencing every decision. Slowly eroding logic and reality over time.

        1. That depends on whether you think people can learn or not. “Once bitten, twice shy” comes to mind. You will have a hard time finding people more critical of communism than those who escaped it or lost family members to it. It might have been good in theory (in a society of angels it would be expected), but only exposure to the true horrors it brings will open the eyes of some.

          Sure you have always been right..so how do you understand where the “wrong” people are standing?
          For communication to work you must find common ground, so in my opinion those who have been led far left and found their own way back have an advantage in reaching others still lost out there.

  16. The only proven, effective means fo destroying Communism is with bombs and bullets. The only reason the Left hates Nazis is that the Nazis got within a whisker of ending communism for good. Otherwise, when you look at the National Socialist agenda, it is classical modern Democrat stuff: collective innocence and guilt, damned races and groups, sterilisation, sexualisation of young girls, obsession with Islam, religous fervour, all manner of anti-humanist perversions, the Occult, etc…

    I used to be a leftie, until about 1995, when they staryed to become weird, and creepy, and all inbred-looking. Oh and once I started pulling a paycheck, you got really feel all your labour being handed over to some scumbag while he sat on a couch.

  17. Clearly your grandpa was a far-seeing man who never lost his courage. Nice to see his granddaughter takes after him noticeably! I like these walk away videos because for me, they put a face on individual (ex) liberals. Sometimes, in my frustration, you all seemed so bone-headedly monolithic and unreachable. Antifa in their damn face masks doesn’t help, of course, but there’s real people behind the SJW phenomena and what a pity so many live life so terrified. Thank God there are those snapping out of it, and thanks for your video, dear girl!

I was a fricking idiot in my youth and once I got my head straight, I became a far more committed true believer than some who had “known all along”. If you are living in an even nominally Christian country, then you should be familiar with the Damascus road conversion of the apostle Paul. He turned from the enemy of Christianity into its *biggest* powerhouse. It’s people like this young lady, waking up, that will power reason and conservatism well into the future. If I’m not right, then you might as well lie down and let the leftists take over, because if you can’t really change anyone’s mind by reason then our cause is lost anyway. With a sucker born every minute, as P.T. Barnum put it, they accumulate a lot faster than we do.

    1. Well said, Laurel. I was a liberal during the ’80’s, because I was a kid who grew up in a Democratic family (I’m an American) and I simply adopted the conventional wisdom. One thing that helped move me to the right (besides the Marxist profs I mentioned above) were a few conservative acquaintances I used to argue and debate with. They were very patient. They didn’t listen to my lame defense of the welfare state and say “Oh, to hell with you, nitwit.” They explained what they believed. Because I was willing to listen, I found what they said made sense. One of the books they gave me to read was “Prodigal Son” by David Horowitz, which blew me away. Horowitz had not just liberal, he had been a “Red Diaper Baby” and a ’60’s radical, until the murderous excesses of the Black Panthers turned him around. He’s become a strong conservative voice.

  22. Interesting she mentioned her granddad. My parents were married in 1940, and deliberately delayed their wedding until after the date for draft deferment for married men. Then, a year later, he left his job to join the RCAF, only to find his eyesight was lacking. Found a job in interior BC but tried again in 1942. As he told me, “my eyesight had miraculously improved during that year”. My father’s career was not so distinguished as that of her granddad, but only because of the postings the RCAF gave him. But, like her granddad, my dad signed up for the fight.

    As for my mother, she totally endorsed his entry into the armed forces, and was prepared for whatever ensued. As she said, at one point (and I paraphrase – it’s been many years), “I married him so that, when he came back, I could care for him”. He came back unscathed and they had many happy years together.

  24. Heartening to see the comments here concerning the Net Neutrality discussion. Whenever a government steps forward and says “We’ll fix it!” the hackles on the back of my neck stand up, even more so when that government is Liberal/Democrat/Left. The examples of Leftist government’s promises to fix things and then making matters worse are legion. The Awakening movement gives us hope that there is a growing number of people in America and by internet exposure hopefully a growing number of Canadians that will be less likely to accept “Buying a pig in a poke”. The Awakening movement is truly “Letting the cat out of the bag.”.
