Well the simple fact is that no employees pay any taxes…..the businesses that pay them pay it all….and then some. The businesses pay the GROSS salary of the employees and the company portion of CPP and EI, etc. before they take a nickel out for themselves.
If they have jobs, they’ll be “contributing” to EI and CPP.

I spent a year in Ottawa in ‘89-‘90. What I noticed very quickly was that these cars were always parked, engine running, not on the street, but up on the sidewalk, right in front of the restaurant where the apparatchik was dining.
