You’d think the SJWs would have learned their lesson when they got smacked in the mouth by Gamergate. Tech nerds tend to be very rational and leftism definitely is NOT.
But tech nerds are also focused on the details and don’t care to see the larger picture. Hence their support for progressivism, which looks to some to solve problems at the details level but only if one doesn’t look for inter-relation of the facets.
The idea that some are now questioning “if sexism is bad, then why is current sexism to combat past sexism not also bad?” is a good step. They’re looking outside of the “there is inequity in distribution, therefore we must equalize distribution.” This is another good step. Someday they may make enough cross-connections to become conservatives. 🙂
There have always been cracks. It is just fear has kept the majority of people in the world self censoring.
You look at it logically, it has always been a small minority bullying and hectoring the majority, while the majority has sheltered in place and remained silent.
A few people have begun to stop giving a frack that they are called racist, or phobia phobe, or cock womble, … That is all. Over time, the voices of those who have stopped caring will grow in number. And like that guy at Google, Damore, they will slowly start to not only speak, but punch back.
To put it another way, the poor woman is increasingly disturbed by Microsoft’s refusal to hire men she considers marriage material.
The diversity hires are fun for cheating on your white male spouse. Eventually, though, your typical liberated white female wants to marry a white male who can be easily persuaded to pay for lifestyles a dead-end secretarial or HR job can’t possibly pay for, and will not have time to demand much sex.
Do give over, that’s just a stupid comment. Have a degree m’self in a subject which was largely – at that time – male-dominated. School days were really good, the men in my class generally accepting m’self and fellow females as equals (there was some comment about how one particular woman got some of the grades she did – don’t know if that was true) and I have a good degree to my credit. Will have to admit, however, that was married at the time; several other women in my cohert did marry colleagues.
We’ve celebrated 50 years married; have never felt tempted to “cheat on your white male spouse”. Have worked with diversity hires and am still friends with some of them, but they can’t compare to my man.
The Microsoft author echoes former Google employee James Damore, who in 2017 wrote a memo that went internally viral at Google, leaning on pseudoscience to argue that women aren’t cut out for the tech industry.
That’s how they sum up the Damore incident. Honestly, if you’re still looking to these imbeciles for your “news” I feel sorry for you.
Its very hard to hide abject incompetence at a technology company. And it really hacks the competent ones off, because they do all the work.
