In a recording leaked to The Intercept, former Vice President Biden appeared to blame the “defund the police” movement for the Democrats’ shellacking down-ballot in the 2020 elections, and urged liberal civil rights leaders not to put public pressure on his incoming administration regarding police reform until after the Georgia Senate runoff elections in January.
“I also don’t think we should get too far ahead ourselves on dealing with police reform in that, because they’ve already labeled us as being ‘defund the police’ anything we put forward in terms of the organizational structure to change policing — which I promise you, will occur. Promise you.” Biden can be heard telling left-wing civil rights leaders in the recording. “Just think to yourself and give me advice whether we should do that before January 5, because that’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country… I just raise it with you to think about. How much do we push between now and January 5, we need those two seats, about police reform? But I guarantee you there will be a full-blown commission. I guarantee you it’s a major, major, major element…we can go very far.”
As is common with the warped Leftist brain, actual evidence of disastrous policies has no effect on their thinking.

I admit I’m kinda torn with them defunding the police. Maybe its time for citizens to clean up the streets themselves. The police are no friends of conservatives. As Rich said, the police are the ones enforcing far left policies already and letting the left and other criminals run roughshod all over the laws already. Lets even the playing field.

Biden points out to his diverse allies that no, among other things, that he can’t snap his fingers and order America’s finest to grab all the crackers’ guns. His excuse is that a future Republican president could simply rescind the order.
He doesn’t have to point out that American police forces already refuse to enforce mask mandates that haven’t worked, aren’t needed, and have succeeded only in destroying small businesses, allowing out-of-town banks to help themselves to prime residential and commercial real estate (for re-sale for pennies on the dollar to CCP and PLA fronts) and swelling the ranks of people willing to work for Amazon at slave wages.
The absolute last thing any cop in any part of America where the god-given rights of white people are still (mostly) respected is going to do is confiscate his neighbours’ guns—if he values life and limb, anyway.
Democrat policies and all leftist policies in general are primarily virtue signaling driven rather than anything resembling science, economic, or financial acumen. Virtue signaling also takes precedence over basic morality. Defunding police is a narrative of the post modern nihilists originating from their sacred identity politics effects. The result will be more Ferguson Missouri’s. It actually makes sense if your goal is to increase violent urban crime to attempt justifying more gun control which is simply just another form of virtue signaling. It’s all a circular logic based on appealing to the marginally intelligent voter and leftist ideologue for continual support while leading them into an endless policy vortex.
