Not that I would admit to being romantic.. But I know it when I see it and its gone in modern movies.. Replaced with a feminist burlesque show.. Men dressed as women and women dressed as men.. The idea behind burlesque was it was supposed to be entertaining comedy, not compatible with romance or drama, action sort of thing..
What do we get?.. Pretty robots pretending to be movie stars.. Can you name a star you have a crush on?.. No, neither can I..
Everybody loves a half baked cause to jump out in front of.. Hollywood embraces the far left and we embrace its palliative care..

Just watched “How Feminism Ruined the Movies” and I agree with the added comment, that the last 60 years have not been so great at all for women. I say this as a university educated woman who was self-employed for over 25 years and also worked for others. Yes, I owned a business and bought a house on my own, but my greatest achievement was giving birth to my beautiful daughter and helping her become the beautiful woman she is today. I would have loved to do this while in a loving family with a father present but sadly that did not happen as he disappeared in a cloud of dust (and I had known him for over 10 years, so I thought I knew him) and he did not re-appear until she was 7 and then only showed up occasionally. However, he DID make me a mother and for that, I am grateful.
So before the previous 60 years, birth control was extremely difficult and domestic abuse common. Women were basically second class citizens. These last 60 years have been pretty great for women.

Andrew Klavan is spot on. Women in film have been reduced to cartoon characters with inhuman characteristics. There isn’t a female actress today that I admire. None. And B.Momma … that was a beautiful sentiment you expressed about your daughter. You’re a woman with her values in order. And I would have thought the leftist cretin UnMe would have praised you for being such a successful single mother, as his type HATES fathers and intact two-parent families. Oh well, I don’t really expect consistency from leftists.
Prior to the birth control pill … women were put on pedestals, and men had to vie for their affections. Women were far more selective in their choice of men, because the pair bonding meant reproduction and marriage. Now, marriage is near dead. Women used to be treasured by men … now they are just c()m dumpsters (sorry, that’s not my attitude – ever). And there is another little medical detail that has been left in the fine print, that women SHOULD be WARNED about in capital letters … birth control can cause brain bleeds. It happened to my wife. I will never forget standing in the emergency room … looking at my wife’s brain scan and seeing a huge black spot in her brain … and hearing the neurologist tell me how bad it could be. Fortunately for us … the bleed stopped … and she never had any further symptoms than numbness in one of her feet.
My “starter wife” and I got together primarily because of the sex. She was a beautiful little minx. We got married … she got bored … she was certifiably NUTS … ended up changing her first and last name to something bizarre is all I can say… and left me without so much as a hint or warning. Just completely flipped. I learned my lesson and found my “final wife” at church and based our relationship on love and devotion … that was 41 years … and 3-kids ago.
