The biggest problem is the signature followed by /DA.
This is how court documents were “signed”. A Roy Moore stamp followed by his assistants handwritten initials.
The signature is THE link between the inscription and Roy Moore and it looks to be falsified.
Note the careful wording Nelson used in her ABC interview after admitting she doctored the page with some notes. “The rest is all Roy Moore”. If the signature is copied from a court form (Nelson’s divorce papers) then her wording is technically true (ala Allred) while still being completely false as it would mean Roy didn’t actually sign the yearbook.
I think the upshot of this can be summarized in three words: Senator, Roy, Moore.

I’m not a fan of Roy Moore, there’s something off-putting about him. But, strictly from a legal standpoint, I don’t think there’s enough actual evidence to prove he is/was guilty of any crimes. The admission of a forgery certainly bolsters that belief. Absent solid and credible evidence, it’s not really that suprising that non-leftist voters aren’t abandoning him. If he wins then possible reasons:
-Republicans would never vote Democrat because they are appalled by progressive social and economic policies.
-if he is proven guilty, Moore will resign but the seat stays Republican. Since the GOP has only a slim majority this becomes an important consideration if conservative voters want legislation to get passed.
-they think the scandal has been either exaggerated or completely manufactured.
-they don’t trust the media and given recent high profile “mistakes”, who can blame them.
-the FU attitude towards progressive media, politicians, chattering class, academics and other assorted snobs is alive and well. The insults directed at “backwards, inbred, religious hicks” is not causing the intended shame or guilt but is instead provoking a rebellious backlash.
The guy has been prominent in law, the judiciary, and politics for 40 years and not a peep. Just before an election involving Trump haters, who seem to fake everything else, evidence suddenly appears. Of course it’s fake.
Final thought: I get the feeling that prominent progressives are mostly outraged that Republican voters aren’t behaving as expected, more than they’re outraged about the Moore scandal. The Big Brainz of progressive politics seem convinced that they thoroughly understand the motivations, triggers, temperament, etc., of conservatives. That academic studies have given them a secret psychological key to manipulate the unsophisticated rubes.
Unfortunately, the intersectional postmodern homogenity and conformity of humanities and social science departments have misled them. The studies relied on are riddled with problems like political bias, motivated reasoning, data manipulation and cognitive dissonance. The replication crisis and increase in retracted papers in those departments should have been a big clue that things have gone awry. In real life people are much more complex than a limited in scope study comprised mostly of college aged, upper middle class, liberal indoctrinated students and conducted/interpreted by ultra progressive researcher who dislike anyone not as radical as themselves. Their arrogance and bigotry will not let them see their blatantly obvious errors in understanding people they despise.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that finds it rather odd that these kind of 30 year old allegations come out whenever there’s a critical election on the horizon. There should be either a statue of limitations or actual proof before this crap makes the news. The victims industry is only shooting themselves in the foot if this continues because the public will eventually tune it out completely. When everyone is a victim, the true victims will never see justice. Victimization should have a best before date or the entire ideal will become contaminated and irrelevant.
Quite apart from the forged documents, the axe to grind accusers, the proven fake mall story the FACT is that there is a statute of limitations for a reason. The events in question stale dated several decades ago and there has been no new cases since.

This case caused a tsunami of horror for Dem gropers so on balance it’s worth the risk of losing the seat, given the Franken ouster.
On balance it’s good society seems to not just be getting even with the gropers, but moving towards zero tolerance for abusers.

You have to remember that this kind of behaviour – proactively finding salacious information on a Republican (or conservative) or generating false information – is a prime modus operandi of Democrats and socialists.
Accusation after accusation. They don’t care if those accusations are true or false. They don’t care. It’s the accusation that makes the mark.
Democrats and leftists don’t care about lying, being hypocritical, or throwing out false accusations. Their tactics also include intimidation, e.g., stay loyal to the collective or you’re out.
So, if you want to know whom a person is, look at his / her behaviour over time. Look at, for example, Al Franken’s behaviour over most of his life as opposed to, say, Roy Moore’s behaviour over most of his life to determine if those allegations have a basis in fact.
In other words, are those allegations consistent with his behaviour?

Several nights ago I did an analysis of the image. The first thing one must do is
find an area in the background that you suspect has not been digitally altered. I
chose the photo of the building. I then magnified the image enough to count the
number of pixels per inch with my trusty pocket scale. It was 16 PPI. After that,
I measured the upper two cursive samples and they came in at 14 PPI. The handwriting
on the two cursive elements were not even close.
The only possible explanation of the difference between cursive elements and the
background is that they were digitally inserted into the image. But, that leaves
the print material at the bottom with the date and the name of the restaurant. That
came in at the same 16 PPI as the background. It took me a while, but I figured it out.
If she added that after the image was printed out, this makes perfect sense.
The reporter snaps a photo of the image and any unaltered or added analog component
would share the resolution of the reporter’s camera. Photoshop hoaxers are generally
stupid. When one cuts an image from another source, it may have a different resolution
than the image it is going to be pasted on. This is even worse if it is resized for scale.
The only thing on that page that is genuine is the photo of the building. Everything else
is an amateurish Photoshop forgery.
The more I see of this stuff, the more I’m convinced of the value of statutes of limitations. There are some crimes/offences for which they’re clearly inappropriate e.g. murder, but there are others for which the statutes would, I believe, benefit not only the accused perpetrator but ultimately the alleged victim and society at large. Life will never be completely fair; people do change over time (some of them at least); human memories are plastic; and at a certain point we’re all better off to just move on. Is there any social or personal, let alone deterrent or rehabilitative benefit to dusting off allegations from forty years ago? The obvious political gain to making these accusations, to the compromise of the integrity of the democratic process, outweighs any diluted “justice” that may be obtained so long after the alleged incident.

First, I don’t see a slash. Second, there is a period between the D and A. Third, Mr. Moore was a District Attorney in 1977, so I would not be surprised to find him appending “D.A.” after his signature. I don’t know if he did so or not on non-court documents, but it’s plausible.

Regarding my previous post, upon further research, it appears that he was a Deputy DA in 1977. This from the Alabama Unified Judicial System website:
“Chief Justice Moore completed his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1977.
During his legal career, Chief Justice Moore became the first full-time Deputy District Attorney in Etowah County, Alabama, and served in this position from 1977 until 1982.”

God moral character normally refers to criminal convictions. It has been a long time since simple moral judgements have been allowed in the public domain with the lack of criminal conviction. If the Senate refuses to seat Moore, I suspect he will go to court and as part of discovery will demand the full details of all the hundreds of harassment claims settled by Congress. I suspect they will seat him.
At the time of the alleged event, Moore was an Assistant District Attorney, not a
DA. Second, the signature of Roy Moore followed by the Initials D. A. was from
his judicial stamp and initialed by his assistant Delbert Adams. That is the
contention of both Judge Moore and his attorney. It is kind of hard to perpetuate
a hoax based on a stamp that did not even exist until years later.
As I have done a pixel analysis of the image, there is no doubt in my mind that
this is one of the most amateurish Photoshop forgeries I have ever seen! Along
with almost every other element of her story, she lied when she claimed to have
never seen Moore after the day of the alleged event. He presided over one of her
(3) divorces.
Add to that blatant lie the fact that all she had to do was dig her divorce records
out of the closet and scan the image of what she thought was a signature. The
the only thing that was genuine on that HS yearbook page is the image of the building,
but we were not looking at the actual page, what we saw was a printed copy of a highly
manipulated digital image.
When you see 13.33 difference between the background image and the pasted material,
you are looking a forgery! Any unaltered digital image will have a consistent PPI
count. There is no way this is not a forgery!
