It’s even more deep, on local levels in B.C. the climate insanity seems well entrenched.
Most if not all greater Victoria cities have passed resolutions declaring a Climate Emergency (yes, those words exactly). So did the Regional District. The meaning of words like emergency and crisis have been diminished to political talking points, and more reasons to tax us more, the ultimate goal. These people are ridiculous, Virtue signallers.
The other notable item, in relation, is the NDP government passed its ICE new vehicle ban for 2040. The provincial Liberals voted FOR the legislation. Seals the deal, they always called themselves a separate entity, but they are clearly Justin’s cousins, idiots. The time is ripe for a provincial Conservative party, as we have 3 climate doom parties in B.C., ready to rape taxpayers

You’re much tougher than me. I moved from Alberta to Vancouver to start grad studies at UBC. A bit more than a year later, I moved back for many of the same reasons you did and, yes, it’s a nice place but only if you’re a tourist.
The last time I was actually in the city was about 15 years ago when I was there for an interview. I was reminded of some of the reasons why I left. Fortunately, I didn’t get the job.
