    Well, according to the US DOJ, 0.0% of black women were raped or sexually assaulted by other than black men, when the perpetrator can be identified. Okay, actually less than 0.05% to within rounding accuracy. Admittedly, the stat is from 2008, but I don’t see why there would be much change since then. I would welcome anyone who can link more recent stat.
    It seems the only fear black women have for raping and sexual assault would be from black men.

  8. I don’t have the slightest interest in watching anything that Oprah Winfrey is involved in. However, I am completely mystified regarding her success. I have pointed this out to my wife on many occaisions. Winfrey isn’t really attractive by any stretch of the imagination. She performs in a substandard manner when conducting interviews with endless lobbing of softballs at her lefty guests and outright rudeness and juvenile behaviour when dealing with those with whom she disagrees. She hasn’t demonstrated any singing ability or sense of humour. And perhaps most importantly of all, she gives every indication of not being too bright. What’s the attraction?

  9. I thought Tom Hanks was supposed to be The Great White Hope. After all, he has the endorsement of Michael Moore and Meryl Streep. Does it get more convincing than that?
    Personally I don’t think the guy is even that good of an actor, so I don’t know why they think he would make a good president.

    I agree with you. OK, I liked her in “The Color Purple” but I think that was way back in 1985.
    I should state here that I don’t dislike her either. It’s more a case of just not being her target audience (hint: my wife likes to watch her).

    Winfrey is no slouch. She is known to be a sharp businesswoman. She built herself up from nothing at all to become one of the wealthiest (if not the wealthiest) African-American women in the US.
    That takes some doing and you don’t have to a fan of her to acknowledge it.

    She’s a self made billionaire and CEO of numerous companies.
    She is eminently more qualified than the list of Democrats I’ve seen thus far.
    I did predict last year the Mark Cuban will be the Dem nominee.
    I will stick with that UNLESS Michelle Obama gets in the race.

  21. Tom Hanks is a local-contemporary of mine … having attended Skyline HS in the Oakland Hills … me, I attended the dreaded upper middle class HS “over the hills” … in ewwww suburbia. Hanks and I perfectly reflect the politics of our local upbringing. Hanks grew up in the Oakland Hills (the very TOP of the hill) where really, really, RICH liberals settled so they could still claim to be living on the “urban” side of the Oakland Hills. My grandparents (who raised me) lived in the beautiful suburbs, where they simply wanted to live … crime-free, safe, in peace. Despite living FAR from the urban jungle of central Oakland in the beautiful Oakland Hills, Hanks HS was subject to “bussing” in the 1970’s … so while my HS had (2) African-Americans … there were (hundreds) attending Skyline HS at the TOP of the Oakland Hills. So, Hanks grew up with liberal parents, and a raging guilt complex bourne of his vast “privilege” compared to his “bussed-in” counterparts. And then … Hanks goes on to enormous RICHES and FAME as a result of looking like the “friendly, boy next-door, white guy” … and his liberal GUILT quad-trebled! So, yes, I would expect Tom to become Oprah’s biggest cheerleader fanboi … because … he is “so close” to the “black experience” in America.
    And could Oprah ACTUALLY become POTUS. Well … put it this way … how many American Voters could resist a -black-woman-Santa-Claus- who leaves presents under their chairs … just for waking up in the morning. She would immediately be identified as President FREE STUFF. Trump simply promised that you get to KEEP more of what you EARN … SHE(2) will promise that you get to KEEP what you didn’t earn. It is tough to defeat Santa Claus … version 2020 … who keeps a list of naughty Republicans and nice Democraps and passes out FREE STUFF accordingly. Who would WAKE UP on the first Tuesday in November 2020 and actually HOPE that Santa’s sleigh lost its way to your house?

  25. Back in June of last year (2017) Oprah stated unequivocally that she will never run for public office. So I suspect she has more skeletons in the closet that haven’t been revealed. She would know that opposition research would find them out pretty easily and doesn’t want to be exposed.

  28. I think people identify with her as a human being. She is something of an inspiration for those that like her. Since I suspect that her audience is mostly women, the fact that she is not that attractive is not an issue. She has sometimes been a bit confessional about her issues (e.g. weight) so people trust her and feel empathy. I think she has a good thing going. As far as a run for the presidency goes, she has a nationally known name. So — apart from the fact that she would be totally unqualified to run the country — she would be a good nominee.

  30. I would not worry about Oprah’s policies. She will only get the nomination if she agrees to go along with the globalist policies — of course that is free stuff for some, but not something unique to an Oprah nomination. I believe the globalists would be interested in having her run — like Trudeau and Macron. She would the be “front man” while others orchestrate things in the back room. I actually think she would be an especially strong candidate — she gets 85% of women and 100% of blacks. Dems have figured out that they need someone with populist appeal.
