  1. Gerald Butts and others will testify at 10:00 am Eastern time. Wonder if he will throw Trudeau under the bus? The penalty for Obstruction is ten years. Will anyone pay the proper penalty?

    1. “Will anyone pay the proper penalty ?”… Nope… I’m still waiting for the Liberal Party to pay back the 100″s of millions of taxpayer dollars they stole from the treasury and laundered through the gangsters paradise of Queeeebek.

    2. I was watching some of CTV and CBC News last night and this morning, and both pro-Libersl networks are hyping Justin Trudeau’s “new messaging strategy” — where messages could range from “we are listening”, “we feel your pain”, “men and women perceive things differently” or “this is a message of contrition”. We have to see how this new strategy plays. CBC News is still reporting that “there is a firewall” between Gerald Butts and the PMO. But if he is in any way contrite, when he testifies this morning, we know that this is one more CBC news-lie. Michel Wernick will be testifying this afternoon, and he must have been in the PMO sewer, yesterday, strategizing with Trudeau as to what message he will bring.

One thing missing in the media coverage is that the House Justice Committee is rigged. The Liberal majority get to decide who appears, and from here on in we will be hearing from Liberal apologists. I wonder if Jody Wilson-Raybould is permanently silenced moving forward. And while this is going on, Canadian TV viewers are being bombarded with touchy-feely govetnment ads, about the wonders of all the government money flowing into Canadisns’ pockets. No complaints from the media cartel. That govetnment ad money sure helps the netwotks’ bottom line, eh?

    3. NR,NO,and NO to both your questions. Butts is and has been a loyal friend to Trudeau for almost 30 years,he is not about to throw him anywhere.

And of course no one will pay the proper penalty, that is not how it’s done in politics in any civilized country. The club members make the rules to suit themselves.

    4. No worries, he can lie, not under oath as Grit majority voted that down before Butts spoke. Why is that, hmmm?

    1. Absolutely horrifying!

Suspecting that his daughter’s mental health issues might be more of the cause than the effect of her gender dysphoria.

And … the mental health issues of … his wife, the school counselor, the doctor who prescribed male hormones for a 14yo girl, and the majority of the BC Supreme Court. They’ve ALL got serious mental health issues.

And I’ll say this decision goes back even further … to when; the schools, planned parenthood, and the courts ruled that birth control can be distributed to minor school children without parental consent or even notification.

And BTW, as a Christian parent, I WOULD have given my own daughter access to birth control had she been sexually active as a minor. However, she wasn’t. Because we discussed sexual activity thoroughly with her, and she made prudent decisions. But the idea that some pinhead school counselor could give my daughter birth control without my consent or knowledge makes my blood boil.

    1. That should hardly be surprising. After all, didn’t Chretien put a choke hold on a protester some 20 years ago?

    1. In related news it must be Spring because the CBC reports that whiny indians are launching their annual lawsuit against the government(taxpayers). They are suing for three billion dollars because of underfunded children’s services or something.

        1. I’m sure some Indians are paying for their own kids, but everyone else is also paying for the Indians’ kids. A fair question: Is the collective paying more for the kids of a racial/ethnic group than for the rest of the kids, and if so, why?

    2. And just one more REASON Why the Calls for JWR as PM are supreme MADNESS….you can bet this kind of shit would EXPLODE with her in Charge.

Said aboriginal is no Saint….just another POS Liberal with a Scheme long in the making….POWER, its all they care about.

    1. From the link: “let the ethics commissioner do his job”.

This is corrupt liberal excuse #2. It means a Liberal can accept gifts worth tens of thousands for a cost of $100. Heck of a deal.

    1. “I would forfeit that cash with a smile to see the RCMP make an entrance into the Langevin Building.”

You mean the former Langevin Building.

You might recall the name was removed as part of the general campaign to obliterate our history in the advancement of “progressive” norms.

      1. Yeah, although I didn’t look very hard, I couldn’t find what the new name is.
I’d vote for Ministry of Truth building.

  2. My bet is on Butts falling on his sword today taking all responsibility, allowing the Turd to continue his quest for lifetime rule of Cuba…er I mean Canada.
Butts will land softly, somewhere cushy with a Pardon and a job for life.
    It’s the Liberal way.

    1. Butts seems to have ignored the 1st Rule of Holes. When you find yourself in a hole stop digging. 2nd Rule. When you find yourself in a hole shut up. Nobody can take offense with something you did not say.

    2. Buttsplug’s ego is the size of the Langevin Block.
He gives ground to no one, believes he is the smartest person in the room.
He makes others fall on their sword.
His resignation means nothing when he says he’s done nothing wrong and will prove it today according to all Liberals..

    3. Grit endgame is to, under public pressure of course and to facilitate transparency, call a public inquiry and put the whole matter on the shelf (can’t comment on ongoing inquiry) until after the federal election, then it all goes away.

Think of as the Hillary-North gambit. Don’t fall for it CPC, don’t push for a useless inquiry that lets Trudeau et al off the hook.

In keeping with their US statist cousins, if Scheer complains, call him a racist and “investigate” him for obstruction of justice.

Or perhaps mental illness. Even if he wins, again a/p Alinskyism, double down to get him out.

Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime; the Soviet axiom, unless they’re in power then democracy reigns (over us and our freedom).

  3. It’s -21 in Calgary and wind power is at a whopping 2% of capacity. Guess it’s too cold for green energy to work.

But as Justin says “we have a strong plan”.

    1. Right now wind is providing almost 11 percent of the power being generated on Ontario. The only problem is that we are generating 2000 MW more than we need, so we are buying that power off the wind generators for about twenty times what we pay for nuclear power, then paying factories in Ohio to use it for us.

  4. Can We Trust Sheer and the Conservatives?

I mean look at Sheer not answering the question from a reporter she even accuses Sheer of not answering the question:

“Does the Conservative Party believe that a DPA should still be considered for SNC-Lavalin?”

Listen to Scheer’s answers at 10:50 mark for the clock count up on the left side.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=53C6Dzzgmww

Why is Sheer not answering the question?

What is Sheer and the conservatives hiding?

And we’re supposed to vote for Sheer and the conservatives thinking they are going to do what’s right for us ?

Sorry after watching Sheer skate around to not answer the question has raised a lot of questions in me and how I may not support the conservatives this coming round.

We need major changes in the direction of where the socialist left has taken us.

I’m afraid Sheer’s conservatives are going to continue the global left agenda of migration, Paris Accord and not building pipelines…

How many pipelines made it to the coast during the last conservative majority government and why didn’t they scrap the CBC ?

Don’t we always get screwed by governments in the end!

We need drastic changes to be done come after this election.

I’m sorry I just don’t trust any of the major parties anymore they are to ingrained into a corrupt governmental media controlled global system.

I’m glad I’m old and my apologies to all the younger generations we let you down…

    1. Interesting take on Lavscam from BEFORE it happened.

From the Peoples Party Outremont candidate yet.

“Essentially, SNC-Lavalin has been arguing they are “Too big too fail” or “Too big to jail”

This is faulty logic. If big corporations that have demonstrated corrupt practices get off with just a ‘slap on the wrist’, then it becomes just another cost of doing business and corruption becomes more widespread.

We have to clean up Ottawa and stop the powerful influence of special interests from deciding what our laws will be.

P.S. Wondering why the Liberals are so keen to help SNC-Lavalin?

For one, SNC-Lavalin is now crucial to their new Infrastructure Bank. With a planned budget of $186.7 billion over the next 12 years, the new bank is giving contracts to SNC-Lavalin to build a number of projects funded by the bank, including the $6.3 billion REM light rail project in Montreal.

SNC-Lavalin is also known to be a big political donor to the Liberal Party of Canada. Only three weeks ago, the former vice-president of SNC-Lavalin was charged with an illegal political donation scheme that funneled more than $117,000 to federal political parties through employees of SNC-Lavalin. $109,000 of the donations went to the Liberals.

      But surely there’s no connection.”

1/ Not only did Scheer meet with SNC-L lobbyists last year.

He also refuses to say if he would allow SNC-L to avoid criminal trial through a DPA.

Of course, as a pandering LibCon, he refuses to take a stand because he’s once again afraid of losing votes in Quebec.

      Maxime Bernier

      @MaximeBernier

      2/ I never met with SNC-L lobbyists.

      And my position is clear:

No one is above the law.

No special deal for big corporate criminals.

I will repeal this DPA clause adopted by the Liberals.

AND I WILL CLEAN UP THE CORRUPTION IN OTTAWA!

      1. “Only three weeks ago, the former vice-president of SNC-Lavalin was charged with an illegal political donation scheme that funneled more than $117,000 to federal political parties through employees of SNC-Lavalin.”
Well, hopefully he will be handcuffed in front of the media and sent to jail. After all, that is what happened to the Conservative guy (Del Mastro) when associated with some family member who did the same thing, only on a much smaller scale. Every day I am struck by the political double standard in this country — sustained by the media and the Laurention elites!

        1. Since you’re enjoying yourself, please have some more………

          February 15, 2019 3:26 pm

“A former SNC-Lavalin executive and his lawyer had obstruction of justice charges against them stayed Friday on the grounds it took too long to bring the case to trial.

Sami Bebawi, a former SNC-Lavalin executive vice-president, and his Montreal-based tax lawyer, Constantine Kyres, had been accused of offering a $10-million bribe to have a key witness change his testimony in a fraud and corruption case against Bebawi.”

          https://globalnews.ca/news/4966829/obstruction-charge-against-former-snc-executive-dropped-due-to-excessive-delays/

          1. So, who arranged for those delays, I wonder. Boy,they must think we are stupid. Maybe they are right.

    2. Yes, you did. And we continue to let ourselves down. Don’t do nothing with the excuse that it’s either that or very little. Even if Scheer will lead a CPC government to be no different from the Liberal government, do the very small thing that you can: vote to throw out the Liberals, stopping as many members accruing pension entitlements, throwing them back to their old jobs, getting some disruption in high-level Civil Service appointments, make a chance for some change. At every election, at all levels, when in doubt, vote them out.

    3. I have no problems with DPA legislation provided:
      a) the legislation is introduced as its own bill in Parliament. No hiding it in a omnibus bill.
      b) the application is restricted to the director of public prosecution.
      c) a judge has to approve the penalty.

In principle, it provides an additional tool for the prosecution service. But if we as a country decide to adopt it, it must be vigorously and public ally debated in Parliament.

However, I would not apply it to SNC.

    4. IDK…IW, On the SNC file,I doubt Scheer will do anything different than the LPC, it’s all the OTHER issues Scheer will do differently that is the reason why we have to vote CPC, not LPC.
Eaxmples: Bill C-69, plus the pipelines, carbon tax, gun seizure laws upcoming by Bill Blair, UN pact on migration, Border security, Trudeau’s plan to bring in a million immigrants per year, and a number of other issues are why Trudeau has to go.

Don’t make the mistake of fixating on one negative possibility by Scheer, there are far more important issues at stake.

First order: we MUST get Trudeau and his cabal the hell outta Office, no matter how unappealing we may find the alternative. And let’s be realistic, The People’ Party of Max Bernier will be lucky to win a half dozen seats.

      1. I think you are underestimating the public awakening that is currently happening…

The liberals may not be the only party to have members quit…

Max has many friends in the CPC…

        It’s all about timing…

The conservatives are due for a truth bomb against them as well.

        Believe me when I say;

        We Are At War…

  5. “A word on Gerry Butts’ longed-for appearance Wednesday morning: Why is Gerry Butts appearing? He doesn’t even work there anymore. Why all this drama for an ex-employee when the CEO is still on the premises – and he’s the one, the only one, who has all the answers.”

    – Rex Murphy in the National Post today

    1. The CEO is so stupid he likely doesn’t even know or understand what is going on. And Butts is going to lie, so we will be no farther ahead than we are now.

      1. The Liberal control of the committee won’t allow testimony under oath, but it will still be good to have some Butts lies on the record at a public hearing so that they may later be shown to be lies.

    2. Rex sold out

He gets paid to write Op Ed’s for the government…

You can classify him as a relief valve…

To blow off steam before more Op Ed’s are written to steer the narrative the government wants

  6. Recently emailed my MP, No Time McKenna, as well as Chrystia with Jane Philpotts quote: “I must abide by my core values, my ethical responsibilities and constitutional obligations. There can be a cost to acting on one’s principles, but there is a bigger cost to abandoning them.” And in one line I thanked them for letting me know where they stand.

  7. If Liberals cared about jobs, they
would allow pipelines to be built
    would not add jobs-killing regulations
would not constantly grow government with new costly programs
would not increase deficit and taxes.

What they care about is helping their cronies and buying votes.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/MaximeBernier/status/1103288041517518848

The role of government is NOT to protect jobs in a specific company.

It’s to create an environment conducive to job and wealth creation that is FAIR to ALL companies and benefits ALL Canadians.

Canadians deserve a government that works for all, not just for their cronies.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/MaximeBernier/status/1103280990598909953

  8. Apparently, the Liberal government is ready to announce a National Pharmacare System. Let me translate that for you:

Albertans are going to pay for all the drugs for an aging Quebec population. This country has jumped the shark!!!!

    FREE SASKABERTA NOW !!!!!!!

    1. Old timer 64 here as well was a great year to be born.

Martin Armstrong sent a video truth bomb about all Governments of the world and how they never plan on paying of their debts.

Martin uses the US as an example but he also talks about the rest of the world.

If you want to understand what our corrupt politicians do here in Canada I highly suggest that you all watch this.

      It’s an eye opener…

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ARBduyoXsP4

  9. A note on US politics. This is an interesting read — with info not found I the main stream press: http://wsenmw.blogspot.com/2019/03/why-this-black-man-voted-for-support.html

Even the Canadian press is pathetic in its coverage of Trump. National Post today is all about our own scandal, but they still found space for a short bit about someone calling Mueller “a hero”. Absolutely pathetic journalism. It’s like they have this compulsive need to keep the anti-Trump pilot light going even when other issues get in the way. I have seen little coverage of the discussions with Korea, but lots of Cohen testimony coverage — and this is Canada’s “conservative” newspaper. Canada does not have a free press.

  10. Mulroney:
Saw last night that Mulroney said that he wouldn’t let Philpott or Wilson-Raybould run for Liberals again. May Trudeau heed this advice and repeat the Mulroney results of 1993.

    1. copp’s own book sold like hotcakes.
1 plate of them. hit the ‘discount on sale’ bin in record time.

  11. Moments prior to the Justice Committee Hearing:

Andrew Scheer is in Mississauga campaigning.
He just announced tax-free home heating, should the Conservatives win the next election. The announcement got lost, and it didn’t get repeated right afterwards.

It isn’t important due to the upcoming testimony of Gerald Butts. They are airing clips of JWR and show GB walking in the building.

Oh It is all nothing, just move along, they are going to be very sorry and a whole slew of Liberals won’t re-run again.

It will be a blood bath but the Liberals will say they just nicked a finger.

    1. Yeah like I would believe Waffling Sheer…

No tax on home heating but gas for your car, trucking companies that carry a everything we eat and use sounds like he wants to reinstate liberals carbon tax?

That’s all Governments do is spend in debt and tax the shit out of us because they are broke filling their pockets and friends with our money.

      Time for a revolution

      Taxation should be illegal…

    2. The ‘remove GST’ is a crock of shit. It’s only a rebate up to $200 and there are a lot of conditions. The plan is a lie and Scheer is spineless

      1. I just looked at my gas bill and the GST charge is $6.66. Our gas bill includes gas used for heat, water, and kitchen range. This month was high, probably the second highest of the winter, at a total taxes in at $139.98. So, times 12, would total $79.92 GST for the year on our home heating, water and cooking, A maximum is more than adequate for the average family. Oil heat would probably be higher as would no doubt be electricity.

  12. Butts Testifying to “his truth” and saying there may be a 2nd Opinion…or some such BS.

This from the Guy that was the CEO of the World Wild Life Fund which hired organized armed gangs to go after Poachers to torture – kill them….innocence not being the main issue or Critieria.

And we are supposed to believe anything this POS Has to say..?
He Deserves a BULLET – not a Pulpit.

  13. In real time, weasel Butts is blaming JWR in almost every other sentence. Nothing was his weasel fault. He wanted Brison to stay. NOTHING ever to do with Weasel Butts.
Weasel was busy on other projects at all times. The Prime Minister was very busy with other things and misunderstood by others. Weasel Butts has been living inside JWR’s head and sharing background with dumb Canadians who don’t know how Government works. SNC Lavalin had nothing to do with Cabinet shuffle. Weasel Butts leaving SNC out of the whole testimony so far. I gotta go fwow up now. We have highly trained lawyers and I’m not a lawyer says Weasel.

WE HAVE A SHORT TIMEFRAME for some mysterious reason.

  14. Butts is going to appear before the committee, he wants to because he thinks he can spin this to protect the PM. I don’t think Rex Murphy thinks what he wrote will stop Butts appearing before the committee nor that he wants that result. He is just switching fire to target PM Castreau because Butts won’t be under oath and with Liberals running the show he’ll be given every opportunity to spin things to protect the PM. Whenever the boy is on his own, reciting what they told him to say, there’s a chance to get him off his script and display that he doesn’t know what he is doing. Real Liberals will be loyal to the party even if they can’t stomach the leader anymore but the more the public sees of him, the better it will be for the rest of us.

  15. CBC Breaking Fake News!

    Justin is resigning!

Liberal Party President Vito Rizzuto made the shocking announcement at a hastily called press conference today.

He advised that Trudeau would be replaced, possibly temporarily, by Bernie of “Weekend at Bernies” fame.

He assured Canadians that they would “See no difference at all in Governing” and suggested Canadians should get back to watching Senator playoff hockey and augmenting their “pensions” with scratch tickets.

He also made sure to remind Canadians of the the Liberal’s exciting new plans to solve world hunger and Toronto traffic by pointing out the new check boxes on your income tax return directing your refunds to SNC Lavalin. Amounts to be determined and will vary depending on your location and breathing capacity.

The press conference ended on a sad note as the assembled Media took up a collection for a statue for The Revered Recently Departed Dear Leader.

An amazing $323 million was collected leading to calls for a review of Media subsidies.

Reporting from Little Hong Kong, Parliament Hill for the unbiased, non-partisan, pecksniffian CBC

your correspondent Che Pierre Fidel Tse Sung.

  16. More to my above point about how the House Justice Committee is rigged, at about 11:45 AM Eastern, the committee, along a party-line 5-4 vote with the Liberals in the majority, voted against having e-mails and other forms of communication, in the PMO to and from the AG office on the SNC Lavelin affair, tabled to the committee. This was Lisa Raitt’s motion. So the Liberal majority is deliberately stonewalling having an exact record of events. The question is whether or not the media will report the stonewalling.

  17. As the entire Third World is being emptied into the West at the invitation of Liberal governments and Multilateral political entities, the financial, cultural, and existential costs are fast-becoming untenable. Without organized political push back, European and North American ethnic groups will be eradicated within 100 years…

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zib2W-BXI68&time_continue=400

  18. Trudeau’s its for jobs reply is interesting. He seems to be saying that the only way a big Quebec company can stay in business is with bribes and prostitutes. But then he is from Quebec so I guess he knows.

  19. No prostitutes out west?

Please it’s not just Quebec it’s every level of governance in this corrupt communist country….

    1. He wasn’t coming out of his front door. He was in a public area, probably back from giving the ndpee advice on how to stuff ballot boxes. He’s a corrupt politician. That, in and of itself, will get him plenty of notice from people who know him.

  20. “The Gays” insisted Gay “marriage” was ALL about … LOVE.

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/44276/christian-baker-jack-phillips-scores-major-victory-amanda-prestigiacomo

Yet, even after the US SUPREME COURT ruled against “The Gays” harassment of a Christian Baker … the Colorado Civil Rights Commission doubled-down on their HATE of this Christian man following his beliefs.

Yeah … gay marriage … it was all about “love”. The LGBTQqewwww have a very peculiar way of showing their “love” … and I’m not talking about their bath house activities.

  21. a quick primer on unionboy

    > 100 yrs ago, working conditions were something out of feudal times except lots of machines.

when unionboys great-grandfather went on strike, j p bigdome would call up the police chief who would sent his uniformed enforcers ‘in’ to (literally) ‘crack some heads’. failing that, just shoot them.

fast forward and we now have unionboy hoffa being goodfellas with the Mob. aka teamsters, who control the waterfront, airports, garbage collection, etc

and take a detour to the coal mines of kentucky, w virginia, pennsylvania etc and watch from the shadows as unionboy tony boyle puts a successful hit on his main rival.

things they build fall apart, see ‘olympic stadium defective concrete (I think it was weakened from the presence of too many body bags in the mix)

another decade and we see jean claude perrot doing what unions do best, BLACKMAILING and making demands of ’40 for 30’ aka 40 hours pay for 30 hour work. at the time I didnt realize it would have been an improvement. lived next to a postie in the 80s and found out from the bloke on the other side of postie’s place, oh ya, when their done making the rounds, they punch out and head for the golf course.
at 130 in the friggin afternoon.

at this time CUPW specialized in shooting themselves in the nuts with every subsequent strike just in time for email and online bill payments and direct deposit to be invented.

and now, CUPE supports MADuro of venezuela. the same leftist dick tater who continues to block humanitarian aid at the borders.

and more on the teamsters. in my research on unionboy’s tactics, I found out they were *literally* beating up new members of the once UFW united farm workers of californicate.
wow. unionboy beating up union members. oh, right, that’s the one joined at the hip with the Mafia.

and dont fergit all the complaints about union leadershit emulating the likes of leonid brezhnev all sorts of perks and privileges the members dont even know about.

not to mention the 10s of thousands of ‘raise yer hand’ voting as opposed to a democratic secret ballot.

there ya have it re unionboy.
