The international committee responsible for the official scenarios that feed into climate modeling that are the basis for most projective climate research and the assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has just published the next generation of climate scenarios.
Big news: The new framework has eliminated the most extreme scenarios that have dominated climate research over much of the past several decades — specifically, RCP8.5, SSP5-8.5, and SSP3-7.0. This is an absolutely huge development in climate science which will have lasting impacts across research and policy.
The future is not what it used to be.

RCP8.5 has always been a complete, anti-scientific absurdity and the primary tool of Climate Scammers for decades. Trust the Science, because you can’t trust the scientists.
Much of governmet policy is based on ‘science’ thar relied on the RCP8.5 scenario.
If you look at CBC’s ‘climatre dashboard,’ you will find this:
“If we keep developing a fossil fuel-based economy (high-emissions scenario), the average annual temperature is likely to increase by 4.8 C to 8.1 C in Toronto by the end of the century.”
This is based on RCP8.5. CBC has refused to halt using this scare tactic.
The Al Gore clip is a great illustration of the similarities between TV preachers and politicians. in many respects, they’re both ‘Flim-Flam’ men, or Snake Oil salesmen. And Al Gore exemplifies both.
If you believe in ice ages and glacial and interglacial periods you will know it takes over 2,000 years to get into the next glacial period once temperatures start to fall. That means you will experience an average temperature drop of 0.3 deg C over your lifetime (assuming you live to 100). Even your great-grand children won’t notice much of a difference in the boring weather stories of your childhood. “Why when I was your age we had to paint our skin white to keep if from blistering in the sun during the summer”. “Grandpa is that why we wear the hijab?”.
Now about that deadly CO2. Hmmmmm, seems if we can cut that by just 50% wait, we’re all dead, right??
So, Al. Are you saying it’s likely going to be hot at the equator and cold at the poles?
If we burn all the climate doomers we’ll stay warm.
This “correction’ will change nothing.
The official cure will never change,no matter what the climate does.

So it looks like the strategy for ‘how do we get out of this?’ has been put in place.
Here’s what I think they’re doing. The public at large is massively against AI hyperscaling data centres. One of the things they’re using to argue against them is the governments assertion that “climate change” is real and an emergency. Governments and many prominent lefty politicians and boosters are kind of all-in on the damned things, so they’re attempting to steer the narrative to take away a major point. Once they have them all up and running, they’ll flip again to lock everyone down because Earth or something and use AI to do it. All while building datacentres that cover a square mile each and use all the gas and coal that can be thrown at them.
