Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

In my 30+ years as a health information analyst (i.e., statistician), I’ve never heard the term “*crazy* exponential growth.”
Then again, most journalists are as innumerate as they are illiterate, so its good cover, I guess.
And, no, taking a stats course in your first year of uni while getting a sociology degree doesn’t mean you know more math than my 89 year old dad (master carpenter, proud 8th grade grad) who can do fractions in his head that would sweat most uni students, even the ones studying actual “math”.
Oh, the reckoning is coming, can you feel it? Who is gonna pay for “journalism” that could be done a badly written FORTRAN script?
The Canadian federal deficit is growing ‘exponentially’! As an engineer, yes I know it’s not really exponentially, but is now huge.
2020 deficit to hit $184 billion.

Note 7.1 million applications for the $2000 a month federal payout. That’s $14 billion a month and that program is only supposed to last for 4 months.
Will the virus be over then? How do we pay for round two?
The morons running this country know that they can buy votes. I said to my wife that the plan should have been to allow people to apply for EI, and then topped those people up to 95% of what they would have been entitled to. This would provide funds to people put out of work due to the shut down of industries by government. It would also put some control on the amount spent. And, finally, it would not put more money into someone’s pocket than if they were working. If your job comes back online, you go back to work.
It would have worked on an honour system on application, followed by audits by the CRA folks to ensure people were not over stating their salaries. CRA has all the payroll information they need to audit everyone who applies, so this is a feasible plan that would be fair to everyone.
Am I missing something?! Why not interest free loans for X amount of time. Then it would cost the taxpayer the amount of the lost interest. And then only for those who didn’t qualify for EI.
I can see some of the point. The only reason some businesses are shut down is because the government is forcing them to shut down. Those employees would be entitled to EI, but the rules for EI have waiting periods and also requirements to look for work, but you don’t pay EI back. So I can see how the government would take some responsibility to curtailing people’s earnings. Just throwing $2000 a month at people is lazy, no work on the government’s behalf required. I don’t blame a single person who takes it, it isn’t their fault they are out of work, and it isn’t their fault the government is throwing money at them. But, there are people who could be getting more, and there are people who could be getting less, if they used my method of payments.
From what I can tell, small businesses can get some interest free loans. I am not sure how many would want another loan on top of any other costs they have to bare, but it would be better than nothing at all.
Connected to China & Canada…Fox… Tucker interveiwed the Canadian Ambasator to China “Dominic Barton” worked for Mckinsey & Company… Interesting that I found that Susan Rice also worked in Canada for McKinsey & she married a CBC Producer who now works for ABC NYC… Looks like a cell run out of Canada…Fabian?? Communist??? Who the hell are they????

Agreed … the interlocking corporate/government directorates were something I scoffed at in my youth. Now … those Directorates have now made themselves blatantly, and arrogantly visible. Both inside government and outside in the “consultant” class …
He hate “STUPID conspiracy theories”? I hate stupid people like him … who lie and deceive … as though they were Satan’s spawn.
And … ? What of the “STUPID conspiracy theories” about the US Deep State bureaucracies who conspired to overthrow a duly elected OUTSIDER President? Oh yeah … those are all rubbish too? There are none so blind as those who will not see.
During the Tuck Interview he said US & China should agree on the PARIS Accord…Says most about their culture
I see an unusual Business Culture of building & unravelling … The Business Cover is to perfect to be true, looks more like an Experiment by a gifted inside group… Nobody pealed off to start their own Company, lots of CEO in critical companies & international governance…. Not Fabian or they would have stayed out of deep business operations…..Susan Rice’s mentor was Albright & Brookings Institute…. Socialist
I guess if I was a Communist I would want to Know how to build a functioning society after the failures of the USSR .. They hired unexperienced Graduates and honed them …..

Says here online, that Justin Ling is an “investigative” journalist for the CBC. Canada’s State broadcaster.
Well, that explains everything now, doesn’t it?
Investigative. That’s a really big word. He must be a really important person.
We must bow to his omniscient intellect without question and believe all that he and our overlords say without question.
And we still pay for this?
The guy is so stupid he’s barely embarrassed. Fucking loser.
Seriously, that cat sounds like UnMe.
Yep, a proof that one can abort a baby and raise a placenta instead.
Or, a living proof that anal sex produces children.
Those options are not mutually exclusive.
That tweet didn’t age well.
“From what I can tell, small businesses can get some interest free loans. I am not sure how many would want another loan on top of any other costs they have to bare, but it would be better than nothing at all.”
Talked to a small business owner(pub&restaurant) yesterday who has been shut down.He has NO income and the $40000 loan for small businesses is not in place. He also has a large mortgage to pay and the bank(despite what Turdeau says) will not defer his mortgage payment. And the problem with getting a loan (that has to be paid back) is that he is already in debt due to the shutdown(some expenses continue despite being closed) He didn’t day it BUT as far as I can see his ONLY real option is to take the $40000 loan and HOPE business comes back soon otherwise the bank will foreclose on him. If they do foreclose and extra 40 grand won’t really matter.Broke is broke.I don’t feel optimistic for his chances of survival.
As for Justin Ling it is obvious he is one of the 10000 chinese that are flooding twitter with propaganda by denying that the virus originated in China. He should be strung up by the thumbs with piano wire.
From the information that is starting to emerge from people like Steve Bannon(war Room Pandemic) it looks a lot to me that this is a bio-weapon deliberately released on the west.
How did the bits of AIDS get into the Peking Pox?
Dwayne – It might be best to just use the EI rules they use for Maritimers. 8 (10?) weeks of work let you collect for a year. No need to look for work. Getting 90% of your pay from EI is better than going to work because there’s no travel and a host of deductions aren’t removed from your paycheck. And with just a bit of energy, you can do a whole lot of things youself that otherwise you would have paid someone else to do for you.
