Aside from the money issue, the Board of Governors (or whatever they call themselves) is going to be getting strong suggestions from their own legal team to ‘fire for cause’ the perps that caused this ruckus. They broke so many rules that any hope of further tenure or job protection…under the shadow of a $3M+ settlement…should be a foregone conclusion.
Assuming the University has some kind of Liability Insurance against this sort of situation, the insurer may also have something to say about it.
The apparatchiks should not only fired for cause but run out of town, tared and feathered on a rail. As should the administration that created a university atmosphere that allows this sort of Stalinist ‘troika’ inquisition. Further, there are probably a few thousand other Marxists embedded in the other universities faculties and administration covering for each other that should also get the boot.
We were warned by a few for decades that this was taking place and the people slept.
Hopefully she cleans up in the lawsuit.

I think if they do not take some serious remedial action to address the systemic bullying and institutional privilege of the faculty, it should be taken as a sign that they are over funded. They should have their funding cut by an additional 3.6 million every year until they do.

I’m no legal expert but maybe the universities liability insurance will refuse to respond to this action? I think this might be deemed a deliberate act. It was conceived planned and carried out. Usually deliberate acts are not the subject of liability insurance.
