  1. Wed. July 14, 2021…

General Motors issued a recall in November 2020 for 2017-2019 Chervrolet Bolts due to fire risks while charging them…

AFTER THEY WERE REPAIRED, Bolts continued to catch fire. Now GM is telling owners of the RECALLED AND REPAIRED vehicles to not to park their vehicles inside or charge them unattended overnight.

“The NHTSA on Wednesday said battery cell packs in the (“already recalled and supposedly repaired”) vehicles have the potential to smoke and ignite internally, which could spread to the rest of the vehicle and cause a structure fire if the vehicle is parked inside a garage or near a house.”

“At GM, safety is our highest priority, and we are moving as quickly as we can to investigate this issue,” GM said. LOL.

    1. Electric cars are like the Covid Vaccine …. experimental … anything can happen.

You must now sit up and watch your car charge up all night to save your family from dying in flames..

It is advised to keep either a bucket of water or a garden hose handy.

      Why?

To hose yourself down in hopes that it wakes you up to ask the question … “Why did I buy and electric car?”

        1. And Firebird, firefly, olds starfire…can I throw in Thunderbird?…I’m sure there’s more car names that will be retired once we live in our new clean air world of EV’s…just don’t mind the deadly toxic battery fire smoke

  2. Now I know why so many folks are worried about “global warming/climate change”. The heat and CO2 generated by these vehicles is stupendous; they can easily raise temperatures both directly and through creation of huge amounts of greenhouse gases. A few of these amazing cars/vans/SUVs will go a long way towards altering the quality of the Earth’s atmosphere.

On the other hand, if you’re looking to fight of the chill of extreme Canadian winters, it’s hard to deny that vehicles like this could keep you warm on one of those nasty three dog nights…

    1. Have they figured out how to keep the windows defrosted at -40 yet or keep your ass warm, driving along pushing snow with your bumper because the plow did not come yet. Maybe install a wood stove or small parlor coal stove…..
Maybe companion Unicorns to fart on your window…

  3. July 4, 2021 (I’m sure all Americans were paying attention to this news on this specific date)

“Porsche is recalling the Taycan electric four-door after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Office of Defects Investigation received complaints that vehicles completely lost power while owners were operating the electric car.”

    https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a36904751/porsche-taycan-recall-announced-power-loss/

I could go on and on all night but Kate probably hates me for hogging her message boards 😉

    1. You are performing a useful service, Chris. I wonder when house insurance will start including electric vehicle charging clauses?

    1. Government: Like the vaccinations, trust us, they are safe…
      Haha,haha,haha,haha. Now that’s a real joke.
At least the manufacturers are alittle more honest due to not wanting the payment responsibly of your house burning down.

          1. I don’t see how they need to rely on us ‘tax-slaves’ anymore … now that they realize they can just keep printing money all day long and no one will stop them. Maybe that’s why they are killing us with vaccines or what they call vaccines. Who needs all those horrid citizens …. they just eat and shit and serve no useful purpose anymore.

          2. Robert

Well, seems to me Govt now has some major competition for our Dwindling discretionary Spending:

Those who got sucked in by the Full LIE – BS of the “Deadly Wuhan Flu” and got themselves inoculated with any one of the garbage shots, will likely have to continue getting said shots for the rest of their possibly shortened lives – at a COST.

  4. Taxi!

On the other hand once the AI enables them to truly drive on their own, it’ll make Ramavan Terrorism a lot more effective and cleaner for the environment…until the last part.

    1. Ottawa is now going rabid hi-cost unreliable electric busses. God knows why. (OK I know why, just rhetoric, that bit)

You know, the results of virtue signalling and buying your place in heaven were much more beneficial to mankind in the middle-ages when one would build or decorate a chapel with sculptures and paintings. Maybe found a hospital or university.

  5. Did anyone notice that around 28 seconds the van next to the burning car backs up 20 feet then becomes more engulfed in flames than the SUV? What happened to its driver?
Remote control van? Maybe it has a built in self driving feature that works when it is parked next to another electric vehicle that catches fire. A standard feature on all 2022 models.

    1. It’s been bending my brain. No matter which version of the video I watch, no one appears actually to get into the truck. Or get out of it after it gets engulfed. And the flames are on the driver’s side. It’s very convenient that there’s a big burst of smoke just as the truck starts moving. One other thing I noted as weird: there seems to be someone relatively disinterested watching events from that forklift or whatever in the background (top right): I thought I could see someone moving atop it.

Also as a note, this happened in May 2020 in southern China. Better-resolution versions of the video are available elsewhere, but they didn’t really help me figure things out.

      1. The heat popped the emergency brake line, and then the lack of slope stopped the car, along with the now liquid rubber tires.

        1. I was SHOCKED to see how FAST the left front tire of the truck became engulfed and melted into nothingness. But I guess that happens when the flamethrower of a battery fire gets started. Literally a flamethrower.

  6. And this is why German cities are starting to ban electric vehicles from underground parkades.
    Enjoy the Canadian winter.

    1. I remember when they used to ban propane powered vehicles from underground parkades.

    1. Warren

I totally agree with your comment- rapid as hell. Its almost like there is a layer of Magnesium contained there in no..??

  7. Come on Guys & Gals.
We know there is a joke in the error some how. OOPS.
    Well, it’s Friday

  8. What’s interesting, though not surprising is that the media cartel won’t tell.
    Everything is cool.

  9. Electric Vehicles eh.

Maybe a scooter, but thats as far as this Idiocy should go (for normal Thinking folks).
This spontaneous lighting up, may well be a feature. Just another oblique method of population reduction hmm..?? Given that by 2035 ICE vehicles will be BANNED..?

    Add that to:
    Wuhan Flu
    Climate Emergency
and the next crisis requiring 24/7 Hysteria…

  10. I like to needle the Tesla/Prius/EV crowd by saying loudly, “Look! another coal powered car!”. Most of the power in the state comes from coal power plants.
I then ask, “has it caught fire lately?”, or, “how many hours do you charge it before you can actually use it?”, or, “Do you trust it in cold weather with your families lives?”.

Some get mad, some frown and some look guilty.

    1. Ha! Those are excellent comments to those smug enviro-idiots who drive those sh!t boxes. I’ll bet you ‘some’ of these people don’t really own their garbage heap and lease it. They’re merely stooge product promoters for the Government.

    2. Pliney, me I asked a retard in a village near here, filled with lefties, where’s the mower deck? For his smart car.

No sense of humour on the sucker!

  11. Couldn’t see where to read the comments. Hey, look at the bright side. A gas vehicle would have exploded! If ignited, that is. Lightning?

    1. In all my 20 years of fire fighting. Not once has I see a car or truck (explode) from a burning fuel vehicle . They just burn.

    2. Gasoline-powered vehicles do explode…. IN THE MOVIES.
Not so much in real life. They kind of slowly burn and “pop” as various hoses let go, the starter battery cells are punctured, tires pop as flames eat through them. It takes a very specific level of fuel-air mixtures in a fuel tank for it to “dramatically” explode.

  12. L – The Trudeau gov’t. will issue a carbon emission violation fine to the electric vehicle’s owner or their estate.

Once city electric buses start immolating their passengers. Walking and cycling will become more popular. The government will then outlaw walking outdoors claiming Covid-19 viruses are released into the air. Then mandate electric bicycles.

Is there a resemblance to the practice of being tossed into a volcano to appease a pagan deity?

But as electric vehicles are blessed by the High Priests of Gaia, criticism will be labeled as criminal blasphemy.

  13. These electric vehicles are so convenient it’s a wonder there isn’t a system for piping gasoline to homes so cars can be hooked up and left unattended while refueling themselves.
