  1. Break up Twitter. And break up all tech monopolies that directly or indirectly deliver news. The leftists are using them to create a one party state.

  2. Oops, a glitch. Oops, a miscommunication. Oops, we really only want more transparency. More recycled b.s. phony lefty excuses and no chance there will ever be any accountability. I guess those people smeared, slandered, and harmed probably are just experiencing it differently. Just ask Blakie-2-Face.

  3. Me thinks that “big tech” feels obliged to help Biden because Trump skillfully and successfully used their platforms 4 years ago.
Trump caught the dems kind flat footed in that realm.
Big tech will be the down fall of the republic if there influence isn’t curbed.
    Break em up.

    1. I was hoping the tech companies would have had their business liscences revolked for 30 days as of today. No tweets, no facetime, no posts for 30 days. That means no income.
Next violation is a 90 day suspension.

      Suck on that, Big Tech.

    2. The answer isn’t to break them up. Like the telcos, they must not prevent people from using what they offer because it is a “public service”. Otherwise, they are publishers and are responsible for conntet, in which case let the law suits begin. They would be overwhelmed.

As Chris says below – use the anti-trust legislation.

    1. Prison, or the threat of prison, is such a long-term, no-hope strategy. One that any smart, big company can wriggle out of with enough expensive lawyers.
No, the easiest and best threat to misbehaving tech giants is shown in Kate’s graphic at the bottom of her post. A one-fifth loss of stock-market value in one day. Threaten their profits. Apply current anti-trust legislation. Revoke their blanket Section-230 immunity. GO FOR THEIR WALLETS.

      1. A distinction without a difference.

Once they run out of shareholders’ money to pay select members of the lawyers’ cabal to clean up their messes, bringing them to justice will be child’s play.

  4. Too late, Jack.

President Trump is laughing all the way back to the White House, and you’re going to find out that once your money is gone, the Nigerians will suddenly take great interest in the number of children you bought from Islamic terror gangs for immoral purposes for the price of a case of beer a head.

You’d better pray they decide to deport you to the States, Jack, because an African prison strikes me as a truly awful place for a white man to die.

You’d need a heart of stone not to laugh.

Tip for your next lifetime, Jack: if you get hot and bothered when you see a little boy, there are plenty of pig farmers who will be happy to help you chop your meat and two veg off before you get in any real trouble.

  5. Quote from Twitter user “BattleSwarm” sums it up nicely…

“We got pwned so hard for our obvious attempt to drag Joe Biden’s ambulatory corpse over the finish line we had to throw in the towel.”

  6. I take back my reluctance to use US courts to threaten the tech giants….

On October 29, the Acting Head of US Customs & Border Protection was locked out of Twitter for a comment on the border wall.

On October 30, Homeland Security took exception and sent Twitter’s Jack Dorsey a shot across the bow (see link below with images of the letter)…

    1. Homeland Security took exception and sent Twitter’s Jack Dorsey a shot across the bow

Either the US is a nation of laws, or it is not.

If it is, then the DHS’ empty puffery can and will be ignored by Twitter, because Twitter is not a publisher and is not engaging in censorship. Neither the DHS nor anyone else has any right to use Twitter’s computers against Twitter’s will, and calling it an issue of “national security” is Dr. Strangelove levels of buffonery.

If it is not, then the DHS can use its monopoly on the use of force to compel Twitter – and any other private company or citizen – to behave as the DHS dictates, regardless of what the US Constitution and federal law says.

I leave to you to decide which is the preferable option.

      *cough*Bundy*cough*

      1. If they want 230 protections then they have to stop censoring, and will be open to lawsuits for those who arrange riots or threaten murder using posts.

If they are a platform then they stop censoring politics and medicine (and other fields) based on their feelings (which have the power of “fact” to some who aren’t fully cognitively developed and likely never will be) then the status quo rules apply.

As issue is when a post is contrary to the public good. I don’t know the legal terms, but the platforms should not be available for illegal activities, but should not restrict legal ones unless they are against the public good. Posting pictures of child porn is illegal and should result in a ban. Talking about making or distributing pictures may be legal, but is still against the public good. Discussing whether pedophilia is harmful is a political discussion, and banning one of the discussers (in this case, the conservative who thinks it should remain illegal) would be against the public good.

Do you see the point I’m trying to make? Some of us don’t want no censorship, we want an even playing field that can be agreed upon by the major sides, not a “we don’t like you so you can’t play”. Freedom to use a platform should also mean freedom from being showered with bot-driven dic pics (or other porn, illegal for possession by minors) on that platform when the service provided doesn’t explicitly say “we’re going to send you porn, daily”.

  7. Twitter’s only usefulness is seeing first hand what scumbags reporters truly are. Seriously that is the only purpose of it. My first exposure was in 2011 during the election here. They all remind me of Genesis’ in the air tonight lyrics

“Well, if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand
I’ve seen your face before, my friend, but I don’t know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own two eyes”

  8. “The Streisand effect is an example of psychological reactance, wherein once people are aware that some information is being kept from them, they are significantly more motivated to access and spread that information”

  9. Twitter, compared to its social media cohorts, has, essentially, been the black sheep. They have failed to exponentially grow their stock price or their business over the last 5 years. Plus, they are actively pushing away half the market by disallowing conservative content, except for the most milquetoast.
When Trump gets re-elected, Step 1 will be the comeuppance of social media, step 2 will be charging the Obama gang with Treason

  10. It kind of sounds like someone is getting b*#$ch-slapped by the Invisible Hand of the market.
It looks good on Twatter. That might be why they want to destroy the Capitalist (Trump) in favor of Socialism.
It seems like all of the rich athletes and actors are fine with Communism. They already have their money, they just want you to give 60% of YOUR income to the government.

  11. The government can ruin twitter with a few announcements:

Homeland Security is opening an investigation into twitter for the ties to and support of international terrorism, Iran, ISIS, Hezbollah…

IRS is opening an investigation into twitter and the payments from foreign nations for influence on the American election.

DOJ is opening an investigation into the co-operation between Twitter and the Chinese government in providing information on Chinese citizens leading to internment in re-education camps and the disappearance of thousands of protesters in Hong Kong.

The government could order that Twitter be removed from all government platforms and that no government entity may be able to do business with any affiliated company due to “security concerns”

How far down could they drive the stock, 80%-90%?

    1. Tech twits benefited massively from Trump’s tax reform, now they collude, coerce and censor to remove him
Because their China friendly DeMarxist allies will make them even more money, aided by cheap labour from open borders.
Not so sure on the part about shareholder value, Trump only made them 300% and they think they deserve “better?”
      Sheep to slaughter.

  12. Quick call Brian Cox, they’ve found a way to reverse the passage of time.
To me its actually speeding up entropy.
