2. they are trends that didn’t happen over nite, tho they have execellerated under the “I Won” fool, they did not START with him. We now need a president who will reverse this trend, and I don’t see one in the running

   Not necessarily a fool…it looks very deliberate..

   I don’t see one either but rumour has it that she is reconsidering……

4. They need both a president and a congress willing to take the steps necessary to turn the country around. It probably will not happen.

5. Rot from within has destroyed the greatest empires all through history. Same story, different actors. The average democractic lifespan of a country lasts about 200 years. We actually did well.

6. From a email I received many years ago and decided it was worth saving.
   At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new
   constitution, in the year 1787, Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history
   professor at The University of Edinborough) had this to say about “The
   Fall of The Athenian Republic” some 2,000 years prior.

   until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves

   majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits
