Your Intellectual Betters

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is insisting that Americans should not return to work when they’re given the green light to do so. We strongly encourage the following workers to follow her advice:

  • All farmers who supply food to New York City and Washington, DC
  • All supermarket and corner store workers in these areas
  • All delivery drivers
  • All restaurant workers
  • All public transportation workers
  • All utility workers
  • All firefighters
  • All healthcare workers

When havoc ensues after about 72 hours, all complaints should be sent here.

  1. The best thing that could happen for her country would be for AOC to refuse to return to work.

  2. I actually think she has adopted Trump’s formula.

Say something /anything to trigger the old white conservative dudes. Let them spin with her name attached to every comment/insult.

She knows she won’t win most battles but she must also know that when the ballot is marked she will be the one remembered for boldly challenging “the man”.

The possible difference is that Trump seems to get stuff done, she is too junior at this point to effect much change.

    1. I do not believe she has the mental capacity for the three-dimensional chess strategy, based on her prior remarks.

  3. This newest chorus of bleating liberals is ALL about preventing Trump’s greatest achievement, the thriving US economy, from bouncing back before the November election.

    And that’s ALL it’s about.

  4. Dummies like AOC have become the pox on humanity. We deserve it because we are incapable of being human ourselves.

  5. Pet peeve of mine.

Do not refer to her AOC.

    It helps her branding.

    Hard to do I know.

  6. How many bets she hasn’t turned down a nickle of her ridiculously overblown paycheck.

  7. I think I have become far less horrified by the thought of political assassinations than I used to be. What gives? I shall be forced to say many Hail Mary’s and beg forgiveness for my dreadful attitude, dear me.

    Unacceptable, indeed!

  8. Go blow it out your ear you stupid memeber of the Stupid Jackass Party(Liberal Democrat)everyone just ignore the that Howler Monkey just call the zoo and tell them she has been found

  9. You gotta wonder if this woman is actual person or a robot.
Anything that comes out of her mouth makes no sense.
Like she lives in another world, out of body, separate reality.

Though you gotta give it to the New Yorker’s, they sure know how to pick them and be proud of it.

  10. Republicans can only smile whenever they think of AOC. And the DNC is wondering if they shouldn’t arrange another suicide.

  11. AOC allegedly majored in international relations and economics. It must have occured to her, then, that the massive global recession that this pandemic has caused could well kill more people than the disease itself. And those people who die will not be the rich but the poor. Getting people back to work as soon as possible is therefore a major priority.

I think I know how she might have completed her degree.

During my involvement with post-secondary education, both as an instructor and as a graduate teaching assistant, I had students who were as dim as AOC. If they didn’t get the grades they figured they deserved or were entitled to (regardless of whether they actually earned them), they kicked up a fuss. They started first with me and, if they didn’t get what they wanted right away, they would take it higher, even if it meant taking it to the department head. They would continue acting up until they finally got what they wanted, regardless of whether they actually earned it.

AOC reminds me of some of the students I had who mewled and puked their way to academic success. They were dumb as a post, lacking in talent, devoid of ambition, but successful nonetheless. As a former colleague put it, it’s easier and less hassle and headache to simply give them what they wanted and get rid of them than to stand up for what’s right.

Much of that behaviour can be blamed on the idiotic educational doctrine of “student as customer”.
