  1. With Anthony Albanese as PM it could be from the frying pan into the fire.

Reminds me of a game show joke – 1st prize: one week’s vacation in Philadelphia. 2nd prize: Two weeks in Philadelphia.

  2. Blackie is happy that now Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are run by socialist prime ministers.

  3. The former Commonwealth is under the jackboot of the Globalist cabal.

There are no “Conservatives” ( Michelle Rempel, O’Stool, Morrison ) there are no “Liberals” ( Turdhole, Freeland the Nazi, Karina ( psychopath) Gould, Mark the maggot Mendecino etc. etc. etc. and of course, Jughead the Separatist… they are all on the same team, the Post Nation State team from Davos.

The “Commonwealth” has been poisoned by creepy depraved hate filled Globalists at the politicial, academic and corporate media levels.

All Australia did was vote for a different gang of Globalists so they will get exactly the same ideology that the Conservatives rammed down everyones throats, more Globalism, more authoritarianism, more Agenda 2030, more division, more hate, more “immigration”, more inflation, more climate fascism and more bio medical terrorism.

Most Australians, like Canadians will have nothing and like it.

The Globalist politicians war on their own countrymen continues.

    1. That quote’s background is interesting. Fields was an old vaudevillian, and for reasons I don’t know, they all hated playing Philadelphia – the going phrase was “I’d rather be dead than in Philadelphia”. So Fields specified that quote to be the epitaph on his tombstone; sadly, he did not get his wish.

  4. ‘….. the second most draconian pandemic policies in the world.’
Each state in Aust is responsible for its own lockdowns and pandemic policies, not the Fed govt.

    1. Yes, but the Federal Government could have used Section 51 of our Constitution to put an immediate end to the nonsense. Instead Morrison sat on his hands like the weak kneed Globalist puppet he really is. I am a life-long Liberal party voter and for the 1st time voted against them (but not for the ALP). I 100% voted based on the fact of the coercion and mandating of flu shots against peoples will and the taking up of the net zero policies that will ruin this country financially. In Australia we have a virtually Duopoly thanks to our compulsory preferential voting system. The Liberal And Labor Parties (think Republican/Democrat respectively) have become the LibLab Uniparty. A pox on box their houses

    2. Iggie – the Feds controlled the borders, not the states.

remember the pissing match for the tennis at the start of the year? That was the Feds throwing their weight around because Victoria had gone behind their back.

There got so shirty at the entire affair the deported Novak on the grounds that him being healthy and covid free AND un-vaxxed would encourage other people to not get the jab. This was during a time that while the jabs were being heavily blackmailed onto people and a requirement for some industries, they were still NOT COMPLUSORY.

Think about that. Novak was never proved to be a health risk. He was rejected because he MIGHT change people’s opinion on a topic that was still optional.

Morrison was also the person who brought in the National Cabinet (or whatever they called it) that effectively elevated the state leaders into positions of more importance at National Level than the people actually elected at National Level to serve the people. You know, the members and the senators.

And, if the States did all the lockdowns, then why were the Feds trying to use their ‘Covid Response’ as a talking point? Is ‘in charge’ only a thing when they want it to be?

      So yeah, ya WRONG, Iggie.

      1. No – the Feds are responsible for immigration. I believe he should have allowed in too, but that’s not the point. The states did their own lockdowns when and where they thought necessary but the Feds control who comes in.

  5. Morrison has been replaced with something worse.

    These “conservative” politicians never learn.

  6. Iggie, Morrison stood by whilst the Australian states (esp Victoria and Western Australian) brought on North Korean grade lockdowns.
He also said there would be no vaccine mandates (which there were) and, made no mention of committing to net zero CO2 until just before the Glasgow COP.
Starting as a conservative, he then wandered left off the reservation and did not deserve reelection.
Unfortunately Labor is far worse and I expect here in Oz we will be seeking utopia like Canada and NZ.

    1. Utopia like Canada? where the Federal Government froze the bank accounts of single mums because they donated $50 to the Truckers Freedom Rally? You gotta be kidding right. I was in Vancouver in January and they were still running around fretting if you didnt put a mask on.

    2. What else could he do – he didn’t have the constitutional power to fight the states. He had the AZ vaccine being made in Australia, enough for everyone, but some states refused to accept it (Qld in particular). Admittedly he wandered off and deserved to be hammered. But now we have the Greens controlling the debate in the Senate so hold on to your hat when the carbon tax hits.

    1. If they did vote for liberty from draconian covid lockdowns, then the state Labor govts of Victoria and WA should be in heaps of trouble – but they’re not.

  7. Well, maybe it really didn’t have that much to do with pandemic policy. Is there any reason to think it would have been any less draconian under Labour? And Iggie is right. The federal measures (like travel restrictions) were appalling, but in terms of widespread impact they had nothing on, say, Victoria’s measures.

From what I hear, the biggest factor was that voters absolutely hated Morrison and many weren’t willing to hold their noses. In Sydney, for example, there was a big swing towards independent candidates. Another factor, and no one here is going to like it, is that the Liberals/coalition weren’t seen as credible on the environment.

It probably didn’t help that right before the election the Intertubes were on fire w/ a video of Morrison flattening some poor kid on the pitch in a photo op gone wrong. That would have perfectly cemented his image. The Liberals knew going in he had terrible negatives, so I don’t know why this is such a shock to them.

  8. I really wish it was true, that Morrison’s defeat had to do with the lockdowns. It certainly had to do with how I voted! Sadly though, I think it had minimal impact. Australia is much more open now than Canada, and for most people the lockdowns are a distant bad memory to be forgotten as quickly as possible.

  9. And once again a MSM source refuses to call the Australian Liberals “Liberals” or even the “Liberal-Coalition” but some crap like “conservative government”. [Just “coalition” at the link from what I saw.]

  10. The Ozzie “Consrevative” government was just like here, being a Uniparty globalist one – all in favor of lockdowns and global warming and “progressive” policies.

  11. He can enter the APBBOICL golf tournament.
The Asshole Politicians Booted Because Of Insane Covid Lockdowns Golf Tournament.
He can partner up with Jason Kenney.

  12. I’ll sum up the vast majority of comments.

    Every Western Homosphere
Politician, Their underlings, Their Supposed Medical “Experts” …and their enablers, the MSM: 100% Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity…re the Vid. (any aspect)

    Those in Vocal opposition..?
    .00005%

Fking NAZI -WEF bought n paid for inbred subhuman garbage…

  13. To say Australia elected Albanese is “ sort of true”!
The Labor party attracted just over 30 percent of primary votes.
    Hardly a ringing endorsement!
In my own electorate, minor conservative parties attracted a combined 20 percent and the conservative sitting member no swing against him.
Most votes were lost from the left and informal votes were over 8 percent.
It is the case that affluent urban Australia is determined to make rural and regional Australians pay to ease their carbon conscience!

    1. Libs received 35.7% of first preferences.
Labor received 32.8% 0f first preferences.
It’s Aust preferential voting that causes the distortion. In each electorate, the party coming on top after the first count do not get another chance. All the voters who voted for other parties can get their votes counted again for their second preferences. So some get one vote only, others can get two or more votes. So much for one person, one vote.

  14. Hmmm… let us have a look at the Dot Points from the National Post article.

(also – using BIG L Liberals here. That is the party name. Nominally “conservative” but tend to drift soft left if you take your eye off them.)

Economy: yeah pretty much. Unemployment is oddly low, especially with so much lockdown bollocks. Your State May Vary as the lockdown rules were different. Victoria was pretty much a total basket case with evidence of many companies deciding not to take out leases in the Melbourne CBD. Retail and hospitality… sort of on the up. Think they will take years to rebuild. In my home city it is easy to find ‘For Lease’ shops in the retail areas. Think basically people decided they REALLY needed the money and the employers really needed the workers, but all still seems a bit fragile.

Climate: Bollocks. The average Australian has shown in elections for the last 15 years they don’t really give a toss about Climate. The Green vote has not shifted and have been what it always has been: 9 to 11% Many people feel ‘Something Should Be Done… by someone who is not them’ on climate but very few want to open wallets. Net Zero currently gets a pass because people think the Government will just do it and it won’t cost them a cent. Once the bills start coming in (again) there will be push back.

Foreign Policy: The Liberals have actually been very pro-active on this, announcing many defence projects and being part of AUKUS. Problem is most people don’t see this as a great issue. Foreign Policy is for Foreign Places and out of sight out of mind. Labor are not exactly kneeling in front of China with an open mouth, but have looked a few times for the best places to get quality knee pads.

Personally I am most worried about this part.

    Character: Nat Post is wrong.

Sco Mo was a useless fence sitter who wanted to be everyone’s happy jolly friend and ended up coming across as a prick.

An Al is a useless prick who wasted the last three years as the Leader of the Opposition. He farced his way through the election campaign not being able to answer questions on his own talking points and running around from press conferences. He also faces claims he is a soy who lets the Mean Girls network run the party. He also also faces claims his entire sales pitch is the guilt trip sob story that he grew up with a single Mum in a council flat and had to walk ten miles each way through chest high snow just to get to school each day, but only after he had first cleaned road with tongue. As a since of how useless he is believed to be, Sco Mo was the ‘preferred PM’ in most of the polls coming into the election despite the fact that even conservatives hate Sco Mo.

I feel most people regard this as the reset we need to have. The ALP seems to have gotten a minor swing AGAINST it in the primary vote, while the Libs lost votes to the new small ‘protest parties’. This seems to me that the ALP are not considered a solution, but more that Sco Mo is considered a prick and people were no longer willing to put up with him.

Under Australian systems you can’t get rid of a party leader unless they have a big failure (like losing an election). The voters elect the members. The members elect the party leader. (think Canada is similar??). So voting Libs and having them form government would only give 3 more years of fence sitting and refusal to make decisions (and cringe – Sco Mo did cringe well) and then maybe 3 more years after that.

Protest voting and taking the hit of 3 years of ALP corruption before the Circle of Voting Life changed the government again, but with a Liberal leader who didn’t suck, seems to be a risk many people were willing to take.

OR – they believed the Protest Parties would help them and stuffed up the preference votes.

Dunno – need to get a hard look at how the senate voting went to get a good view on how the voting public was thinking.

    1. I hear you – oh, so loud.

Our last election, I seriously considered voting “other” – don’t know who I’d’ve voted for, but NOT the oaf who’s our current P.M. and NOT O’Fool. O’Fool STANK – all of Harpo’s vices, none of his virtues (if Harpo had any) and a complete, confessed and multiply-demonstrated “conviction-free, just Vote for ME!!!” zone. Whither the Country? – wherever O’Fool has to promise to go to put him in power. “I will CANCEL the Carbon Tax – or at least, I’ll change the name…” Just like Johnny Cretin – “Read my lips, I WILL scrap the GST!” Canada has too many lying, opportunistic commie politicians, O’Fool, we don’t need more. My #1 priority for three elections now has been to rid the country of Little Potato, but it was clear that O’Fool would’ve been worse. I voted Con anyways – it was clear by then that nobody else liked O’Fool either, so I was pretty sure he wouldn’t get in.

  15. In Australia, health and Covid policies are decided by the states, not by the federal government.

In Victoria (Covid-totalitarian Labour state government), the vote for federal Labour went up.

In Western Australia (Covid-bedwetter Labour state government – closed internal borders), the vote for federal Labour went up.

Voters for the nominally independent Teals who won half a dozen seats off the National Party in the richest and poshest city suburbs appear to perfectly fit the demographic of Covid alarmists. The Teals are a new Climate Change party (in all but name) for wealthy, well-educated and socially well-connected women (also bankrolled by a wealthy renewable energy “entrepreneur”).

I am just hoping this does not give Comrade Ardern ideas…

As for Climate Change, all the main parties in Oz now support it, even the farmer’s party (National). The outgoing government forgot that Climate Change is a fashion contest which can only be won by its most glamorous advocates. When the Liberal Party last campaigned on an anti-Climate Change ticket (under Tony Abbott), they won a stonking majority.

This time around, both government and opposition didn’t discuss Covid or Climate Change during the election campaign. Uniparty politics. The government played to lose.
