  1. In 2008, Morgentaler was awarded the Order of Canada “for his commitment to increased health care options for women, his determined efforts to influence Canadian public policy and his leadership in humanist and civil liberties organizations.” These increased options benefited his chain of clinics all while he evaded tax.

  2. What’s with this broad that got one for studying giraffes? I’m 74 YO and have never seen nor heard how giraffes pertain to Canada. Not once.
Could she be the Dipshit’s secret squeeze from Tofino?? Just askin”.

  3. Would it be too much to ask that most Canadians have heard of the people? Are they public figures?

Would it be too much to ask that they excel at something more meaningful than as a gymnastics coach or volcanologist? Unless they make a world class breakthrough.

Would it be too much to ask that the appointment not be morally abhorrent to many as in the country’s best abortionist? For the last reason I could never accept the award.

  4. Another far-left membership.
If Harper had balls, he would decline his. He must have been awarded for not gutting the CBC as he should have.

      1. @ Angel … take your fucking marxist sensibilities somewhere else … Harper is the only conservative PM elected to parliament in your lifetime and you don’t like that do you … now piss off.

        1. @ Angel … as evidenced by your semi-literate response, you do not have the perspicacity to discuss the complexity of the issues you have raised … but to be clear, you are dead wrong.

Stephen Harper is the real deal and remains the best and most capable conservative PM in Canadian history.

        2. @ Ynot … speaking of shitheads, shouldn’t you be at an antifa rally somewhere? You pathetic little marxist POS … fuck off.

      1. @ Q … WTF? The Easton Spectator? Geo-engineering and cannabis culture news … and a picture of Harper shaking hands with the Ukraine President 6 fucking years ago … no story, no documents, no research, just a fucking picture …

You are a mendacious twit … what are you doing on a conservative blog? Piss off.

Kate … ban Q. Block his ip …

        1. Had a lot of respect for Harper.
Perhaps he deserves a medal for his 10 years survivor as a prime minister.
His last election was not his piece of cake, it looked as though he had enough and was going away.
Too bad he did not resign and prepared someone to take his place.

It’s disappointing though that Harper joined the Global Socialists, the GLOZIS, with total disregard for the people of this country.

This Dentons organization sounds like globalist confab to get those that had influence in line with the GLOZIS.

Harper of course is free to join and proclaim whatever it is that he is doing, it is just too bad the he is succumbing to the dark side.

As per the guy that calls everybody names, take a break, have a hit of whisky, get real or just fade away,

      1. I was happy to see Harper get medal.

He was the best PM possible under the Circumstances. Not happy he didn’t burn CBC to the ground. Unhappy he provided resources in Libya to assist Obama & whatshername’s stupid scheme, but his reality was not my reality. I’m just an observer.

Never been happy with Medal going to baby killer Morgenthaler. Always wondered what he did to survive the camps. Not that I wouldn’t have done worse if it meant surviving.

End of year reflection. Was considering the other day about woman’s right to chose and realized that all our problems started with Eve’s bad choice. Not that it was made better by Adam wimping out and letting her and then blaming the woman that God gave him.

        Choose wisely

        Happy Y2K+20

    1. No he doesn’t. He had a job, he did his job and he was very well compensated for doing so. You don’t get the order of Canada for going to work everyday, why should politicians?

  5. 120 – that should cover every possible leftist identity, with one left over to award to Andy Sche(m)er, as best supporting actor in a general election.

  6. For the same reason that government has no business being in business, it should not be picking winners of various fields that could handle their own system of recognition of achievement. I find it offensive that Suzuki and many like him are alumni of the list and supported by government and tax dollars when there is plenty of US foundation dollars being poured into Canada to fund their lobbying and war on prosperity. Let them recognize their agents.

  7. They really need to award one to an entire class of Canadians- the upper-income, self-regarding, elite of Laurentia, for their contribution in electing, and re-electing light workers who lead with their hearts, and their minstrel costumes, like boy Trudles. It would be a brilliant political move.

  8. Jennifer Tory, Toronto. For her commitment to advancing women and minorities in the banking industry and for her extensive community work.

I’m guessing this useless diversity quota keeping whitey down nazi is some relation to John Tory?

P.S. I recognized all of 5 members of this list all 5 were politicians. All but 1 of those 5 was a Liberal politician. The other didn’t scrap the CBC.

    1. Speaking of politicians, you missed one. I randomly checked up on a couple of names whose “accomplishments” rang particularly hollow. One was Cheri DiNovo, an NDP politician. Had the most bills in the Ontario legislature passed that had tri-party support. Appears all were LGBTQ initiatives. Her real claim to fame, though, was smuggling LSD into Canada in hollowed-out bibles as a teenager. I can see where the PM would consider that worthy of special commendation.

  9. well there was some “peter” guy that also got that prestigious award, seemed he was an “upstanding” dude, friend of justy’s, can’t remember his last name but it seems he was “upstanding”, not sure what in. Filed in the whoopdeedoo file.

  10. Meh,a fine cross section of who makes Can Ahh Duh what it has become.
Any polite individual would be wise to pass on this “honour”.
For by the company you keep, you will be known.
Are we starting that New Country yet?

  11. I was going to diss Heather Reisman, but then was reminded of this nugget of information in Wikipedia. “In August 2006, due to differing reactions by the two main Canadian political parties to the 2006 Lebanon War, Reisman withdrew her longtime support for the Liberal Party of Canada and chose to support the Conservative Party of Canada ”

If Scheer had the moral compass and courage to stand for anything he’d be our Prime Minister.

  12. I think it confirms the likelihood that a pipeline, nuclear power, WEXIT, anything positive ever happens under Moe’s watch.

Just another Canada first, pension first, career politician.

  13. “Christine M. Morrissey, Vancouver. For her advocacy on behalf of 2SLGBTQ+ immigrants and refugees.”

  14. Hana Gartner, CBC stenographer is on that list. Why isn’t that surprising?

    1. Obviously Hana is on the trail of a governorship. I remember that obsequious liberal from the years before I stopped listening to the CBC. But I guess her political thigh-action was good.

  15. Crikey! One of my old professors is on the list. Dunno about the rest of them, but his award is well merited. One of the smartest men I ever met and a Canadian patriot through and through.

    1. One is a lady Minister in Ontario United Church… also a Marxist LGB***** & EX- NDP provincial MLA….
Her BIO covers a lot of Marxist history back before WWII when communists were hunted down….The formation of the NDP from the CCF..waffles

  16. How about nominating me for my life-long dedication to fighting homelessness and hunger for my familly, growing the Canadian economy AND providing slush money to the Liberlas through taxation?

  17. The Center of the Universe, MONTREAL, is wildly overrepresented on this list. I know, was shocked too. These preening arrogant choices reflect the old meaning of the word “provincial”. i.e. A retrograde small town, hidebound with self aggrandisement which considers itself far reaching in the wide world of ideas and accomplishments. Some may be worthy, but leaving out most of Canada & elevating SJW makes Canada the backwater PM two faced strives for.

    1. Didn’t see any from Manitoba either, unless I missed one.
Saskatchewan, Manitoba, conservative Premiers, no carbon tax, and not enough Liberal bagmen apparently is the cause.

  18. Dr. Cheryl Rockman-Greenberg really does deserve to be honoured. She is a world renowned human geneticist and she has made enormous contributions to the field. Of course I am a bit biased. She was my PhD co-advisor. More than once I sat in her office trying to get some grant application finished only to be interrupted by doctors from all over the world calling asking for her help with a difficult case. She has especially devoted herself to going into some of the poorest indigenous communities in Canada determining the cause of genetic disorders, and finding treatments. She’s also a very fine human being. Sometimes they get this right.

  19. Did anyone check to see if they really passed the 3 consecutive month without contacting a social disease test?
