Predictions on How/When This Will End?

In this very interesting discussion, Ezra Levant shares his predictions on how the Canadian Freedom Revolution is going to come to a successful end and much quicker than anyone realizes:

If Ezra is correct, I must confess that the impetus for this ending coming via an external source is one I would not have predicted but his logic seems very sound.

There is a strong counterpoint to Levant’s theory.  It’s one I’ve heard from several different sources.  Here’s a piece by Alexandra Bruce of why Trudeau or his successor will not succumb to the demands of the Freedom Protest anytime soon. h/t “J West

Finally, here’s a comprehensive analysis of all of this by Giles Hoffmann. h/t Brian

Whatever occurs, it’s going to take agreement from two parties for this all to end:

  1. The federal Canadian government and all (most?) provincial governments
  2. The truckers and other protesters

Who precisely constitutes group #2 is quite nebulous since this is a truly authentic grassroots campaign.

Several days ago, I summarized my own ideas into a two-part list of requirements that I think should be met before things end:

  • Minimum requirements that are non-negotiable
  • A list of additional things that should occur

I’ve deliberately held off on publishing these ideas because I think it’s much too early.  My individual thoughts are unimportant; it’s the ideas of those on the frontlines that matter.  But if the protesters were to ask you for your ideas on the Non-negotiable and Negotiable requirements, what would you tell them?

    1. Kenney will need to stop having his hissy fits first. His relentless and malicious persecution of pastors must stop.
He must also stop acting like his poo is air purifier and go meet with the people in Coutts.

    2. Kenney is toast very soon he has a Leadership review and he will be gone. He is taking the Conservative Party in Alberta down lower than the NDP now.

    3. The Liar Kenney’s lips are moving. He’s either lying or he’s working an agenda to his advantage.

Do not trust him for a split second.

  1. Among the non negotiable: severe punishment for every thug directly or indirectly involved in sabotaging the excavators or any damage to protesters’ property. Don’t ask me how severe…

  2. Vax mandates have to remain, that’s their hill to die on. They have given all they need to already, their base won’t accept any more loosening. The truckers will go on like the yellow vests. Public opinion has moved and hardened.

    1. Respectfully disagree. They will abandon vax passport and move on to digital ID because the medical angle was too much for the public to swallow right now. We already use the digital IDs with apps like STOCARD and anything else you use for points.

      https://www.ontario.ca/page/digital-id-ontario

Eventually everything will be tied to the digital ID globally.

  3. One of the demands I’ve read from the protestors in Alberta is that a law gets created so we can’t have these lockdowns ever again. I think this is unreasonable because nobody can say what situation may come up in the future. Instead, I propose something slightly different. I call it the “All in this together” law. It’s really simple. In order for a government to instigate any sort of lockdown measures which hinder the ability of their constituents to make a living, they must first suspend all pay to themselves and all other civil servants in the constituency.
This would be a way to determine when lockdowns are really necessary and when they’re just clowns drunk on power.

    1. I think this is unreasonable because

Irrelevant. It’s a basic principle of Canadian law that future parliaments cannot be bound by previous ones. Any law enacted can be repealed or re-enacted by any future parliament. The only way to truly prevent this from happening again is to rewrite the Constitution and the Charter, which is impossible because Quebec (and every other special interest group) will hijack the process to demand more concessions.

    2. While I like the second idea,I disagree with the first.
If our fearless leaders declare emergency, they must provided evidence of said emergency.
      Or they hang.
Covid-19 turns out to be a nonemergency.
Yet the “State of emergency” continues.
      Hang them all.
These are people too stupid to hold responsibility and too dangerous to release back into civil society.

  4. Robert … here is what’s absolutely non-negotiable for me. No future “health emergency” shall ever be subordinated to an unelected “Health bureaucrat”. No future “health emergency” shall ever be under the sole control of the Executive Office. All future “health emergencies” shall be controlled by The Peoples House of Congress/Parliament. Open to debate and free exchange of science. All science. .

    1. No. More than that.

The dictates of bureaucratic agencies do NOT henceforth have the power of law!!!

Enough of judges and unelected bureaucratic agencies operating under omnibus “laws” that have in all but name surrendered the will if Parliament to “experts” and “technocrats”.

  5. The only agreement worth reaching is one where the leadership of federal, provincial and local government surrender all their powers and agree not to interfere with what replaces them.

The only guarantee they should get is a fair and speedy trial.

    1. Oath of allegiance to kings of Castile (Spain)

We who are as good as you, swear to you, who are no better than we, to accept you as our king and sovereign lord, provided you observe all our liberties and laws, but if not, not.

      J.H Elliot, “Imperial Spain”

  6. Lets be honest-Blackie is Biden’s little bitch. Since the beginning of WuhanFlu canaduh policy has been made in Washington DC. We are no longer a sovereign country.

I believe Ezra’s thesis will come to pass.

  7. One thing possibly overlooked is that the Spawn is most reluctant about loosening the Stalinism not because of public health reasons, even though there are none remaining, but because of his determination to carry through with the “Build Back Better” agenda of his WEF comrades. He can’t imagine a “recovery” that doesn’t involve his Butt’s designed, Soros engineered, Green New Deal, dystopian authoritarian orgy. Granting a return to more freedom is antithetical to his sociopathic nature. Ezra may be correct about Biden / Psaki giving him an “out”, but will he take it? The Spawn may not want to go out before spilling blood like the deranged POS that he is.

  8. “[Trudeau] hates the unvaccinated more than he loves his country.” — Candice Malcolm, True North”

True. He thtampth hith little feet but they won’t do what he thayth.

  9. I don’t see this ending peacefully, Trudeau will never give in to the convoy’s demands.

    Obviously, I hope I’m wrong.

    1. Then reprisal attacks will, at some point, begin. All cops have homes. Many have families. Some cops are c8nts. They (and/or their families) will end up under merciless assault if this goes tits up.

I’ll take “History of Revolutions and Social Unrest” for $1,000 please, Alex.

  10. The barrier is, as Ezra pointed out, that most of the mandates and restrictions are Provincial not Federal.
Travel mandates and restrictions are ‘negotiable’ by the Fed. Gov’t. Other irritants to the truckers are fuel costs and over regulation of the industry (as viewed by the truckers).

    1. Technically true but provincial mandates HEAVILY financed by the Federal Government.

Fact is, if Trudeau demands the lessening of some mandates, the premiers will comply.

  11. How bout we have no goverment subsidized media. By all three levels of govermnet and corporate monopolies which create conflicts of interest.

    Tech company monopoly break up!

Independent clinical trials for big pharma with no immunity from civil action.

    Its a start.

  12. Mandate issues aside the larger societal problem we will face is our governments working towards a totalitarian all controlling form. The Weinsteins streamed a great analysis of what the USA has updated itself into with the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, and now by Homeland Security, in its crackdown on mis-, dis-, and mal- information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nfhg1PcTync

The denial of this possible shift or the lack of “mass psychosis” afflicting society’s perception of reality is amongst other psychological afflictions bringing it about, is the expectation that if it was truly happening “brown shirts” would be marching down the streets.

History always always rhymes. Thanks to the internet giving us the false belief that we are somehow so much more enlightened because we have seen so much of human history including the documentaries detailing Stalin, Hitler, Mao, etc., evil, we WILL see it coming because we WILL recognize it we watched on the History Channel.

With the internet giving us access to every societal flinch in real time, we further fool ourselves into thinking that we will see the shift happening in front of our enlightened eyes. We WILL see the town square King’s decree outlawing witches, or wall and lamp posters declaring Jews othered because MSNBC, CNN et al will let us know what is happening with the truth.

My father who survived Nazi occupied Poland taught me that the walls, now phones, fridges, have ears and eyes. The Ministry of Truth, now Twitter via a supercomputer run algorithm curates what was printed in only a few papers read by all, but LED screens.

Tyranny no longer has a homogeneous pressed pleat uniform. It has evolved. The brown shirts now wear chinos and have laptops and live amongst us, and not in barracks. It has no borders

Need to turn off the electricity

    1. History rhymes?

No, it certainly repeats itself, as we are seeing.

Should this end without bloodshed, the powers that be will not agree to be inquired, tried or otherwise held to account but they will make sure that there will be no more convoys and protests. Internet kill-switches and more regulations for truckers, ect, all under the guise of running things better.

This either ends in the truckers’ favour and ALL mandates are gone for good and lawsuits a-plenty or this will be an object lesson on what to avoid for the next time there is a government grab for power.

As for Justin, he will not resign or change should Biden be pressed into doing so. He must be turfed by his party or the Chinese.

  13. With respect to this specific movement – the convoy – lifting ALL vaccine mandates, requirements, passports, QR codes etc. And a resounding NO to digital IDs.

With respect to the larger, global movement, Blackface has to go. I’m sure I’m not alone in that sentiment. Notwithstanding all his previous unethical actions and many failings, the “small fringe minority with unacceptable views” “who shouldn’t be tolerated and only take space” comments demonstrate that such a person is unfit to hold public office. He falls, all the others fall.

  14. Other than a chicomm arse, there is only one thing that would make Joostaihn bend …. more of his caucus sheep speaking out against him.

  15. Kate ..

The Giles Hoffmann article listed 3 possibilities , but there is a 4th which Ezra identifies . However , the 4th option can either originate from the USA , or failing that from the Canadian truckers.

The Canadian and American truckers have the upper hand , provided they stay within the law so tyrants like Ford can’t touch them. They could analyze what the Ottawa bureaucracy needs to survive , such as paper , envelopes , services such as Internet , plumbing repairs etc. and refuse to deliver or service them to or in Ottawa.

In addition a go slow at the Ambassador Bridge would bring both Ford and Trudeau to their knees. As long as the truckers drive at the minimum allowed speed , they cannot be ticketed. There is no law stating you must work efficiently. If there was such a law , 90% of the civil service would be fired.

Having grown up in Windsor area , THE industry in the Windsor area is the CAR INDUSTRY full stop , and that is Ford and Trudeau’s Achilles heel.

  16. This video was posted Friday. As it turns out, Ezra was wrong about the Ambassador’s Bridge. I hope he’s not wrong about everything else.

  17. These are probably the non-negotiable conditions:

    1. a complete end to masking mandates.

    2. a complete end to vaccine passports or anything similar, or anything that can be further developed to create any form of “social credit” system as practised in China.

    3. free travel across the U.S.-Canada border.

    4. investigation of false flag activities related to the Ottawa demonstrations, punishment of anyone involved, resignations of any Cabinet ministers with knowledge of their planning.

    5. compensation for damage to any protestors’ equipment.

    6. a full amnesty for all charges and fines levied during the demonstrations.

    7. a parliamentary committee to investigate any profit motives that might have involved elected officials or their appointed civil servants in decision making capacities.

This may seem like a one-sided list, but there is nothing negotiable about our freedom or the rule of law in Canada. We need to see this complete movement to our position, or there will be endless problems to come, both for their side and ours. Who needs this anyway?

Let the response to COVID be the responsibility of the individual, we are two years into this and I have yet to hear anything from health talking heads about vitamins or lifestyle choices.

It is ridiculous to turn on the TV and see people going about normal activities in various states of the U.S. with sane governments, as if they live on some other planet where there is no COVID. The cure has proved to be far worse than the disease and has now obviously outlived its usefulness. Liberals are supposedly a pragmatic centrist party. Let’s see some proof of this, co-ordinate with the provinces and end the mandates.

    1. Peter, thank you for your list! My private one is similar: longer in some places but missing some of your most excellent points too.

I believe there have to be Royal Commissions into a NUMBER of different things, some of which you alluded to. But the key is that:
      1. 100% of the members & staff of these commissions need to be approved by the Trucker Protest leadership.
      2. External lawyers, retired police & military detectives would be just the start of the pool to draw from.
      3. They must have an unlimited budget. Sorry, but they must.
      4. There should be no specific time limit other than certain 1-month, 3-month deadlines to publish initial information.
      5. They must have mandatory subpoena powers. Fail to attend and you can sit in a jail cell until you willingly do.
      6. They must have the ability to lay criminal charges with large financial penalties and long prison terms.

Not just over the past 2 weeks, but over the past 2 years, it seems evident that some major crimes have been committed against Canadians. Those who made those decisions, including politicians, unelected bureaucrats, and law enforcement personnel need to be held accountable.

Will any of the above ever occur? The cynic in me thinks not but it’s the only way to cleanse Canada of the rampant corruption at the top of the pyramid.

  18. “ A lie on the throne is a lie, still, and truth in a dungeon is truth, still; and a lie on the throne is on the way to defeat, and truth in a dungeon is on the way to victory.”

  19. I have a short list for the federal government:
    1. Unrestricted inter-provincial and international travel.
    2. full Royal commission to investigate federal actions and influence in regards to the freedom convoy with full access to cabinet and secret documents (i.e. no putting documents out of reach.)

    For the provincial governments:
    1. Return of all confiscated items.
    2. Drop all charges.
    3. Provide a date for the end of all restrictions with a clause to dissolve parliament and call an election if restrictions are not ended.

  20. The Bong will not concede a single point.

If the ‘truckers’ think for a moment that the authorities will negotiate in good faith…. Increasingly this looks like a rough conclusion.

  21. I do not know if Ezra is correct.
Justine and his demented brain carrier Buttzy Boy are seriously disconnected from reality.
The Underlings face extermination if the full truth of Covid is revealed.
    The country is already bankrupt.
And we have no political or elected political opposition to the State of Panic.
There are a lot of entitled parasites facing possible doom if The State of Emergency is ended today.
And then we have an angry and embittered tax base, who see government in a whole new light after two years of Dread Covid Theatre.
    And Canadians are finally pissed.
    Retribution is in demand.
We sit on a powder keg,put in place by the parasitic overload ,who have no where to run to.
They never thought they could be held accountable, yet now that possibility looms large..
And all the civil institutions are hollow and useless.

More butt covering and a whole bunch of government experts thrown to the mob, while the existing cartel clings desperately to power,is more my expectation.
Followed by a nation wide strike and civil war..
    I love being an optimist.

    1. My fear is that it will not end-end but just fizzle away into some sort of attrition war. Yeah theTurd is losing face but he has no shame, he doesn’t care. He will use everything: arrests here-and-there, cutting money, supplies, going after everyone even remotely helping, using slave media to denigrate and misinform, bending laws etc. And Canadian winters are long and hard. Prime Moron will agree to some sort of ease-up ‘agreement’ and as soon as Parliament Hill is cleared he will slowly go back to choking us all.

      1. Dan; that really doesn’t work for the back bench MPs who I truly believe would be immensely relieved to see the end of him.
Getting rid of him within the party or out, and selecting a new Party Leader gives them a fighting chance at survival, even if in a fragile state. Remember it’s a minority Gov’t; one non-confidence vote away from decimation.
As much as MiniT thinks he’s El Presidente’ that’s not how it works.

  22. Way to go CBC. Accomplices in criminal hacks to imply nefarious actors, of course without ever identifying any, not even those who had previously donated to, gasp, the Trump campaign. Propaganda by omission, in service to political allies? Donations came from all over the world. Who knew there were so many fringe minorities with unacceptable views? Apparently not the CBC, failing to name names, preferring guilt by association. Yellow journalism. A sad day. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/convoy-protest-donations-data-1.6351292
