Independent Farmer Sighting!

Oh noes! CBC’s Theresa Kliem has found a farmer whose unhappy with the SaskParty budget! Glenn Wright is “a climate activist, farmer and lawyer in Saskatoon.” Somehow, the photographer captured him standing before a field without snow.

“Really this budget has nothing to offer by way of trying to address our climate crisis,” said Glenn Wright, who grows a variety of crops on his farm near Delisle, west of Saskatoon.

“It’s worse than that because it perpetuates this business-as-usual.”

Wright looked for words such as greenhouse gas or emission, but couldn’t find either of them, he said.

Well, I looked for words such as “NDP candidate for Rosetown Elrose SK provincial riding”, and I couldn’t find that either.

I wrote an email to Ms. Kleim a few minutes ago. I await her explanation.

    1. Yes.
Having said that, the family walks the talk, and I respect them for that.
I think they’re beliefs are misguided but each to their own…right up to the point where “each to their own” becomes “you must do this”.

  1. Hey he only lost by about 70% to the Sask Party candidate. He’s a true man of the people, ear to the ground, finger on the pulse of his constituents, blah, blah.

  2. Good old CBC with its usual unbiased, straight up news reporting ,with commentary from experts giving their trusted opinions from all sides of an issue ,which includes communists, marxists, maoists, leninists, socialists, anarchists and liberals

    1. Quite right, Mr. Greg. The problem is not with Mr. Wright. People are free to hold whatever opinions they want about whatever they wish. And campaign on them freely if they can find others who share their beliefs.

The problem here is the CBC, caught lying again in the same old way. This is a big part of the reason so-called “Man on the Street” interviews were discarded as unreliable. News organizations simply filtered out all the interviews that didn’t support their narrative or failed to disclose the affiliations of those who were ringers.

The problem is that the legacy media have made themselves the public enemy.

  3. Well, Glenn Wright has a “unrelenting fear of climate change” or “Saskatchewan grain farmer Glenn Wright says he’s exhausted from trying to inspire others to care about climate change. He wants more government action.” or “unrelenting anxiety over climate change” depending on which version of the CBC propaganda you look up.

Or when he’s wearing his hairshirt, he gets CBC to publish this drivel about “polarization”

“As an advocate for the fight against climate change, Saskatchewan farmer and lawyer Glenn Wright often experiences the polarization first hand.
“In the farming circles, I see many people feeling threatened,” he said.
“A lot of them can’t envision a way to grow our food without the connection to fossil fuels, whether that is fertilizer that’s applied or whether it is diesel fuel to run their tractors and combines.”
Wright farms between Vanscoy and Delisle, southwest of Saskatoon.
He is very outspoken about climate change, which has led to estrangement from some friends and family members.
“I’ve been subject to personal attacks,” he said.
“I have pushed the issue at family discussions and at Christmas time to the point where I’ve seen some of my relatives get upset and push themselves up from the table to get up and leave.”
Wright said he hopes the polarization will not last forever.
“Am I going to take any pleasure in 20 years from now saying I told you so? Probably not.””

Or you can see that he “was sent” to COP26 by the NationalSocialist Farmers Union:

    1. “I have pushed the issue at family discussions and at Christmas time to the point where I’ve seen some of my relatives get upset and push themselves up from the table to get up and leave.”
And they should because you’re a dick.

      1. If I was at his family gatherings, I would just ask him to eat outside since it is now so warm due to the climate emergency.

      2. Why doesn’t he transition?.. Far more victomology left under his pants.. Get with it Miss!

    2. “Am I going to take any pleasure in 20 years from now saying I told you so? Probably not.””

Definitely not. You will be trying to forget you ever said any of this stuff, along with thousands of other climate alarmists. The real scientists are telling us, and have been for some time, now, that the earth is cooling. Greenland’s ice has increased, not decreased, as has the Antarctic ice. Antarctica has been cooling since the 1970s already. And look at the cold and snow all over the northern hemisphere this winter, breaking many longstanding records. Even in the SH the summer has seen record low temperatures. But the MSM refuse to report on any of this stuff. They just double down on the narrative and blame the cold and snow on global warming.

Check out Electroverse.info for weather reports from around the world every weekday. Fascinating stuff happening that the TV will never let you see.

      1. I am old enough to remember Al Gore’s message of doom and gloom.
        Clearly he is not.

    1. And the plaid shirt.

No farmer has ever worn anything but. Going back like a thousand years.

  4. He has nightmares about the carbon footprint of the Delisle area, it’s really cranking the global thermostat.

  5. “Engineer”. There was always a few outliers in class back in the day. Front row dweebs.

    1. Engineer. Mill Manager at McLean Lake. Hobby farmer.

He must have attended University after Professor Eric Davis retired at the U of S. He was an environmental engineer, and was prescient in his statement that “Global warming was the greatest scam in scientific history”.

I have met other younger indoctrinated engineers who buy the “climate change” b.s. I guess they no longer teach engineers to think for themselves anymore.

Although most of them simply jump on the band wagon to fleece the unsuspecting customer base which is largely governments.

    1. Uranium mine and mill both. It’s one of the richest uranium mines in the world in terms of ore yield.

      1. I thought hippies didn’t like anything nuclear. An Ndp farmer out here is pretty rare about as rare as a French war hero

  6. And Friends of CBC wonder why so many of us want the propaganda organization defunded!

The description of the faux farmer should be: NDP candidate,Lawyer, climate activist and lastly….. farmer, if he even meets the criteria for that.

    1. He has a veggie patch back of his house. Enough substance for a CBC stenographer. All subsidies to all media should be abolished and permanently banned. Nothing good comes from a Government that buys the Media.

  7. L – What % of his income is from farming and how many acres vs.
the % from his Ur. company job at McLean Lake? Which involves flying
in there for half of every month.

I’m guessing he’s a hobby organic farmer, which is a fine hobby.
But clearly the old farmer/labour party died off years ago. If climate
warming is his fear. He really should be starting to farm up near
    McLean Lake.

Killing off the economy with taxes, high energy prices and de-industrialization… What a plan!

  8. McClean Lake mine is uranium. Nuclear should be promoted as a carbon-free (if you believe that idiocy) energy source. Maybe he is just shilling to get federal money for his mine . . .

  9. I wonder if he drives a diesel or a gas-powered truck to the climate-emergency meetings?

  10. If he is concerned about the environment he should turn his attention to the urban impact on it.
Pavement, cement, noise and wires everywhere.
Perhaps we need some rural planners to go and tell them how to live.

  11. Another waste of time and money from CBC.
Propaganda, and propping up their preferred candidates.

On another note….thanks for the blast from the past!! I recognize so many previous posters names: Texas Canuck, Jema 54 and OMMAG, just to name a few.

  12. Given that the author Theresa Kliem has used the “Farmer” in multiple stories, it’s fair to ask what their relationship is.

  13. If thats the equipment he harvests with on his Twitter account, that garbage has no emissions control on it.
These meatheads underlying motive is to put the screws to farmers that have done well for themselves. That damn envy never subsides, they are still crying for CWB. You can’t have a producer selling his wheat for more than he is, that’s just wrong.
Its all the same shit blah blah blah, communist scumbags

  14. “Am I going to take any pleasure in 20 years from now saying I told you so? Probably not.””

Would he have the fortitude to admit he was wrong and everything that goes along with that, were it disproven?
Was the Sahara always a desert?
Was Greenland always covered in ice?!

  15. He looks way to clean to be a man of the land. Shirt and jacket are new.
I’ll bet he’s not wearing pants in that photo, let alone jeans and rubber boots.

  16. We have a neighbour like that. Belongs to the national farmer union and still laments the loss of the wheat board. He writes the type of letters that get published in the Western Producer. He losses sleep over climate change but still raises evil cows. Nice guy if you can keep him off politics but it eventually always goes there. His farm is dying because he has not progressed with the times.

  17. This phoney little peckerhead has about as much chance of winning the Rosetown-Elrose constituency as I do and I’m not even in the running. RedPop was 100% accurate as to why this waste of oxygen is not exactly popular at family gatherings.

  18. /Spit-take warning/
Don’t be consuming any liquids while reading the CBC’s forthcoming response (sure) they could purposefully add “treasures its role as an objective news service.” like CP did in 2007.

  19. Glenn ran in Biggar for the NDP in 2011. Locals don’t think much of Glenn.
    Sent you a message Kate.

  20. Contribution in kind to the ndp/Liberal party.

Remember, pollievre promised to scrap the cbc. He better be truthing about that.
