Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Let them sweat in the dark.
Wanna bet the elite do not suffer enough to dim even one light bulb?
well. that’s ’cause there be nuff dim bulbs in their orbit already.
(couldn’t pass up on it!!)
High jargon to say that they will be maintaining fossil fuel generation to keep from going dark.

p.s. they got the flag wrong.
all that green needs to be replaced with scorched stumps and
solitary standing chimneys.
keep it up californicate, you are the undisputed champion oracle re things to come.
The use of EVs has put immense stress on the grid. Massive failure to plan. PV with battery back up and natural gas back up is incredibly cheap now. Much cheaper than natural gas or nuclear alone.
As usual politicians are behind the curve. I am installing more solar and home ev chargers in alberta and Saskatchewan and the economics are getting shall we say interesting. Our laws around net metering are ridiculous. It would be nice to democratize power generation and reduce the monopolistic hegemony of government and big energy and give us more freedom and control over our own energy and costs.
What worries me is that nowhere in the CAPUC or PG&E is there an electrical engineer. They’ve all retired and been replaced with “Environmental Studies” graduates … who are on the same intellectual and knowledge plane as “Afro-Studies” graduates. They don’t know shit.
That’s right. And all the best electrical engineers want to work for Tesla, spacex and grid scale solar and battery storage. Conventional energy gets the dregs.
